Chelsea have won six home games in the Premier League this season,
none of them against any team currently in the top seven.
Manchester United unbeaten in their last seven games against tonight's opponent,
including winning at Old Trafford in December when these sides last met.
But in the Premier League era, Manchester United have only once completed
a home and away double against Chelsea in the same season.
Manchester United, who allowed Brentford a lot of shots on the weekend,
can they afford to allow Chelsea those opportunities tonight?
Let's have a look at how the teams line up this evening in West London.
Maurizio Pochettino naming an unchanged starting XI.
This is the same team that started the draw against Burnley here on Saturday.
Jordi Petrovic makes his 14th Premier League appearance
since taking over from Robert Sanchez.
The Serb is behind a defence that does include Malo Gusto.
The Frenchman had been a doubt after limping off with an injury at the weekend.
Marc Cucure has only Premier League goal in his career,
came against Manchester United two seasons ago.
Moises Cosseno starting 19th game in a row in midfield,
once again alongside Enzo Fernandes.
The key man for Chelsea this season has been Cole Palmer.
He keeps getting better and better, four goals in his last three games.
On the other side, Mikhailo Mudrik has found some good form in recent weeks too.
Nicholas Jackson leads the attack,
he has scored in two of Chelsea's last three Premier League games.
Amongst the replacements, Finnish midfielder Djimi Darinin,
who made his first senior appearance in the FA Cup win over Leeds,
and is hoping to make his Premier League debut tonight.
Eric Ten Hag's side looked below par at Brentford on Saturday.
The Manchester United manager makes three alterations to his starting team this evening.
Andre Onana, the only Manchester United player to start every league game this campaign.
There is a change in the height of the defence tonight.
Harry Maguire returns to the team.
He's in place of the injured Viktor Lindelof,
who's not made the matchday squad for this one.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka continues at left back.
Kobi Meinu plays in his 19th game in a row in all competitions,
alongside Casemiro.
The Brazilian has scored in each of his last two appearances against Chelsea.
Big night for Anthony, you feel.
Yet to complete a full 90 minutes of the Premier League,
but he's given a start here.
Marcus Rashford drops to the bench.
Rasmus Hoyland is in good form.
He's got seven goals in his last seven Premier League games.
There's a lot of experience tonight on the Manchester United bench,
and there's the return of Amad Diallo.
He has served his suspension for taking off his shirt,
celebrating that winning goal against Liverpool in the cup.
Chelsea's form has really stabilised in recent months.
They've only lost one of their last 15 home games since the start of November.
11 wins here in that time,
this evening a chance for Pochettino's team to show
if that curve of improvement is real.
Badia Scheel, who continues to partner Di Sassi in the heart of the defence.
Thiago Silva is on the bench again.
Now substitutes with a fifth match in a row,
and he hasn't come on in any of the last four.
This is Bruno Fernandes,
who missed an early penalty the last time these sides met.
Anthony, who has started on his favoured right-hand side,
won the sacker.
Anthony! Good block by Moises Quesada.
But Manchester United into the Chelsea penalty area inside 45 seconds.
Yeah, right from the get-go, nice run from Anthony.
Now it's Chelsea's turn again on the front foot.
Cole Palmer, what a season he's had.
Gallagher trying to return it to Palmer.
Hooked away by Kobe Bane,
a direct start to this game for both teams tonight.
There's a frustration around here that Chelsea weren't able to see off Burnley at the weekend.
And it shows an even more determined mindset to get the job done here this evening.
Garnaccio.
Rolls into Di Sassi,
and Petrovic stretches to keep the ball in play.
Kobe Bane's pass was behind Garnaccio,
Kusta wasn't able to take advantage of it,
but he does get on to Enzo Fernandes' pass here.
A little touch off for Chelsea!
Their premier league goal of the season.
Huge roll at Stamford Bridge,
as Chelsea take the early lead.
Typically aggressive run and position,
the Malagusto down Chelsea's right-hand side takes up.
Look at him, right at the very top of the screen.
Just drops inside here,
and again, he's on the move, he's on the run.
When he gets here, he's looking for that cutback.
It's a little bit of good fortune, it comes off the heel.
Just there of Rafa Baran.
Conor Gallagher around the penalty spot is waiting,
and then when you're watching it and waiting for it,
you've just got to get over the top of it.
Goes with the side foot.
Often there you see players going with the laces,
this time Conor Gallagher just makes sure he puts something hefty
with his side foot on that ball,
and it finds its way through the legs of Casemiro and beyond Onana.
