Mary hi guys and welcome back to my
channel if you are new welcome my name
is Hanah and on this channel we talk all
things home decor home Aesthetics mixing
high and low with no old and in today's
video it is my first part one Christmas
decorate with me for the year 2024 so if
this is something you are interested in
watching just keep on watching if you
guys are just clicking on this video
Welcome I take a very different approach
when it comes to decorating for the
holiday season if you are looking for
something that's super traditional that
screams Christmas you know your
traditional red and white or red and
green this is not going to be the video
for you so the color palette that I
chose to go for for this year's holiday
Decor is kind of autumn colors burgundy
red mustard yellow copper orange and
then a hint of stage so I really wanted
to embody this like fall tones utilizing
things from previous years while still
incorporating a few new things in order
for this year to feel different from
last so I'm honestly so happy with how
this turned out I had an idea of what I
wanted to do and I really wasn't quite
sure if it was going to come full circle
if it you know if it was going to turn
out how I envisioned it to and honestly
probably turned out better than I
anticipated I have to say this is my
favorite year thus far and I know I said
that last year but I feel like every
year I'm just gradually getting better
I'm gradually evolving in my home decor
I'm evolving in my decorating skills and
I have to say I just really really love
this year so I'm super excited to share
it with you guys hopefully inspire you
for your own homes if you are interested
in where something is from I will do my
best to link everything down below in
the description box but I'm going to
stop rambling I hope you guys enjoy my
deck right with me let's get to it we
are going to start with my fireplace
mantle bringing in these command cord
bundlers now I picked these up last year
and these work really well for styling a
mantle I've done hooks in the past and
they just don't stick well to this wood
so I love these for decorating my
fireplace now I'm bringing in two
different types of starter these are
Garland of different breeds and I think
the more that you guys can bring to your
fireplace mantle as far as breeds goes
textures the more interesting it's going
to look and that's exactly what I really
wanted to do for this look so you guys
will see I bring in two garlands and I
think the biggest takeaways you have to
intertwine them you have to almost braid
them together make twist them apart
intertwine the stems together so that
way Everything feels cohesive and that
way it doesn't feel like you just placed
two different garlands on top of each
other and that even goes with bringing
in different stems as well so this is
just what works well for me I love the
way this looks bringing in different
colors and different breeds of of stems
so like I mentioned I'm bringing in
about 10 different fillers for this
garlic I really wanted this mantle to
have a wow factor and I think the more
that I added the just more Grand and wow
that it became so I bring in Norfolk and
a lot of these stems are from Hobby
Lobby I really wanted to embrace that
fall color in this mantle look so we
brought in that fall tone we brought in
a ton of different textures from berries
to thistle to Norfolk to Cedar you guys
will see I really I really do a lot
within this mantle I have it be a little
bit more Grand on the corners and a
little bit more less in the center so
you guys will have to let me know what
you guys think of my mantle this is
probably my favorite look I've ever done
I know it's different and I know it's
not traditional but I kind of like it
that way so you guys will have to let me
know

moving on to stockings and stocking
accessories starting with these
cascading bells and then I just tied a
really fun Sage ribbon to that that
ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and I'm just
adding those bells the ribbon and our
names tags to each stocking now our
stockings are a little bit on the warmer
side so I thought bringing in that Sage
ribbon would be a really fun color
combination to just kind of break up all
the warmth and I think it's really fun
and really pretty and very different I
also have a mixture of different
textures here and then adding in a
pattern which is the hounds tooth
stocking that I purchased from AO and I
just really love how this whole stocking
and mantle look turned out

moving on to my Christmas tree I had to
remove all of our pre-existing Furniture
this chair and side table and floor lamp
is all going to be going to the opposing
Corner we're going to be removing that
big Olive Tree and placing in a
different room for the time being but
just have to get things prepped in order
to bring in our Christmas tree

