Evergreen Gold Wreath with beautiful bow

hello good afternoon and welcome to my life for Sunday today we're going to be doing one of these so this is a 24 by 20 inch evergreen rate so I thought it'd be fun to do one of these so I'm a minute early so hi how are you doing I'm gonna put it down alright so we are going to be doing and evergreen we're gonna be doing it in gold hi how are y'all doing today so I have some pretty gold ribbon how are you and we're gonna just make something fun I'm not quite ready to be done with Christmas yet so oh thank you you're so sweet hello ladies how are you so we're gonna do a nice big bow and this is a one and a half inch two and a half inch and two and a half inch and though so he did oh I'm so excited for you I love my glue gun think it's the bomb I can't wait to hear what you think of it yay okay so I'm just gonna start making a bow and I'm gonna actually use the the little ribbon that comes with or the gold wire that comes with the bowdabra hello I'm so glad you're feeling better today I'm glad hi thank you okay so it's taped I just got a new one so otherwise I want to use this is because we're gonna be doing gold hey Linda so we can use this gold wire and then we'll work out perfectly alright here we go so I'm just gonna take oh let's do about we don't want to have my school do about 34 inches of the gold wire I should use my scissors okay so I'm just gonna put that down in the bowdabra hello so this is going to be my first one so I want to have and if you didn't hear this is a 24 inch evergreen it's offset that much here so we can do our butter oh yay yeah I thought Sunday's it's better to do it in the afternoon because then it doesn't interfere with church so I'm gonna do about a three edge loop it's about right here hi Chris and Lily I'm just gonna have a little bit of excess here to make sure that it's gonna have enough to rip down I'm gonna put that down do my other side I haven't done one of the evergreens yet so I thought that would be fun to do today happy Sunday so I'm gonna twist it so I can get that pretty side back up I want it to match the same size as this one hi so I'm gonna do three of each one you see I'm wearing my Christmas today I couldn't help myself I'm getting excited it's almost here so I just keep twisting and bringing it back to the center so I've got three now so I'll just trim this off are you having a connection problem I hope not see I can never tell because what I see is very different from what y'all see okay so have the three of the one and a half inch now I'm gonna do the two and a half inch sitting that pretty so this one and this one came from Sam's they have awesome ribbon so this time I'm gonna do a four inch so that right here and as you'll notice I'm putting this down so you see there's a little bit overlap from the last one oh good I'm glad y'all can see it okay all right so those look about the same see it's overlapping a little bit oh no go out and come back in and see if that helps it because sometimes that helps it so I'm gonna twist it and come back around and twist again see how you're doing this getting that pretty side up so we have to I want to do one more so I'm at the middle I'll twist it get that back up again and we're gonna add our tails after we get it off here because we're gonna do something fun with the tails alright so I have three loops of this one I'll just trim that off and the bowdabra I don't know if I've shown you this before it comes with this little tool and you can stick it in between and kind of push it down so that your bow won't stick up but we're gonna set this down this is gonna be the last one now I'm gonna put this in the back but we're not going to use this as a tail we're just going to use these two as our tail this one we're going to do about 5 inches I'll put that down I just wanted to have a little sparkle in the back thank you ok so let's see yeah it's about the same so we're gonna do three on this one so twist it come back around [Music] twist it again I love this but boy does it get Sparkle everywhere and of course if you don't have a bowed area you can do this by hand this is a really simple bow so I thought we just whip out the bowdabra save us a little time so I've got three on this side I'll do my last one here so every time I get to the middle I just twist it and come back back oh yeah and I'll turn that off so we won't need this one again so I'll just put it away that's some serious stuff hey all right so we have gotten it to where we want we have three of each Merry Christmas so I just pull it out I've got my wire here and I'm gonna push it down make a little tie in here I'm gonna tie it as tight as I can possibly get it I'll tie it one more time there we go now that's nice and tight so what I can do make sure it's very tight with high well I'm glad you're here so we're going to take this Merry Christmas and we're going to put it on the wreath but first let's work on our tails so this is what we're going to do we're going to have this is going to be at the top like this and we're gonna have our tails coming down so I'm both of these I'm just gonna set on top of each other yes I have done that too I know this is not I mean this is gold wire but it is not as tough as the floral wire so if you're worried about it just use for a wire hi so I'm gonna put these two together and I want two yards so I'll just come down here to my Mac absolutely I almost didn't do a lot today but then I thought nope we're gonna do it it's they're more fun I think they're more fun okay so I have two yards I do I sleep I sleep when my kids sleep which it's not as much as I would like but you know once you have kids you never really quite get enough sleep again alright so I'm going to find the middle of this right here here's my middle I'm gonna go back to this and I'm just gonna tie it on the back what no it's okay and it doesn't have to be perfect absolutely I enjoy it very much okay so I got it tied on so let's see I think we're gonna put it right here see what I'm doing is just kind of looking at this it looks a little thinner up here hmm actually it looks a little thinner right here so what I'm doing is finding the thinnest spot to put my look let's get our glue to put my ribbon because