What's up, dude?
Today, I've got three air fryer chicken wing recipes
for you, and yes, we're gonna make the classic buffalo wings
that you all know and love, but to tell you the truth,
I am even more excited to show you
the other two chicken wing recipes
that definitely deserve more hype,
and they are some of my personal favorites.
Now let's go!
For our first chicken wing recipe,
we are starting out with a real banger
because we are making jerk chicken wings.
These are some of my absolute all-time favorites.
And I'm also excited to share this technique with you
where the marinade doubles as a sauce.
It really is a game changer.
For the marinade, we're starting off
with some regular yellow onion,
just putting it into a food processor.
Next, I'm adding green onion.
And for the chilies,
I was actually able to find Scotch bonnets today.
I'm just removing that little top piece.
I know sometimes these are hard to find,
so if you can't get them, just use habaneros.
Whole bunch of garlic, some fresh thyme picked off the stem,
lime juice and orange juice, brown sugar,
soy sauce really is the magical ingredient in here,
ground allspice, ground coriander,
ground nutmeg, and ground cinnamon,
and just a little bit of white vinegar.
And that's all she wrote.
Just put the lid on and blend for about a minute.
And that's your marinade done.
Just go ahead and give it a taste.
If you've never had jerk marinade,
it is really, truly an unforgettable sort of experience.
Ooh, sweet, sour, spicy, salty,
all the flavor from those spices.
It truly is one of the best chicken marinades
you can ever make.
Now, before continuing,
I'm gonna dump out about 40% of my marinade,
so almost half, and you'll see why later
we're gonna make that jerk butter sauce with it.
And I'll dump the rest of my marinade
straight onto my chicken wings.
I've got about two and a half
to three pounds of chicken wings here.
Definitely probably do a little more if you want.
And all you wanna do is just give it a really good mix,
smash it down a bit, pop a lid on it,
stick it in the fridge, and let it marinate overnight.
But if you only have a couple hours,
you could definitely do that as well.
The only thing left to do now
is actually air fry these wings using the typher dome.
Most of the time when I'm cooking wings,
I'm usually smoking them outside,
which is really good, but it takes about 40 or 50 minutes.
And with your oven, it can take 14 minutes just to preheat.
With the typher, your wings can literally be done
in that same amount of time.
And at this point, I can say I've used a lot of air fryers,
but what I love most about this thing is space.
Look at the space.
I'm gonna load up all these wings.
I don't know how many can fit, but a lot.
Let's get our wings in.
And all I'll do is press the wings button and hit start.
And while our wings cook,
let's finish our jerk butter sauce
using our reserved marinade.
All I'm gonna do is turn that on to about medium heat.
And all you need to do is let this reduce down
until it's pretty thick and looks just like this,
which only took about five minutes,
at which point I'll turn the heat all the way down to low.
And we're gonna finish with some little cubes
of cold unsalted butter.
And I'll just work it in
like you would with any sort of French sauce.
And that butter just cuts through all the sour ingredients
and balances this out and makes it more of a sauce.
And once all your butter is worked in,
your jerk butter sauce is done.
Do yourself a favor, give it a little taste.
There's just nothing like that out in the world.
Please make this one.
And there we are.
The time has elapsed
and our chicken wings are looking absolutely glorious.
And I'll just get these into a bowl.
I'm not dumping them out from that tray
because there's a lot of juices on the bottom.
I don't want them on the wings.
I'm honestly really impressed like it can be this fast.
Now I'll just dump on a little bit of my jerk butter sauce.
You know what?
Doing it all.
Definitely too much.
If you wanna save some, you can.
And we'll just go ahead and toss this up.
All right, all that's left to do now
is give these a taste with Marcus.
Probably too hot, but we're gonna eat them anyway.
That's quite the experience.
Ooh!
Do they have slightly more sauce
than you would give to a stranger?
Maybe.
But we like it so, it's so good.
Sweet, sour, spicy, salty.
These are definitely the kind of flavors
and wings you remember.
You know, you'll wanna make them again.
They're so good.