Onana did get a glob on it,
but he didn't have a stiff enough arm to make the save.
Big moment for Conor Gallagher.
Chelsea won't be taking anything for granted here,
we've seen many times this season.
Pochettino's side get a good start,
but let it slip between their fingers.
Mudrick here for Kukure,
Anthony had to be careful,
and he wasn't careful enough.
Penalty to Chelsea.
And an opportunity to double their lead.
It's the wrong side,
and Anthony there has tried to go stride for stride with Kukure,
but he is the wrong side,
and you cannot, dare not,
nibble at that ball in that situation, let's see.
I mean, he makes a bit of contact with his knee,
no doubt about that,
because he just has a little bit of a nibble at it.
Let's have a look again.
Tell you what, Kukure drags the leg,
no doubt about that,
he's waiting for the contact,
but I think it's going to be given,
I really do.
I don't think you're going to get away with that one,
there's a little bit of contact.
Chelsea scored a penalty against Manchester United the last time
that United came here to Stamford Bridge.
Jorginho now of Arsenal scored it.
Here, Cole Palmer,
who has been so confident from the penalty spot
in Chelsea Blue,
he steps up again.
Penalty confirmed.
That's where he's gotten his last five penalties,
you'll see number five there in the middle,
cheeky little Peninka,
at the weekend against Burnley.
Andre Onana,
who has conceded all Premier League penalties he's faced so far,
and he concedes this one.
Chelsea are away to the races,
they are up and galloping,
a two-goal lead inside 20 minutes.
And that has really put a positive spin on the night
for those here supporting in blue.
Big goal that for Chelsea.
I tell you what, no better man than Cole Palmer
in a blue shirt to step up and take it,
we saw from those penalties that he's had already,
there's good variation with what he does from the spot.
And Onana goes the wrong way,
he tucks it beautifully in the corner,
and that's a very healthy start to this game
after 20 minutes for the home side.
He has now scored in six Premier League home games
in a row, Cole Palmer.
Oh, mistake by Moises Cassino,
and Alejandro Garnacho is in,
and he takes the opportunity!
That is massive from Manchester United!
Against the run of play,
the mistake by Cassino.
The record transfer fee paid for the Ecuadorian,
but he's landed his team in it there.
And Garnacho was only delighted to oblige
in halving Chelsea's lead.
Just lost his concentration, Cassino.
Bad issue, was kind of stopped,
expecting the midfielder to go back to the goalkeeper.
And he rolls a square ball,
and the centre-half is on his heels rather than on his toes,
but what a great finish that is.
What an important goal from Garnacho.
Yes, he pounces on a mistake,
but then you've got to finish it,
you've got to travel 20, 30-odd yards with the ball,
and slot it, and he does that brilliantly
to get United right back in it, out of nothing.
Despair for Cassino.
Delivery by Modric, Maguire missed it,
Di Cissi wasn't able to react.
Good distribution from Onana
to pick up Bruno Fernandes.
Now Anthony.
There seems to be some redemption for the Brazilian
after giving away the penalty earlier.
Garnacho.
Dalot.
Good ball.
Hoyland leaves it.
Bruno Fernandes!
And it's a familiar sinking feeling for Chelsea.
They've blown another lead.
From 2-0 up, it's back to 2-2.
Brilliant goal.
That really is an excellent goal.
Chelsea leaders just vanished.
In a flash, it really has, but...
It's a really well-controlled header.
You see Onana immediately just rolling that one out to Bruno,
the lovely switch here from Anthony out to Garnacho.
They've got the 2-on-1, him and Dalot against Cucaracha.
They use that, drops it back, now look for a post.
Bruno arriving, can you find me?
Not many.
Absolutely on the button, right on a sixpence.
It's a really good goal.
Just over four and a half minutes
between Garnacho making it 2-1
and Bruno Fernandes making it 2-2.
That's that classic header at the back post,
go back across the goal.
As the goalkeeper is scampering towards that left-hand post,
go back across the goal.
And Mauricio Pochettino seeing that great start
just evaporate in seconds.
Chelsea not looking anywhere near as comfortable
as they did earlier on in the game.
Hammer, play on.
Enzo Fernandes is the Chelsea player who went down.
Gallagher screaming for a short here.
This is Conor Gallagher!
Post!
Chelsea within millimetres of regaining the lead
in this pulsating first half at Stafford Bridge.
That shot was really well hit from Conor Gallagher.
Very, very unlucky.
