this [ __ ] this
[ __ ] i just can't bear it because it's
[ __ ]
pretty devoed pretty devastated
can you give me a little bit of space
hi everyone welcome back to my channel i
hope you are well
i i'm so excited
for this reading vlog so you've probably
seen the title and you're like what the
hell
is cis going on about this is going to
be called booktuber scavenger hunt
or something along those lines and the
way that this video is going to work
is i start with one booktuber one of my
favorite booktubers i ask them for a
reading prompt similar to like a
readathon reading prompt
they give me it i go away pick a book
read a book based on it in this vlog
and then i go and tell them whether i
liked the book how many stars i gave it
and based on that they give me the next
booktuber to go to
to get the next prompt
beyond the first booktuber i have no
control over which booktubers i'm going
to be speaking to for this video
i also have no control over what the
prompts are going to be like i just
think it's going to be a great
time i'm really excited for this when i
came up with this idea i was like my
mind
my mind see i'm telling you i have the
mind of a master
master i have the mind of a mastermind
what's that i don't know but
you know i'm so creative like i have
decided to start with mina from mina
reads mina was one of the first
booktubers i started watching when i
came into this community i've spoken so
much about how much i love her if you're
not subscribed to mina you definitely
should be but like
sis just hit 20k she's doing so well
right now and she deserves all of it and
more and i love her i'm gonna pull up
her video i haven't watched it yet and
i'm gonna see what prompt she gave me
hi megan your first prompt is to read a
book with pink on the cover
good luck happy reading
sis clap if you have anxiety
[Applause]
i'm looking at all of my unread
i'm looking at them all going okay i see
if you let me okay
so these are all the choices that we've
got the first is feminists don't wear
pink and other lies by scarlett curtis
which is a non-fiction book i'm not in
the mood for non-fiction so i'm not
picking this
then i've got two classics which is
alice's adventures in wonderland and
through the looking glass
and little women not in the mood for a
classic right now it wasn't something to
be liked it was something to be
understood from an academic perspective
obviously you're not an academic no so
i'm not going to be reading either of
those
so kind of the three that i'm choosing
between are with the far and higher by
elizabeth acevedo but i kind of
don't think this has enough pink there's
only like a tiny bit wild beauty by anna
marie mcmoore is one i want to get to
really really soon so this is definitely
a strong contender there's a lot of pink
flowers
and then lovely war by julie berry has
loads of pink
it's all pink everything's pink it goes
to
pink friday is in stores tomorrow give
it up for pink friday you guys
wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait
wait wait
wait no i'm not going to read any of
those i'm not going to read any of those
i'm not going to read any of those i am
sorry random i kind of
just did that i'm going to read meet
cute club by jack carbon
so i don't have this physically i have
it on kindle unlimited i got kindle
limited a couple weeks ago
specifically to read this book and i
know
i if i don't read it in this video i
won't read this book i just won't get
around to it
and this is one that i know mina really
liked so it works like i
i don't think i'll do this for every
booktuber like read one i know they
liked but
for this i get to read a book that i
that meena has recommended to me and
mina was one of the main reasons i
wanted to pick this
up so as far as i know this is about a
guy who runs a romance book club
and when he goes to the bookstore to
pick up the books he wants to buy
the guy there who's working there makes
fun of him however the guy
fancies him and ends up joining his book
club and like it's a little
romance between the two i'm just feeling
the love i
have only ever read two romances
both this yeah both this year gave them
both two stars
i have yet to like a romance book that i
read
so we're hoping we can change that i'm
only twenty percent of the way into meet
coot club and i just wanted to check in
because
i'm really enjoying it this is
everything i've wanted
from a romance i feel like i mean i'm
i'm barely into it
nothing's really happened yet we've only
met the characters and kind of set the
scene however
it's everything i want i love it
i love it firstly aside from the romance
it's like a book lover's dream like
seeing stuff like dnf
in there blows my mind just when they
speak about books and loving books and
loving recommending books
it just speaks to me their relationship
is really really cute i mean they
haven't got a relationship yet they've
literally just given each other their
phone numbers
jordan is kind of not i wouldn't say
uptight but he's very organized has his
way of doing things whereas rex
really loves taking the mick out of him
essentially and teasing him
and i just love their dynamic i i like
it actually i think in a romance when
one person is a bit more reserved
and the other person is a bit wilder and
like
really jokey but i think i like it more
so when it's from the
reserved person's perspective because i
think if it's not from their perspective
sometimes they can become too reserved
and too like uptight
whereas it doesn't feel like that when
it's from their perspective i'm loving
it i'm really enjoying it it's a really
short book
like it's only just over 200 pages i'm
hoping for a bit of steaminess i'm
hoping
a girl can wish two romances i've read
which i gave two stars
which are red white and royal blue and
nixon havana they're kind of both fade
to black
and so i just want a bit of smart just
it doesn't have to give me a lot
just like a little bit it's been a bit