Pizza places should all have a jerk chicken flavor.
I think it's time to get on board a little airplane,
Marcus, and take a little flight over to Thailand.
That's the next wing.
Now before we cook our next batch of wings,
let me tell you about the Teiffer Dome Air Fryer,
which is the sponsor of today's video.
Look, everybody loves air fryers.
They heat up fast, they're easy to use,
but the main problem I have with most of them
is the cooking space.
And that's why I was really excited
to see Teiffer create this new Dome Air Fryer,
which has literally doubled the space
of any of the air fryers I've personally used.
The Dome Air Fryer now allows you
to cook larger quantities of food faster and more evenly,
surpassing other air fryers on the market
and really setting a new standard in this cooking category.
And you don't have to be a genius to know
that overcrowding food while you cook it
is the enemy to a good browning,
which is all the flavor you want.
Teiffer Dome combines the functions of an air fryer,
convection oven, toaster, dehydrator, and more,
helping you declutter your kitchen
and replace less advanced devices
with a single efficient unit.
You can simply choose one of the preset cooking options
or choose your heat and time manually.
And if you prefer using your phone,
there is also a Teiffer app available for your convenience.
They also reinvented the airflow
and the circulation of the air fryer,
reducing cooking time by up to 30%.
Another great feature is the Teiffer Dome self-cleaning mode.
So when your air fryer gets greasy and dirty,
all you need to do is click one button in the app
and it will clean the top cavity completely by itself.
I truly love how spacious the Teiffer Dome is,
and I really do believe it's one of the very best
air fryers on the market.
If you've been on the market for a new air fryer,
you can click the link in the description
and use code SUNNYAF10 to save more than $170
off your Teiffer Dome air fryer.
Thank you, Teiffer, for sponsoring this video.
Now let's get back to these wings.
For our second chicken wing recipe,
we are gonna be making Thai chicken wings.
And this recipe features fish sauce,
which a lot of people are intimidated by,
but I guarantee if you try this once,
you're gonna be making them forever.
For the marinade, start with fish sauce,
whole bunch of garlic,
little piece of ginger or galangal,
some lime leaves, but if you can't find this ingredient,
just leave it out, a little bit of sugar,
some yellow Thai curry paste.
I'm just using my ploy.
I'll put a link for that in the description
if you wanna get some, a little bit of lime juice,
a little bit of white vinegar, white pepper,
and my secret ingredient here,
just a little bit of chicken bouillon.
That's just the paste version.
This really brings a lot of good flavor.
Now I'll first start by blending this.
And while that blends,
I'll stream in two tablespoons of avocado oil,
but you could use another neutral oil.
And after a minute of blending,
I'm adding some lemongrass.
If you can't find that ingredient,
again, you can just leave it out.
And we're gonna blend again for another 30 seconds.
And now what I like to do
is just to push this marinade through a little sieve
to get out those pieces of lemongrass.
Because the lemongrass is so hard,
you're really just trying to extract the flavor from it.
Having the pieces in there actually do nothing.
I'll just push this through.
And if you want, you can skip this step,
but what I've noticed is when you cook the wings
with this still inside,
it sort of bakes on like a crust and then falls off
and you sort of get uneven, weird browning.
So I just like to remove it.
Then just simply add in your chicken wings.
Give it a really good mix.
And again, we'll just pop a lid on this
and leave it in the fridge for 12 hours.
Although if you wanna get away with two or three hours,
that's fine too.
Same exact deal with our Thai wings.
We're just gonna lay them out all the way down.
Now let's just slide them in.
And with these,
I'm actually gonna up the temperature a little bit
and give them a few more minutes
because we're going for crispy with these ones.
And away we go.
And there we are after 17 minutes.
And wow, they do look absolutely delicious.
And a lot of times when I try to air fry crispy wings,
I do like to flip them over
and get that other side a little bit.
Cause as you can see,
it hasn't got a lot of love from the heating element,
which is basically on the top.
So I'm just gonna flip these all over like so
and I'll blast them again for another five, six minutes.
