[S1 - Eps. 51] Crossing into The UAE

Thank you Good morning Internet, it is 7.30 in the morning and welcome back to the channel Today, I'm already leaving Oman. So I'm a little bit sad because I really like my time here, but I'm really ready to move on So today I'm going to Dubai I'll show you on the map So my round in Oman, I started in Muscat Then I went around here to Masirah. I went back up through the desert to Sohar where I am now and Today, I'm crossing into Dubai into the Emirates So it's only an hour ride to the border Then hopefully the border crossing is gonna be smooth fingers crossed and Then after the if I cross the border then it's also again, maybe one and a half hour or something to Dubai So it's a short ride today, but plenty of challenges I think so, let's go You want the same? Okay I'm going to Dubai, coming Oman. Yes. Yes Alhamdulillah I know, but it's difficult. Yeah, I only know Alhamdulillah Shukran Wahid Wahid, Idneen Hamza 3, 4, 5 Thank you I have successfully entered the Emirates. It was a pretty smooth border crossing. It took me about an hour Especially on the Oman side. It was super fast It was a matter of stamp the passport, stamp the Carnet and off you go and then on the Dubai side I couldn't record so much because I saw several signs not taking pictures and all of that. So I thought better not risk it and So my passport stamp that was very easy because I don't need a visa for Dubai Then I bought a motorbike insurance that I had to get that as well That was also pretty smooth and straightforward and then at the customs They actually picked me out of the out of the queue and they searched my bags And I had to open all the panniers and show all the stuff that I was carrying So that took some time, but all was good. And then they stamped my Carnet That was also a five minute job and There I am in the Emirates. So that went pretty good pretty smooth and I just stopped here at a shopping mall to To get in the local sim card, so I'm connected back online That is also good. So what I'm gonna do now Is before going to my hotel? I first I'm going to a kind of shipping travel agent type thing To try and buy a ticket for the ferry to go to Iran Because I don't know how busy these ferries get and when they go and the schedule and all of that I tried to figure out online, but it was a bit difficult So I'll just go there and see if I can buy a ticket to to the ferry to Iran Because I will stay in Dubai for a couple of days. I Have quite a lot of things I need to arrange here and to do here before setting off to Iran But it will be good if I already have my ferry booked so I'm gonna do that so let's go Hi And it goes on Mondays, Thursday and Sunday Can I then, could you book it for this Sunday? So that's my ticket to Iran done, Sunday It will be an overnight ferry so Sunday evening I have to go to Sharjah, which is a little bit I think north of Dubai and catch the ferry so Sunday is perfect for me because it will give me the whole week To make all the final arrangements for Iran and also start preparing for Turkmenistan Which I will enter after Iran and that is an even harder country to get in so I need to do quite some Preparations for that as well So I have a couple of days here in Dubai to do that so that's perfect so now I'm gonna go to my hotel and Leave my stuff and check in I arrived in my hotel in Dubai, it's a pretty nice room very decent And I will probably stay here the full week actually so on Sunday, I will go to Iran on Sunday, I will take the ferry to Iran and On Thursday, I have a appointment with the embassy of Turkmenistan in Abu Dhabi So there I'm gonna try to apply for my Turkmenistan visa It's quite a difficult situation about the whole Turkmenistan visa But I will tell you more about that in the next video so in the next video I will ride from Dubai to Abu Dhabi to go to the embassy and try to get my Turkmenistan visa Arranged or at least apply for it.
