2 Minutes in Heaven: Woman Recalls the Peace She Experienced After Death

At first Janelle thought she was just having indigestion. Then the pain got worse. She called 911 and just minutes after the EMTs arrived, Janelle woke up in heaven. I didn't have pain at all. What is everyone back on earth doing? I wasn't worried about that. I wasn't worried about anything and I was overwhelmed with just the peace and just the joy and the glory of it all. Pretty quickly after finishing eating, I had a feeling that was heavy in my chest but just felt like indigestion and didn't really think a whole lot of it. And then I noticed pain in my left shoulder. It started to kind of go up near my jaw. My breathing was getting a little harder, shallow, and all of a sudden I just kind of had a flush of sweatiness. Just all of a sudden got real clammy and sweaty. And that's when I really started to think, well maybe this really is something going on with my heart. So that's when I called for my daughter to come out to talk to me and I let her know I wasn't feeling right, that I felt like I might need to go to the hospital. She's like, call 911. And so I did. So they came in and I remember the EMT started asking me questions, who I was, how I was feeling, and I started to describe to him the pain and what all the symptoms I was feeling. And all of a sudden I just said, my head feels funny. And I said, and my vision. And at that point all I saw it was like this veil, this white cloudy veil just kind of came down and that that was it. The next thing I know is I was just in a bright, bright place and was just overwhelmed with joy and peace and happiness and just looking around at everything or everyone. Just trying to see who all was there. It was a place of comfort. It was like a familiar place. Like I knew people that I loved were there and I was trying to just looking to see what all was there and who all was there. It was just beautiful. It was just so much just no pain, no fear, just peace, comfort, joy. It was just, it was amazing. And why would you want to leave? And I didn't. As I'm doing all that I hear my name called out and I said, no thank you. I'm like, I'm happy here. I'm staying here. I'm enjoying this. I'm not leaving this. Then I heard my name again and I'm like, oh do I have to answer? I said, maybe if I answer they'll let me come back. I answered and the moment I answered to my name it was, it was gone. And back right there with the EMTs no longer in heaven. And they just started letting me know what was going on, what happened, that I had actually had the heart attack. They had to perform CPR and shock my heart to get me back. And he said that it was about two to two and a half minutes that I had been dead, that had no heartbeat. I ended up having a tear in one of my arteries, a very small tear. They gave me some heart medications and said that I should be all right and that it should heal up on its own. And that I was only in the hospital for two days and I was able to go home. I really believe the Lord let me go through this for my daughter so that she can have that reassurance and that and know, know that heaven's real, God's real, Jesus is real. And it's all worth it just to know that whatever you go through on this earth, in this earthly life, as bad and as hard as it is, it's worth it to know Jesus as your Savior and to trust God with all you're going through. There is nothing on this earth that can even give you a comprehension of how amazing and glorious the peace and the joy is up there. The knowledge of knowing that heaven is there waiting on me, on everyone that trusts and believes in Him, it's just amazing. God says that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. That's what Janelle experienced. What an amazing, miraculous story. Dead for two and a half minutes, experienced that inexpressible, really unbelievable peace and joy that is a part of where God is taking us. We're just passing through here, but in the process, He's concerned about us. This for her seemed like it was something that just came upon her unexpectedly. Some of you have experienced an unexpected medical scenario, and some of you have had long scenarios that you've been battling with. Whatever it is, God knows your name. He knows your thoughts. He knows where you are. He knows your needs. And so we want to take some time to pray with you today, inviting God right into the midst of whatever your circumstance might be, inviting His presence, inviting His healing, inviting His peace into that need. I want to share with you, this is Sherry. She shared with us via SharePoint, and she said, I know the agony of having an abscessed tooth. My gums were red. They were swollen. By the time I saw a specialist, my cheek was purple and had a hard knot the size of a Tootsie Roll Pop. I was in great pain. After running errands, I came home and turned on the television. Gordon was praying for, quote, someone having gum and tooth pain on the right side. As soon as he said, God is healing you now, I knew the word was for me. Now there's no pain or swelling, and I'm giving God all the glory. Hallelujah. Here's Anthony from Colorado, had an extremely painful neuropathy in his right foot. One day he heard Terry describe his exact condition. Terry said, God is healing that for you right now, from the top of your head to the bottom of your toes. Well, Anthony claimed this healing is now pain-free. He can even go jogging again. You go, Anthony. Let Janelle's story encourage you that, yes, there is an eternal destiny for each one of us. That destiny, what God wants and what he intends is for you to be with him for all eternity. In order to achieve that, all you have to do is receive the sacrifice that Jesus made for you. If you believe in your heart that Jesus died for you, that he rose again on the third day, if you believe these things and confess it with your mouth, then you shall be saved. But right near, right now, we don't have to sit and wait for the sweet bye and bye after we're dead. Jesus says in the Lord's prayer, we have the ability to ask God for his will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Isn't that wonderful? We get to bring heaven down. We're the ambassadors of heaven. We're the forerunner of it. We're the earnest deposit for what he has for us in the future. We can have all of that right now in this present age, in this broken, fallen world. We can have it. That is good news. So let's do that. Whatever your need is, God is the answer to every human need. In heaven, there's nobody poor. In heaven, there's nobody homeless. He's made a place for us. In heaven, there's nobody sick. There's no tears in heaven. There's no pain in heaven. All of these things are available to us now. We can see his will in heaven, and we can say, I want that right here and now in my body. So in an act of faith, lay your hand on that area of the body that needs healing. Terry and I will agree, the Bible says, when two or more agree touching anything, it shall be done for them by my Father in heaven. This is the promise of Jesus. So Terry and I will be your two or more. You touch, we'll agree, and God will do what he promised to do. Lord God Almighty, we come to you, and we just declare the victory of the cross, that by your stripes we are healed, by your blood we are forgiven, and we get to be your ambassadors, the wonderful ambassadors to announce the kingdom of heaven is drawing near to you right now. So Lord, may heaven come and touch these bodies now. May you invade and restore and heal now in Jesus' name. May your will be done in their bodies now, for we ask it in Jesus' name. Terry, God's given you something. There's someone, you have a really lingering sinus issue. There's almost like a buzzing in your head between your sinuses and your ears. God's beginning the healing process for that. It's just going to slowly dissipate and go away. Someone else, you have had cancer that was being treated specifically, and now they found some cells in your spinal fluid, but God's healing you. Right now in Jesus' name, receive that and begin to praise Him. And someone else, you have serious gut issues. Just lay your hand on your stomach and claim that healing for yourself now. There's someone, you've had a fall, and you've injured your right shoulder, and it just hasn't healed properly. God's healing you right now in Jesus' name. Amen. If you've been healed, let us know.