saucy
i'm really enjoying this book i'm really
liking this book
the chemistry
i love the chemistry between the two
main characters
it's like it's hot i really like
how there's so much to the story beyond
just their relationship their
relationships for both them with their
grandmothers are really important oh by
the way i'm like 60 of the way through
just so you know
the relationships that they've had
throughout their life for their
grandmothers
are really important to the story so
although it's really short i feel like
it's got a lot of elements to the story
and it's not just their romance but it
keeps it simple and i'm so happy that
i'm finally enjoying the romance but
because like i said i've never read a
romance book that i have liked
so this is revolutionary this is history
but wow what a moment
i will never forget a moment that is
most pleasing to me i'm gonna go finish
it
and i'll let you know what i think of
the ending because i'm so happy i
finally
am loving a romance book i loved it
i just finished it and it was everything
i've been wanting in a romance i'm
so happy that i have finally loved a
romance it's taken us a while
it's about time it's taken us a long
time
to finally get into romance but like i'm
here now
i'm here i just want to read more
romance that's all i want to do
i just felt like the book had great
pacing it was so
cute their relationship was so
believable the characters are so
believable
it was a good mix of like storyline and
there was a bit of smart but like
not not too much i think there's only
two smart scenes
throughout the whole book and because
it's a really short book like 200 pages
i think that was probably the right
amount it could maybe it could have
taken one more
maybe i'd really recommend this if maybe
you're not that into romance
because like i said it's free on kindle
unlimited i'll see if i can leave a link
down below i think i should be able to
for you to get two months free of kindle
unlimited i could be wrong but i think i
can leave a link to that down below
so if it's something you're interested
in i'm gonna definitely check out some
more kindle unlimited books whilst i
still have my free trial
and then decide whether i want to keep
it you know if you're not
into romance that much you've never read
romance or like me you've read a few and
not like them at all
this is perfect it's perfect okay this
is a really british reference
but it's like a lovely thornton's
chocolate like you
feel okay so you know it's probably not
the finest chocolate out there like you
could get
like some artisanal truffles that are
like
so expensive but you feel bougie eating
thornton's chocolate like it's not
supermarket chocolate it's thornton's
anyone i don't know what the [ __ ] she's
saying but girl i am living that's what
it felt like to me like i know
i'm not a romance expert there's
probably like better romance books out
there
but it still felt great it was so lovely
experience it still felt
smooth in my mouth
anyway i have messaged mina telling her
that i loved it i gave it four stars
and she was so happy she was like yes
i'm so glad
i'm just waiting to hear which booktuber
she has picked for me to go to
next and so i'll see you next when we're
hearing who the next booktuber is and
what the problem's going to be i'm
nervous
i'm nervous i'm nervous
let me
oh my god mina chose zoe from zoe's all
booked
oh by the way i am at tom's house now
but you actually would have seen that
already in my
reading rush daily vlogs but in case you
haven't seen them and you're like [ __ ]
in a different place i'm at my
boyfriend's house now
i have like i would say three-fifths of
my unread books with me
so i think i should be able to complete
whatever prompt i've got
she just messaged me the video of her
giving me the prompt
and she said sorry not sorry for what
i'm about to make you do
i'm very nervous i don't want to read a
horrible book sorry i don't read a hard
book
please don't make me do this okay please
ignore me being a messy [ __ ] right now
i just got out of the shower
and i was too lazy to put makeup on put
something other than my husband's
clothes on so here we are
i'm zoe from the channel as always all
booked which used to be called it your
book nerd zoe
and in honor of my personal messiness
megan i'm pretty sure that you should be
reading a book
that you think is gonna be one star or
if you don't have any that you think
are gonna be one maybe two stars at the
most a book that you think is just gonna
be
super messy you're welcome and happy
reading
um this is ridiculous
this is [ __ ] ridiculous i thought
there's gonna be one star
this [ __ ] this
[ __ ] we can just find like a bad book
on kindle unlimited
this [ __ ] oh my god she really set me
up as well for the delivery oh my god
i don't know what to do like do i just
look randomly on kindle unlimited
and just find like a random book the
gender game
okay what's that because that looks
horrendous
it looks so bad in a world divided by
gender
oh this looks so bad how long is it it's
414 pages
ever since the disappearance of a
beloved younger brother violet's life
has been consumed by an anger she
struggles to control
already a prisoner to her own nation now
she has been sentenced
to death for her crimes but one decision
could save her life
to enter the kingdom of patriots where
men will and women submit
oh well i think i've got to read this
because it seems messy and i think i'm
going to give it one star like
the question is can i get through it
it's 414 pages like it's not even sure
one piece of advice don't read anything
if you don't read it it can't harm you
oh my god zoe why have you done this to
me this is this is why this video exists
okay it's got a 3.82 average rating
which is
much higher than i thought it would be
and 36 000 ratings
that's high only three people i'm
friends with on degrees have read it and
we've got a 2.75
a 3 and a 2.