it'll help fluff that part that spot up so I'm just going to take my gold wire here bring it around the back and tie it you've come in sassy I'm gonna tight pretty tight and you know what you can also do hi how are you Liz you can use this and go ahead and make something to hang it from why do you have it just like that just a little time-saving trick all right so now we're gonna fluff this bow out seeing that gold pretty I love that gold and this has gold and a little bit of bronze in it so that's kind of really compliment each other so it's just a simple bow this is gonna be way more about the tails than the bow so I just kind of fluff it out get all my old pieces out thank you you too okay so like I said this is more about the tails and it is about the bow happy Sunday okay so what we're gonna do with these tails is we're going to take this like this and we're going to take a little bit more of that gold wire soon as I figure out where I put it aha here we go oh cool okay so my mom really likes the gold that's why we're doing this today because I've been wanting to do one with gold I just think it's fun so I'm just gonna cut some small lengths of this gold wire this is what you get with the bowdabra when you get the bowdabra but weren't they funny you know these are those lularoe I love these things yeah you know what the bowdabra is great because it's great and it's inexpensive you don't need the deluxe or anything just get the basic one and it's like 13 or 14 dollars I mean you can't beat that that's less than most scissors so so I just cut some gold wire know what I'm going to do is I'm going to tie it so here now you can either use the gold wire or you could use the greenery too if you wanted to just use the greenery but I'm going to use this gold because we're going to put little ornaments and stuff right where we tie it so I'll just pick one of these and tie it on to the evergreen yes they are so comfy I'm obsessed with them it's a bad it's a bad addiction the lularoe okay so then we're gonna do so we got one now we're gonna do another one right here yey-hey I'm gonna tell you this is the time to ask for stuff ask him for the yes the bowdabra of the probe oh the rotary cutter the mat these things help so much okay so I'm just tying it on okay there we go so we've got two yes they have it at Walmart they have at it Amazon today we're going to do one more this will be our third one so it's gonna pinch it and tie it again hey I wonder if you could take your 40% off sticker to coupon to Hobby Lobby and get it 40% off thank you it'd be worth a try Amazon I love Amazon I am an Amazon person okay so we've got that side done now let's do this side so we're going to tie this one up here right only on regular price but if you get it on regular price and you get 40% off it's a lot yeah it's usually like $13 on Amazon - so it's not expensive thank you so this is gold Christmas or as you could consider it New Year's or winter okay so I'm just gonna tie it down again here we go now I want to go in a little bit on this one so I'm going to go in this way oh how nice what a sweet husband yes exactly you gotta love those coupons Michaels has those too so if you saw it for their little rewards program you can get it they have that it oh wow that's good okay they have that at Carolina pottery here too it does take a while that's the thing with Etsy it's all about the algorithm there but you just got to keep it up don't give up on it just give it a little time okay and I'll tell you a little trick Valentine's doesn't sell very well so you can make Valentines for yourself but I wouldn't make very many to sell because they're not very popular the mardi gras is popular and easter believe it or not you can start working on easter now I'm so glad all right so I've gotten it to the bottom we're going to do one more tie to get these two to the same place so I'm just going to tie it off right here not need a whole lot so then what we're going to do is we're going to bring out our ornaments start putting some cool I love sparkly things I love Hobby Lobby we just got a new one that's a lot closer to me my husband likes it too he likes to do those model cars we're over there a lot both of us okay so now you can separate them or you can keep them together we're going to put just a couple more so now we're going to put a couple in the middle so let's see well maybe 16 inches I do at the on the description after this post after after we get off here I'll put it on there I have links to all of the tools at the bottom of my page my affiliate links so I'm just tying it in the middle I'm just going to take one of my little gold wires and there's a reason I did this separate I just didn't want it to be really kind of underneath the ribbon I wanted it to come out in front so I specifically did this separate I am definitely gonna be doing some Easter ones so I just kind of put it on this will evergreen that's below the bow so you're not going to be able to tell it's not really on the bow it'll just be below it there we go so I want one to come in the back and one to come in the front like that see how it's up here you can do it either side you can also do it on both sides alright now look what I have oh it's gonna be fun now we get to decorate it so we got all of our ribbon on the other thing you can do is you can get some more of this ribbon and kind of pull it out down here so what I'm going to do is I'm going to take a flower or an ornament or something like that and I'm gonna put some glue on it and I'm gonna put it on every point where I tied my ribbon and all that does is for one thing it adds just a little bit more sparkle see and I have several different colors because this ribbon has a lot of different colors so that's why I like to put all the different colors and it just kind of gives it more interest you know where I got these from I got these from the Dollar Tree haha I was so excited when I got over there and saw that okay now for this ribbon down here I'm just going to cut it at an angle that takes care of that now we have some really big ornaments that I want to add so I must go stick them in here see the big gold I also have my little glue pot back here so you can always stick it in the glue pot which