Here we go.
And there we go.
That certainly did the trick.
Let's plate these up and give them a taste.
Wing number two.
All right, here we go, Marcus.
I've been making some version of these for like 15 years now.
I tend to change and tweak the recipe
depending on how I'm feeling, but let's see.
Man, fish sauce and chicken meant to be together forever.
There's no salt in this recipe
if you've never tried fish sauce.
It's extremely salty.
So you get all the salt from that.
I don't know, it's just so good with chicken.
If you just handed these to somebody,
they wouldn't know.
This is a flavorful wing.
Not fishy.
These are really good.
Don't be scared.
It might smell like some good things stink a little.
You know?
Yeah.
New York City stinks.
Amazing city.
All right, time to hop on a boat
and row back to on down America.
Oh, rope.
I'm gonna go down, get down there in the sound,
give me some buffalo ting-a-ling.
Yeah, Buffalo's in New York.
So I don't know what that ring-a-ding voice is.
All right, we're gonna go down to Buffalo, New York
and get some-
Classic Buffalo guy.
What do Buffalo guys sound like?
Let's go, Buffalo!
No, that's not a Buffalo.
That's not a Buffalo.
For our third and final chicken wing,
we are going all American with some classic Buffalo wings.
You really can't go wrong with these.
I'm gonna start with a little bit of oil
and then I'm adding the three amigo of spices here,
smoked paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder.
A little bit of salt
and some Sergeant Gilbert reporting for duty,
which is just black pepper.
And all we're gonna do is sort of mix this
into a little sludgy paste
and just drop your wings straight in there.
And you know the deal, just give them a good mix.
And if you get the right amount of oil to spices,
you'll just see how easy it sticks to the wings
and distributes nice and evenly.
All we gotta do now is line them up in the dome
and in we go.
And these ones all do 380, about 17 minutes.
And while the wings cook, we can make the buffalo sauce.
It is incredibly easy.
We're starting with our hot sauce.
You could use Frank's or another one.
And once it comes up to temp,
I like to add a little bit of honey,
a little touch of garlic powder, some black pepper.
I whisk that in,
then reduce the heat all the way down to low
and start adding little cubes of cold unsalted butter.
Just make sure you keep that heat low and work it in.
And once that first batch of butter almost disappears,
then we add more.
Just do it in about three or four stages
until you've got it all in the sauce.
And there you have it, my friends.
That is perfect buffalo sauce done in less than five minutes.
Now, how much butter you put is up to you,
but I think the recipe I have posted in the description
really gets the best of both worlds.
There's something so gross
and yet so delicious about buffalo sauce.
I don't know what it is, but it keeps me coming back.
After 17 minutes, my wings were done
and I didn't flip for these ones
since they're going into a wet sauce,
which will be your next step
to give them a simple toss in that buffalo sauce
and they're good to go.
Now, before diving into these,
it's kind of a sin to eat buffalo wings
without like blue cheese or ranch.
And I don't have any,
but I do have an amazing recipe for you.
It is just down in the description.
All you need to do is blend it all up
and a food processor, done.
It's as simple as that.
If you have time, let it chill in the fridge for an hour.
It'll get a little thicker.
Here we go.
Here we go, my.
That's pretty perfect.
I don't think I've ever once not eaten these
with blue cheese.
These are awesome.
I wouldn't change a thing about these.
They're just right.
If you have a wing craving, you can make them at home.
And the nice thing about these
is you don't even need to let them sit
in the spices and marinate.
You can if you want,
but you can put the spices straight on, boom,
cook them in 20 minutes, make the sauce, done.
Really easy.
And that's it, my friends.
I really hope that you'll try at least one
of these chicken wing recipes.
Report back in the comments and let us know how it goes.
You heard the man.
Thanks for watching today, my friend.
And if you're keen to keep this session going,
here are two more of my personal favorite chicken recipes
from my channel.
This chicken tikka masala, absolutely mind-blowing.
And this coq au vin is one of the best French dishes
of all time.
Until next time, you know I love you in my.