He got two goals against his old team, Crystal Palace,
in February, Conor Gallagher.
Before tonight, that was the only Premier League game
he'd scored in this season.
He might well have had two in this first half already.
There's the whistle for the break.
Gallagher who sent Chelsea on their way.
A blitzing start from Mauricio Pochettino's team.
So, Cole Palmer, cool as you like for the penalty spot,
make it 2-0 inside 20 minutes.
But then the turnaround, a mistake by Moises Quesado,
pounced upon by Alejandro Garnacho,
and then Manchester United found their groove.
Bruno Fernandes has sent them in,
all square at half-time, Chelsea 2, Manchester United 2.
No surprise to see Johnny Evans introduced
for the struggling Raphael Varane.
It'll be Evans alongside Harry Maguire
at the heart of the Manchester United defence
for this second period.
Chelsea who start to the first half so well and so quickly.
Gallagher's opener this evening,
the earliest goal that Chelsea have scored
in all competitions this season.
Can they get off to a good start to this second half now?
Or will Manchester United continue to grow and grow in the game?
I mentioned about which team can wrestle control,
can kind of boss things, it hasn't happened again with these two.
Neither team really been able to do that,
which has made it a really good watch.
Casemiro lumps it over the top,
and it carries through to Jordi Petrovic.
It's a seed towards Palmer,
but very well anticipated by Diogo Dalot.
Garnacho.
Dalot gets it through to Bruno Fernandes,
and it comes off Hoyland.
And there are some Manchester United appeals
that there could be a handball here.
VAR will have a look at the background.
Casemiro.
Hoyland nearly came off Garnacho,
down goes Hoyland again.
Less of a big roar for a penalty for the second one.
VAR has already checked and cleared the first one.
Here's Harry Maguire.
And it was a storming surge into the penalty area.
He's claiming it hit the goalkeeper on the way through.
Jared Gillett says, no corner.
Good run from Harry Maguire.
No, didn't see a touch there from Malagusto,
but a couple of calls there, big calls, weren't they?
First one was this one.
No, that's on Badia's shield shoulder.
Just, you know, evidence of the fraught nature of events here.
Keeping it all polite,
but there is no doubt there is friction
between this is Pochettino and Tanah.
Di Sassi.
Enzo Fernandez.
You could see the idea, he wanted to scope.
Too tight for that there.
Get off the yard and get your shot away.
That's what Enzo should be doing.
Look at this.
Lightning fast from Manchester United again.
Hoyland to Bruno Fernandez.
It just seemed to bubble in front of him.
A stare to the heavens from Bruno Fernandez.
He knows that was an enormous chance.
It's a great situation here.
Brilliant play again from United.
Four on two here.
Eventually rolls to Bruno.
On his left foot, it's just sat up.
Invitingly to hit.
It's a poor strike.
It's a very good ball.
Gallo to Enzo.
Now Palmer.
Oh, no.
I wouldn't say Palmer gave him the eyes there.
Tried to deceive the goalkeeper,
but Onana kept his eye on the ball.
Yeah, he ended up hitting it
actually straight down the middle, didn't he?
A bit cold Palmer there.
Malaugusta making that run.
That just gives him that little yard in front of Diogo Dalot.
Decent save. Acrobatic.
Marcus Rashford comes on for Rasmus Hoyland.
Sheva calls in his last seven Premier League games before tonight.
He'd won a very good surge in his second half.
And look at this.
It is Johnny Evans,
who's only lasted 20 minutes on the pitch
before the necessity of being replaced.
Kampwala will join Wan-Bissaka, Maguire and Dalot
as the Manchester United back four now.
Rashford involved for the first time.
Releasing Anthony.
What a ball.
Garnaccio!
That is a quite brilliant goal
from Manchester United.
From one end to the other
in a sweeping move.
Alejandro Garnaccio finishes
his second goal of the game.
And what about this?
From two goals down tonight,
Manchester United turn it around
to lead 3-2.
Well played, Anthony.
Brilliant work from him.
Outside of the left boot.
Immediately looks up and sees Garnaccio.
And he's really clever, the young man in the box.
Because he knows he hasn't got time to wait
at the drop onto his foot.
He's got to just put his head on it.
And he does it brilliantly.
Chelsea again, a mistake from Badia Scheele.
Poor control.
But this ball, look at this outside of the left boot.
That is beautifully done.
Petrovic doesn't know whether to stick or twist.
He does neither.
And Garnaccio cleverly gets there
as that ball's rising.