this book i can already tell it's gonna
be problematic
i bet you there's not gonna be like any
trans or non-binary characters in this
i bet you're just gonna pretend like
trans or non-binary people don't exist
and that everyone's just male or female
and that's you know that's all that
there is
and mattress and patriot like is she
just putting
us on the end of words and pretending
they sound latin okay
obviously i've got to get into this book
i am now 15
of the way through the book which i know
isn't very long
but i just wanted to check in with my
initial thoughts
this [ __ ] is gonna be a mess but i'm not
actually sure if it's as bad
or i just put way too much because i was
distracted i'm not sure if it's as bad
as i was anticipating like it's not
gonna get anything more than a two star
no way no chance but it may get a two
star depending on like how
bad it is it's readable firstly this
whole like
gender divided world hasn't played much
of a role yet like
she's just been kind of in prison she
tried to smuggle her
younger brother into the male dominated
part of society because he failed some
kind of like
aggression test that means you can't
live
in the female dominated society and
because she got caught smuggling him in
she's been
kind of like child manual labor ever
since
she's been taken to the queen and
apparently the queen has been like
observing her
and like these sewage plants she's been
forced to work in and stuff and they
want her
to do this like crazy task that no one
else can possibly do you
first of all this [ __ ] loves adjectives
i've never read more adjectives
in like a short space of time as i have
in this it's crazy
it's so weird to read it's like child
writing but it's just
like a thesaurus his word vomited on the
page
there hasn't been any mention yet of any
like trans or non-binary characters and
how you fit into this society again i
can't see that happening
i'm like holding out hope that this book
will somehow address that like people
who don't
fit into either gender binary or who are
trans and like
what this society's attitude towards
that is the whole thing is based on
gender and i think
an outdated and like incorrect view of
gender
the whole basis of the story is
something that i disagree with
there was the girl she killed so she was
described as like
big ugly if you viewed her from behind
you could be mistaken for thinking she
was a man
so like a character is portrayed as
negative if they do not fit
the gender assumptions and gender
binaries that we know in our current
society so it's not like we're trying to
break down
gender expectation in this book like you
are supposed to conform and the
character and the narrator and the
author
oopsy daisy sees it as a bad thing if
you do not do so
it's time to grow up so i'm only 30 of
the way through now i don't know i'm
checking in with you so much because
it's not like i really have anything
notable to say
like nothing is really happening
but i just feel the need to come back
and tell you that this book is so [ __ ]
like it's so [ __ ] like it's just it's
just so bad a problem i'm having so far
is that it's obviously supposed to be
like matriarchy and patriarchy but when
we were in the matriarchal society
there wasn't anything that made it like
obviously matriarchal like i didn't see
anything
in which ways like women were like so
benefited in this society and we didn't
see any signs of that other than there
was a queen but when we got to the
patriarchal society
then it was like so aggressively women
can't live with the house without a man
women are men's property etc
but like it's almost like the
matriarchal society was like our society
and so
it's almost like the author is saying
you think you live in a patriarchal
society now well it could be a lot worse
not on my watch
not on my what and i thought it was
going to be a romance between the guy
that she oh i didn't mention it she has
to marry a guy to get in
to this society because her secret
mission means she has to go to the
patriarchal society and i thought it was
gonna be like an arranged marriage
romance but i think she's gonna fall in
love with the security guard at the
place that she's trying to steal
something from
and he's like all rugged and like has a
beard and lives in a cabin in the woods
and is like the most stereotypical man
you could ever think of like
masculine man so i just don't see i
don't i can't figure out what the author
is trying to do with this book like i
really can't
so
it's so bad i'm now 70
of the way through so i've read like 40
of it since i last spoke to you and i
honestly i don't know what's happened
and nothing's happened
i've made notes i've made notes the
makeover scene
there was makeover isn't even the right
word but
they were going to somewhere where
people would recognize her like she'd
met a lot of people in the
society and their their approach to this
was giving her a beard and a moustache
and a wick
and dressing her up as a man
if you're going to play a game girl play
it right
this society seems to have an obsession
with caged fighting i think that's like
their sport of choice
and it's honestly like the author has
just thought of the most
