Hello, welcome to my channel today. Today I am in the archaeological site of Knossos on the island
of Crete. Now this was the palace of King Minos and the Minoan civilization. It dates back to 1900
BC. Now there's a lot of history jam-packed in here and I'm going to take you on a walking tour
and also stay tuned for the end of the video. I'm also going to take you to the archaeological
museum in Heraklion near Knossos that has all the preserved artwork and frescoes.
And that is what makes this all complete. But anyway, there's so much to share. I'll
share it with you as we go along. Come along and join me and let's go see Knossos.
Palace spreads out among six acres including a labyrinth, main entrance on each of its four
cardinal directions, and extensive storerooms. Buildings developed around the central court with
more than 1,500 rooms. I share in this video 10 points of interest that were my personal favorites.
Wow, wasn't that amazing? I enjoyed Knossos even more. I've been here before than I ever have so
and stay tuned. Now I'm going to take you to the archaeological museum in Heraklion
that showcases the mosaics and artwork from the palace of Knossos. So stay tuned and let's go see
some incredible art. This really makes the tour complete so enjoy. So I'm walking through the city
center of Heraklion. I'm on my way to the archaeological museum and there's a really good
hint that we're almost there. Here we go. The Blue Ladies. Yes, that's a famous piece of art from
Knossos and I actually bought it years ago, a replica,
to hang on my wall. So that's how much I love it. So I'm looking forward to seeing it. All right.