Puts his head on it.
And knocks it in the back of the net
for a brilliant turnaround.
Fair play to United.
They were nowhere, invisible for 20 minutes.
And now they have a lead.
That's brilliant stuff.
Another brace for Alejandro Garnaccio.
Got two goals against West Ham in February.
Got two against Aston Villa in December.
Manchester United,
new shareholder.
Jim Ratcliffe sitting alongside Peter Schmeichel,
looking on.
He'd have been worried after 20 minutes.
He'll be feeling a lot better about things now.
Approaching last-chance saloon for Chelsea.
Medwineke.
Beyond Dalot.
Dalot tries to recover.
Oh, it's so similar to the Manchester City game
when Chelsea fought back for a late penalty
to secure a draw.
Has Diogo Dalot
denied his teammates a win away from home here?
Manchester United were almost there.
But in this game, which has continued to spring surprises,
there's been a late one in the can.
It's clumsy.
It's clumsy from Diogo Dalot.
What I would say in his defence,
somebody else get out in behind him once.
Medwineke sets him up and goes past him.
Where's the next red shirt?
Too big a gap.
Diogo Dalot has panicked a little bit there
and he's just caught the back of Medwineke's heels.
There's a lot riding on this for both clubs.
Clip of feet.
That was it in real time.
Again, another challenge from the wrong side.
It stands.
The penalty stands.
Manchester United have one last enormous piece of work to do
if they're to hold on to a 3-2 lead here.
They need Andre Onana to come up with something special.
Remember, he saved a key late penalty
against Copenhagen in the Champions League in October.
He's already been beaten from the spot by Cole Palmer tonight.
What late drama.
At the end of a thoroughly exciting game,
the outcome is going to be decided here.
He wouldn't dink it again, would he?
Would he dare?
Panenka at the weekend.
Up against Onana.
Cole Palmer...
makes the sensible option
and surely salvages a point for Chelsea,
who refuse to give up,
having thrown away a two-goal lead,
having been slumped to a 3-2 deficit.
Manchester United could not hang on
and Chelsea have come back from the dead here again.
Great pen.
Similar result to the one he took in the first half.
Emphatically dispatched.
18 goals now for Chelsea, for Cole Palmer.
Let's see if Pochettino's key man,
maybe it's not over yet.
Madhuike!
Jackson!
They're queuing up here!
Raheem Sterling!
Oh, too many touches
and he couldn't pick out Madhuike.
Oh, it deflected for Karni Chukwemeka.
Manchester United can't believe what's happening here.
Can't believe Chelsea didn't get that initial shot away better than that.
What a chance that was.
2-1 in the dying seconds.
Didn't make the most of it.
No-one marking Palmer again.
It's deflected in!
Patrick Herro!
Sensational game!
Seven goals!
Can you believe what you've just seen?
Manchester United,
with seven minutes of stoppage time played,
with 3-2 up,
and suddenly 4-3 to Chelsea!
Where are the red shirts?
Where are the red shirts when they take that corner?
They've all turned their back,
but no-one's anywhere to be seen.
Bruno Fernandes is around the referee,
I don't know what he's saying,
but I cannot believe what I've just seen there.
They nearly got done,
seconds before,
with a counter-attack.
There's a card being shown to somebody on the bench.
But unbelievably, look!
Head out to the ball, sprint!
They don't do that,
and if you let someone shoot,
someone like Cole Palmer,
with that left foot,
well, you always run the risk of this happening.
And it's hit Scott McTominay,
and flashed past his goalie.
Oh, incredible.
Four days after Easter Sunday,
Chelsea have risen from the tomb.
Look what it means to Mauricio Pochettino.
The boy wonder has done it again.
Chelsea's Cole Palmer.
But I don't think there is any question
who the Chelsea player of the season is going to be.
Oh, no.
I mean, he can have that now.
And a whistle blows.
Well, they don't do it the easy way, do they?
But Chelsea somehow found a way
to get the three points tonight
in this rollercoaster of a game.
The emotions, the goals,
the drama,
from 2-0 up to 3-2 down.
A team who never accepts they're beaten,
and they kept going right until the very, very end.
How does Eric ten Hag explain this, though?
A result that should have been put to bed,
but Cole Palmer had other ideas.
A sensational game of football.
The Premier League at its unpredictable best.
The joy of Chelsea matched by the tears for Manchester United.
A seven-goal, stone-cold thriller.
Chelsea 4, Manchester United 3.
The Premier League at its unpredictable best.