stereotypically masculine stuff and just
like chucked it in
and i think it could have been so
interesting if she had decided to look
at it from perspective
looking what it's like for kids or like
a young boy to grow up in this heavy
masculine society but it doesn't
apparently everyone's fine with that in
the society and it's only her
who can see all the issues with it as
you can tell i'm just exhausted by it
like i don't want it anymore
but i've read 70 percent of it and so i
might as well just finish it off i'm not
gonna dnf it
if this is like rebel city of india by
kendall and kylie jenner
where there isn't an ending like it just
carries on into the next book
i'm be so pissed let me be so pissed
just at least give me an
ending the weirdest plot twist just
happened and quite
frankly i cannot take any more
i lost our hope today
i'm empty so
it's a week later and the reading rush
has just ended
and uh i realized i never told you what
i thought about the end of this book so
it was one star
it was one star it was one of the most
terrible books i have ever read in my
entire life
i i i've kind of blurred it out with my
memory like i've kind of just gone
you know chucked it away because i just
can't bear it
because it's [ __ ] the ending one of the
weirdest
[ __ ] endings i've ever read i thought
it was on drugs reading it like
it was a fever dream that ending it was
so bad it was so bad
so don't read this book and zoe
thank you for the torture zoe gave me
the next booktuber to go to to get a
prompt and she gave me keris
aka one of the most kind lovely
booktubers that there is
so i'm gonna watch her prompt now hello
megan it's carys here from library of
paris
um if anyone's watching and you don't
know who i am you can find me everywhere
at library of paris i'm sure meg will
include a link in the description so go
check that out i have a prompt for you
um so i hope this is doable and this
isn't too crazy but like
i want you to find a book that you would
um recommend to one of your pets based
on
your pet's personality so if your pet
was a human
what book do you think your pet would
enjoy obviously
you're gonna read a book that you
haven't necessarily read so you just
have to go with what you think
but yeah give it a go oh my god karis
i i would love to do this with my cats
but i'm not currently living with them
i'm living around tom's right now so
what i think we'll do
is we'll do this with freddie the dog
who is tom's dog who is here freddie is
the most
optimistic dog i've ever met like he
just thinks the world is perfect
he he's always hoping that you'll play
with him like he always thinks now is
going to be the time
today is the day what kind of book would
you like freddy
he doesn't even want to fight properly
he's tired i think
we want to find the happiest book i have
i don't really know i mean i think
that's quite happy
yeah but i don't really fancy a graphic
novel right now he's not a thriller guy
i don't feel like he's hella thrillful
he's not a thriller that's about a woman
a girl who talks to the passengers in
planes
and that kind of sounds like that kind
of sounds like freddie
you're afraid you would talk to anyone
do you think i feel like yeah that's the
one megs you think
yeah 100. we have chosen arso passengers
by a.s
king this is actually going to be my
fourth a.s king
i've read and a lot of people say that
this is one of her best the last one i
read dick which
was her newest i gave five stars i gave
please ignore veod's five stars and then
i think i gave reality boy
two or three we were all
so happy that day it's
it's actually hard to even imagine how
terrible
things would soon become we've chosen
this book because we think you'd like it
oh don't chew it yeah he loves eating
books
you're so friendly we thought you'd like
to speak to the people in the airplanes
too
you know you go up to different random
people don't you all the time
you always say what do you think
so i am about a third of the way through
ask the passengers
essentially we're following astrid as
she sends
love to the passengers in the airplanes
above her and as with a lot of a.s
king's books it has that fabulism
element where the people on the planes
can actually hear her like they hear her
say something to them
oh well come on teletubby teleport us to
mars
but it's also about astrid's journey
figuring out her sexuality and like
learning that it's okay to be who she
wants to be in this small small american
town that is very intolerant
however i'm not enjoying this as much as
i want to there's nothing wrong with
it i'm just not particularly interested
in reading it
two of the three books i've read from
her are five stars and a lot of people
say that this is her best one
i'm kind of like panicking a bit i'm a
bit stressed out about this
it could just be that i'm suffering a
bit from reading rush burnout
because i read so much last week that i
just don't want to read i think that may
be part of it but also i'm just not as
into it as i am with her other books
it's almost not weird enough for me
it's okay it's okay hey okay
so there was a point the other day
when i thought this was gonna be a two
star and i was breaking my heart but
