Catching Monster Fish Trapped In Tiny Pools!!! (Very Rare!) | Jiggin' With Jordan

What's up guys, Brandon J. And I am finally back from the Amazon. I'm back in Columbus, Georgia, and the river's a little bit dirty right now, so I decided to do something different. Honestly, just wanted to get out. I wanted to explore. I wanted to go fish. I wanted to do something. I just wanted to film. So today, I'm just gonna have a fun day. Right now, I'm obviously at this giant dam, as you can see, and it's part of the river. So this is how the river works. It's dammed off. I do have my fishing rod with me today, and basically what we're gonna do is we're just gonna kick it old school, man. And I used to fish the dams back when I first started YouTube, and I decided I wanted to do that again, so here we are. Basically, there's a lot of water trapped in these rocks, and there's a lot of fish that kind of get stuck in these pools. But on the other side of a cement wall way down there, there's another big part of the river, and it's a different part that's dammed off. So we're gonna explore that too. We're gonna fish over there. You can catch stripers, spotted bass, gar. I think there's even an otter that kind of runs around in here, so maybe we'll see him as well today. But long story short, I'm just gonna be having fun today, man. I'm just gonna go out, have a good time. You guys might even see me with my headphones in at some point. I'm gonna be listening to some music, hanging out. I woke up, and I was just like, man, I wanna go out, have fun, do something a little bit different, and just share that with you guys. I've been going so hard and filming and editing so hard with the Amazon series. Wanna take a little break, just do something that's super fun, and just kind of hang out. All right, well, this is gonna be interesting. No, no, okay, oh gosh. Oh gosh, more trees, geez. Brennan Jay, the true champion. All right, I'm gonna continue moving. Well, I found a basketball. There's so much crap over here. Kind of sketched out that there's gonna be like a giant snake or something. All right, good thing I only brought my most expensive equipment today, just in case I fall down and break something. I'm gonna lose an expensive rotten reel and a really expensive camera and lens, and microphone, and Joby, geez. All right, wow. Dude, look at this. This is honestly so freaking cool. This is gonna be so much fun today. There's something huge moving over there. How do I get to that? Do I fish this first? Look at me, I'm like a kid in a candy store. I have no idea what to do. There is a massive gar right here. Oh my goodness. I'm gonna cast in at him. Oh my goodness. I gotta move super slow. Look out, one's got it in his mouth right now. He's swimming away with it. I think he thinks it's a real, real thing. He's gotta eat it though. Come on, eat it, eat it. Ah, he spit it out again. There he goes. He ate it. No way, no way, no way, no way, no way. I freaking got him. No way, no way. Dude, no way. No freaking way. Oh my gosh, dude. This is a real big fish. I just gotta tire him out because he's an absolute monster. Oh my goodness. Okay, come here, come here, come here. Dude, he's ripping drag. All right, come here, bud. Dude, look at the teeth on this guy. Oh! Dude, I was not expecting this. Wow. Would you look at that? Is he ready? Oh, I can bring him over to shallow water over here. Oh, my camera's over there. Oh no! Oh! Whoa, whoa, whoa. He's not ready. Look, he's just stripping me right now. Bulldogging me. And my drag's pretty tight right now. Jeez. He is probably shredding my line right now. I gotta let him tire himself out because it's not gonna be good. It's not gonna be fun to hold onto these things or anything. All right. Come on, come on. Relax, buddy, relax. Let's go this way. Let's move him to the shallows. We're gonna swing him on up here. These guys are so sketchy because they have the most enormous teeth. All right, he is unhooked. I hate grabbing these freaking things, man. Holy crap. We're gonna let this guy go. He's a freaking beast. A freaking beast. Oh, my gosh. All right. Let's turn you around. He's gonna wanna kick off here. Oh, there he goes. Look at that prehistoric fish. Woo. Those things fight like crazy, man. They're so freaking full of power and they are so sketchy with those giant, giant teeth. That's why I was so scared because, man, those things turn and they will rip you. If I had somebody else here, I would probably show the fish up close, but I had no help and I didn't wanna keep that fish out of the water, even though they're almost impossible to kill. That was insane. Wow. Oh, the guard. Oh, my gosh. The guard hit my hair jig. The guard hit my hair jig, but he didn't eat it all the way. This place is honestly so unreal. It looks like a different planet. It's like I'm walking on Mars or something. Oh, geez. Oh, shoot. That's a far drop. I don't remember that either. All right. Ooh. That's a good size one. I am freaking exhausted