is really just a high it's really just a electric skillet little piece fell down in there now I'm sticking to everything there we go okay so you can do it either way you can use your glue gun or you can get an electric skillet or a crock pot and you just put regular glue sticks in it nothing special and I have these little aren't these cute I thought these would be fun kind of placed in if you go to Hobby Lobby calm they'll you can pull it up right on your phone and they'll just type the number in right from your phone I do that all the time it's a matter of fact I just kind of leave it up on my phone and and then when I go I just pull it out and give you so these are just little gold stars and I'm just kind of placing them in various places I'm just putting glue on it like that hi I have little ones little bitty go to balls see those I have a ton of these so you can just load it up then I have different sizes see it doesn't look that fabulous when you first put the the ribbon on but then once you get going it starts getting better so we're going to put another big one right down here in the middle kind of making a triangle hi look I have little little Christmas presents aren't those kids so let's see I'll put one right here there we go now look at these aren't these cute I thought this would be a really cute place next to each other so we've gotta find a good spot let's see actually I think I'm gonna put down here at the bottom so I'm just gonna pull this off hey blue so I'm just gonna put a good amount of glue on it these aren't really the kind it you could that you could put something through they would break so I'll just use glue and that's okay oh it is so cute yes a lot of these ornaments came from the Dollar Tree like these these are Dollar Tree this came from the Dollar Tree these little doves those are cute they also had like a little sleigh you could do like a little sleigh I have this you could do like joy in the center see and it works because this ribbon has see how has that kind of same color there see and I can put it right here right in the center one of the reasons I like this is because it has several different colors so you can do kind of the Braschi and the gold this one has a wire yeah so what do you think joy or no joy uh-oh my stream web shutdown ah there we go so what do you think joy or no joy my comments kind of dropped off there for a second I had to go reopen it all right so now so the sign has little like places you can put on it right here and right here so I'll just take some of my green floral wire right here and I'll just run it right to the Evergreen it'll hide right in there so it already has some little clear on it but I'm just going to take that off and I'll just use the green I could also use the gold wire that came with the bowdabra so either one of those would work you see all I'll do is just tie it right on to this evergreen like this I'm just one twist it around right there and I'll get one for the other side so when I get it in there I'm just kind of twisting it yeah the only reason that I like to be SuperDuper full is Marty Krofft now I'm Mardi Gras you kind of just have to go crazy but I don't like to too much there we go so there's our joy joy I like that so now you could just be done and I didn't put anything else on it or see this is that like that I have all kinds of stuff you can put little bells on and I like that but what you could do is take these little things just like little stuff like this and kind of put it randomly just to give it a little bit more height I like to do that so like that oh thank you you know and the rule of thumb when you're putting stuff on a wreath is you kind of want things to be either draw a line like this or like this or like this so if you put one here put one here if you put one here put one here it helps to make everything look the right way nothing truck them to think of the word there we go so I'm gonna put one here okay you can also do the triangle the triangle works really well and you can add as much or as little as you want see I don't want it to have too much coming out thank you I'm happy to do it I've learned a lot over the years and I just like to be able to share what I learned see how that's looking oh that's so cute I really like that symmetrical thank you exactly what I meant haha thank you so much don't you hate it when you just can't think of a word so you could put things like this in it these are fine you can put especially if you want to put some stuff like coming out from the bow and this is where it really gets to kind of your personal taste what you like so you can have like little things coming out like this like right in here that's a lot of fun to have some things kind of almost look like they're coming from the bow yeah I do have couple more so any ideas and what you all would like to see next are you ready for me to move on from Christmas or do you want me to stick with Christmas as we definitely have a few more before Christmas gets here hop city look like one right there then I think that's enough at the top there you see how that just kinda has a little bit more Christmas I'm okay with that I love Christmas so what you think so far I think it's cute so what I do when I'm doing something like this it's I will set it up and look at it and what I'm looking for is I'm looking for places where it looks like I need to add something or where it's not so when I do something I draw an invisible line like this and I'm looking for things that don't look like they work in that line so and then if I find something like I think I need something right over here I'll just add a little something in and then pull it back up and see what I think then so well add you see how that makes it more like a line almost like there's a continuous line going around there I think that's good if you ever get these little things like this thank you if you ever get these little things like this when you're doing a wreath if you will get your hairdryer out and kind of put it on medium heat you can pull those right off they'll come right off yes exactly all right and that's the Evergreen wreath I hope you all liked it Valentines I will definitely do some Valentines I hope y'all enjoyed this I will start Easter