right now i think it's
at the moment it's like a three star
it's picking up a bit i am
on page 190 so i've only got
like 90 pages left it's getting better
i still don't love it as much as other
a.s king it's not what i was expecting
coming into this
a nightmare it's literally a nightmare
one thing i do think asking does really
well is a critique of small town america
like really bigoted ways of thinking
in some towns in america and what it's
like to be living there when you are the
outlier and you think
equality exists essentially so like i do
like that aspect of it i like the aspect
of
astrid coming you know coming to terms
with coming out possibly like figuring
out her sexuality like i like that
aspect of it
however number one the smaller thing is
that i don't always like the way astrid
acts and i have a problem with some of
the stuff that she has done
and i'm guessing that that's going to be
confronted at some point just not right
now but if that's not confronted i'm
going to be like
not happy also i
so like a.s king's books like fabulism
in the rest of her books it's kind of
like intertwined throughout the story
and this the only fabulism element
is her talking to the people on the
planes and them hearing her
however they're kind of like these very
brief interviews at the end of chapters
like she'll be having some kind of
existential crisis and she'll be like i
send my love to the people up there then
someone will be like
oh [ __ ] what was that i heard a voice
she's never aware
that they can hear her and so it's so
isolated
within the story and then the rest is
kind of like a contemporary
and i liked how the weirdness the
fabulism element was
all throughout ayus king's books and
they really affected the storyline but
here it just kind of feels like an
add-on
to an otherwise a contemporary story and
so i think that's the main reason why
i'm not enjoying it it has actually been
a struggle to read it which
ayus king is one of my favorite authors
so i'm pretty devote
pretty devastated can you give me a
little bit of space
please today i finished ask the
passengers
last night and although i liked aspects
of the ending
it wasn't enough to really change my
mind and i'm going to be giving it 2.75
stars which is
heartbreaking
[Music]
[Applause]
[Music]
[Applause]
considering a.s king was before this one
of my favorite authors so
i'm really sad about it i just think i
prefer aes king at her weirdest and this
was not weird enough for me you know i
said it's like a contemporary with a bit
of weirdness slapped in to like
make it better but it didn't really work
none of it felt
fully fleshed out and there were just
some things that pissed me off
throughout this in the way that it was
happening and i think they're just
personal things
but like it meant that i didn't enjoy
the reading experience so i'm going to
spoil it quickly so i'll put
spoilers up if you don't want to know or
if you haven't read this yet
basically at a frat party that she goes
to she cheats on her girlfriend with
another girl she makes out with her
it's never addressed she never tells her
girlfriend
that she has made out with this other
girl and i think they are supposed to be
exclusive like
they've been seeing each other for five
months so i mean you would imagine they
were exclusive by now
i understand that it is a key moment for
her in like
accepting her sexuality feeling fully
fulfilled in her sexuality like
it's a very important moment for her in
that regard however
you still cheat on your girlfriend and
you never tell her and there's never any
repercussions and then throughout the
rest of the book she's sometimes like oh
maybe i should ring that girl and meet
up with her and like she
genuinely doesn't see a problem with
that maybe it's like i said just a me
problem
and i have a problem with like people
cheating in books and there being no
repercussions but it just felt very
strange like a very strange add-on
to me and i liked the ending the last
couple pages very interesting
it's the only time that i felt like the
ask the passengers element really worked
and for that reason i feel like a.s king
had this idea
for the ending and the whole rest of the
book and the whole rest of the concept
are built around that
you're naughty naughty you're teasing me
you're naughty naughty
this just was not weird enough for me
from her
name caris gave me the last booktuber to
go to this is going to be the last one
that we do
she chose lily who i love lily's channel
i'll be linking all of the creators down
below all the booktubers who have been
featured
but you should definitely go check out
lily's channel if you haven't already
and she has just sent me through the
video so i'm gonna watch it
hey meg it's lily i hope you're doing
well and i hope your reading vlog is
going well
so i have been thinking about what
reading
challenge prompt to give you so i was
thinking about how much you love memes
and i was thinking about one of the meme
queens that i know we both appreciate
gemma collins
so my reading challenge to you is to
read a book inspired by gemma collins in
some way so i'm thinking
either a book you think gemma collins
might like herself