from going all up and down the hills like crazy. However, now it is also sprinkling. So I don't really know if that's a good thing because it's cooling me down. It's keeping me cool. I was so freaking hot. Or if it's a bad thing because normally when it sprinkles here, a big rain comes in and I don't really want that. But anyway, I think some of this rain is going to distract the fish from me a little bit. A guard just kind of surfaced over there. So I'm going to cast in, see if I can catch something. No way. She's got it. There it is. No way. This one's not fighting. I've got this one. Look, she's just swimming right here. So I just pulled one of the most rookie moves ever. I freaking, my GoPro battery died. So I fought the fish basically, tired her out. Now she's right here. I changed up the battery. And now we just got to get her on land. She's still got a little bit of fight left in her though. Just got to kind of finagle her back this way. Come on, girl. Come on. All right. I don't trust you. Okay. Got you unhooked. That's my favorite part. Grabbing you. Don't, don't go crazy. Oh my goodness. Another big, big gar. This has, this is the craziest thing. I think she's about to jump. I want to let her go back in the water, but one of the coolest fish ever. They are so freaking dope. These fish are just, they're honestly one of a kind. I'm going to let her go. Back into the water here. There she goes. Another good one. Wow. There she goes. She just grabbed a little bit of air. There's just something about that big of a fish in such a tiny little, tiny little pond or tiny little water hole. I can't believe my GoPro battery died. Take a seat. It is blistering hot. I think it is so hot because not only is the sun hot and it's like very humid, but these rocks like get heated up by the sun. So it's like radiating from up top and that rocks are heating up and it's radiating from the bottom. Very, very toasty. This is dope though, man. I'm having a really good time. Like in the beginning of the day, like I was kind of let down because I came out here just to have fun. That was like the whole purpose of the day. I came out here just to have a good time. Not like anything in mind other than just catching a few fish or whatever. But I thought it'd be so easy when I saw all of those fish this morning, then it was a struggle, went to the dam, that was a struggle, came back and like this hole has produced. There goes another guard down there. But this one with all the fish, like for some reason they're just not biting. Like I can't get anything in there. So it's very weird, but I'm having a great time. I wish I would have brought freaking water. That would have been just so freaking clutch, but my savior, he's here. What is up, buddy? What's up, man? I got you a lot of water and some Coke. I love you. You look like you wore out. Yeah. And sunburned. Yeah. I should have brought you some sunscreen. Dude, I'm telling you, I was like, I'm about to drink some of this water right now. I was like, I'm going to do it. You didn't bring any water? No. Oh, Steven. It's beautiful out. It's hot. I did not expect it to be that hot. Yeah. It's so hot. I was like, we just got back from the Amazon. We know hot. No, that is hot. Yeah, it's really hot. Super freaking hot. And I wore black like an idiot. Jake actually put me onto this spot recently. He said there was fish here. Was there fish? Yes. Yeah? Gar, like you saw, but I saw a giant catfish. Catfish? Catfish, flathead, and those giant bull carp. Like the ones that are so big that they scare us when we see them. They're all stuck in these little puddles? They're all stuck. What I'm thinking will be cool is if we dive in there. That'd be kind of fun. Like dive, explore. How clear is it? It's crystal clear. Like these are crystal clear. Oh, the further back ones? Yeah. That sounds like fun. And I didn't even know there's catfish in there or carp. So that's really awesome. So hopefully we could go down there and maybe grab them with our hands. Like that'd be fun. The first bass of the day. Mr. Jake or the almighty here. Let me get a good look at this guy, man. What a cute little guy. Are you talking about me? I was actually going to make a joke and say the fish was cute too. Oh, man. I made my day. Oh my gosh. Jake just comes down here, catches a fish. He's like, all right, I'm good. I'll go now. But no, honestly, it was a blast today. I didn't expect to catch those gar like that. Just two big gar. I wish I could have caught more, but I know next time come down on here with like some chum or something like that. Those fish know the difference between live bait and plastic. So I have to give them something with some real meat on it next time. So today was a massive success. Like I said, in the beginning of today, I just want to come out here for fun. And that I did. I had a blast. Honestly, I got freaking really dehydrated. So Jake saved me. He drove down here, got me some water and a nice soda. So big shout out to Jake.