moving over to my Christmas tree this is
my second Boston Hill tree that I own I
was a real tree person for about 30
years of my life and finally did the
plunge 2 years ago and honestly balam
Hill is such an incredible company this
is not sponsored but they do make really
great trees they are an investment but
this is a tree these are trees that will
last you a lifetime you will not have to
replace them ever and I've been
incredibly happy with their product for
the last 2 years and so this is a tree
that I got last year from them it's
really Grand it's very big very
realistic it's got a kind of larger
bottom and then tear up uh obviously the
fluff process is a process so this took
me about 40 minutes to do each layer
which I highly recommend doing each
layer as you put it on fluffing I didn't
realize that when I first got the faux
tree I put the whole thing together and
then would fluff and then it was just
such a pain so definitely fluff as you
go as a as a faux tree tip for you guys
and so here we are just assembling
everything everything clicks into place
and it just looks so pretty once it is
all lit
[Music]
starting with my Garland I picked this
up last year this is the Paulina wood
Garland I wanted to put this on my tree
last year but I didn't end up doing it I
used it more for a bowl filler so I
figured this year let's put it on the
actual tree itself and I just really
think this is a great way to add that
organic touch it's got that Christmas
feel because it is gold but I really did
love this on my tree this year now I am
just bringing in a variety of different
ornaments a lot of these I own from last
year so I'm trying to be creative and
utilize things that I already own while
still incorporating some new ornaments
like this fun galvanized one that I got
on Amazon The Hobby Lobby ones that I
had from last year and a few other ones
that I purchased at homegood so again
just trying to utilize things I already
own trying to make things feel different
but also having some new items to make
it feel fresh as well

I really wanted to bring in texture to
this tree so I ended up going to Hobby
Lobby and I grabbed some of their fall
stems these are a really beautiful
mustard and then these are kind of a
burnt orange exactly the colors that I
was trying to exuded this year and so I
picked these up they were on like 50%
off clearance so it ended up working out
really well and I just removed the tags
removed some of the stems on the orange
ones I ended up cutting down the mustard
yellow ones and I just ended up putting
these as a little pick inside the tree
again for a little bit of texture a
little bit of more of that color that
Autumn feel and it turned out so
[Music]
good as I was looking at my tree it felt
like it needed a little bit more of that
burgundy red color it was reading a lot
of the sage and orange and yellow so I
ended up bringing these from previous
years I had these already on hand
they're really fun traditional paper
ornament and then I also had a few more
red colored ornaments that I wanted to
incorporate and I think bringing in just
a hair bit more of that red really did
tie all of the color scheme together and
I'm very happy with how it turned out
[Music]
shifting gears over to my coffee table
and Decor we're going to bring in two
different coffee table books this is
Wild Horses of Cumberland and American
Cowboys I'm then adding the balsom and
Cedar candles this is by the company
alum in the large size and small size
with my Wick trimmers for Magnolia next
element I'm adding is this beautiful mck
and Co bookst with a coffee table book
and then to kind of bring in that
holiday feel I thought adding a ribbon
draping almost as if it was a bookmark
was a fun and kind of creative way and
next to that I'm adding a vase that I
purchased from Target about 4 years ago
with two different stem the Norfolk and
a thistle from HomeGoods two more coffee
table books next to that with a gorgeous
onx dish one of my favorite purchases
that I've done thus far this year and
then I'm just bringing in those
preserved oranges which you guys would
have recognized from my home decor
Christmas Haul and the last Decor
element is a vintage dough bowl that I
got from an antique shop and then I'm
just placing a variety of my vintage
Bells within it usually I would do a
Greenery or some sort of filler like a
moss that I've done in the past but I
thought just having the Bells by
themselves just to be on showcase was a
little bit different and something that
I thought was different for me and a
little bit more fun
[Music]
heading over to the little corner next
to my fireplace mantle I'm bringing in a
coffee table book in this fun bowl of
dried thistle I did utilize these for my
fall Decor but I definitely think they
could be used for winter as well and
then I just have this little iron deer
that I have right next to it bringing in
my checkered throw and some fun Tex
stles to my sofa I one that really
enjoys mixing patterns and color I know
it is not for everybody I know for some
people it might be over stimulating it
might be too busy but I really enjoy
just having fun on my couch I have fun
mixing things and kind of getting
creative with different pillow
combinations and again although this
does not read very Christmas I do love
having things have a longer shelf life
pillow covers that will last me longer
things that I can use year round and so
this is the final look for my living
room space
[Music]