or possibly a book inspired by who she
is as a person so something very
dramatic maybe with lots of plot twists
maybe set in a reality show in like an
isolated location like she's done with
big brother and i'm a celebrity
with like a feisty main character who
has high standards who knows what she
wants
if you struggle with any of that though
just read a book that begins with
g but my main kind of reading prompt for
you is to read a book
that is inspired by gemma collins in
whatever way you see fit and you can
interpret that however
you want to really uh i hope that makes
sense
and i'm looking forward to seeing what
you pick oh my god lily
get that fire exit door i'm off okay so
my first
instinct was a book that has a similar
main character to gemma collins however
i soon realized i can't really tell if
the characters are gonna be similar
without reading the book i think i'm
gonna go
with something that has like a lot of i
think we'll have a lot of plot twists or
be very dramatic
i've chosen the death of mrs westaway by
ruth ware now i don't think this is a
book that
the gc herself would want to read
however
i think as as it's a thriller it's gonna
be very dramatic
have a lot of plot twists all of ruth
ware's books i've read in the past
are like really plot twist heavy and
you're like
another reason that i picked this over
all my other
thrillers is that the premise of this is
that a woman receives a letter saying
she's inherited a lot of money
from a relative and she knows that that
relative
she really doesn't think she's related
to them however she goes along with it
to get the money and i feel like if
gemma collins
got a letter saying she'd inherited
loads of money and she knew she wasn't
related to the person
she would still go ahead you know with
with the cash grab
the entrepreneurial queen that she is
gemma collins would not miss a beat
gemma collins is in denial
i don't need to manage you think they
gonna pay my mortgage
i've got money i love ruth ware's books
i'm hoping this will not be a repeat of
the a.s king situation because
the two books i've read by ruth well
already have both been five stars
i've read eternity in one by one so
they are her newest books and i've heard
some people say that she has definitely
improved over time
so like maybe i should be a bit nervous
for this i have just got 100 pages into
the death of mrs westaway
and it feels very very different to
her other books ruth ware's two newest
books that i've read are like
super fast paced like a very intense
thriller
whereas this feels a lot slower and i'm
kind of like thinking now maybe
it does it's not going to have the plot
twists that i was expecting that's why i
picked it for this prompt
i feel like it's going to be a very slow
build intention
with like a big reveal at the end i am
enjoying it however i'm
i am finding it a bit difficult to read
sometimes i think it's because it's so
slow and i'm used to ruthless books
being real page turners
i'm [ __ ] ganged out i've had enough
of playing games
it's not her aunt that she finds out has
died it's actually supposedly her
grandmother
who has passed away and has left her
some kind of money in who she fakes
to go and pretend that she is the
inheritance because
she needs money so so badly there's
definitely something going on where i
think she
is gonna have some kind of link to this
family and she's been lured there
i'm now on page 240
of the death of mrs westaway this is
just so different than what i was
expecting like it's a completely
different book
it's much less exciting no
but i did tell a bit of a lie there it's
much
less dramatic and has oh
pen pen pen
is it pen
approximately 10 hours later okay they
scored the pen it just took a turn which
i wasn't expecting and i really don't
know whether to believe like i feel like
it's a lie
i don't buy it i could be wrong but i
just don't buy it i just don't think
it's
true what did she say just talking [ __ ]
it's a weird one it's really not i was
expecting it's such a slow read like
i was thinking on the last prompt i was
like oh if i
choose a thriller it'll be such a quick
read and i can just fly through it this
isn't
that kind of book it's such a slow book
it's not quite giving
me the theatrics that i want but i'm
gonna go finish it and
i'll let you know what i think ignore my
spot we're just
not talking about it i just finished the
death of mrs westaway
and a lot of people say that the start
of this book is really good and then the
ending isn't great
whereas i thought it was the other way
around i don't think it really picked up
into the final 25
at all like i feel like the final 25 was
the best
part of it i thought the ending was good
but
a lot of it was what i expected but i
kind of think you're supposed to expect
it there wasn't any surprises
i'll say that but i thought it was well
written and well crafted and an
enjoyable ending
this could have been way shorter though
like it did feel like a bit of a drag
there was a lot of scenes that did not
need to be there
i feel like it really could have been
edited down and i would have preferred
it much more
throughout most of it it was like a 3.5
but i think i am going gonna up it to a
four
