Eyes up!
Normal recruitment training is 70 days, so...
Three days.
Maybe it will be the worst three days of our lives, but we can do this.
What I expect to get from this challenge is the experience.
And the experience is something that right now is a very unknown thing.
I'm expecting... I'm expecting to be pushed to my limit.
I'm expecting to be extremely uncomfortable.
I'm expecting to be in some pain.
I don't think this guy's even somewhat prepared for this.
You know, I'm chilling.
Drink water.
I might be taking... I actually, yeah, I'm taking this too lightly, aren't I?
Yeah, yeah, I didn't prepare at all.
All of you, look at me now!
Get on my bus!
Scream, I said!
I said!
You are now a board of Marine Corps of the Coup De Foe PSL of South Carolina.
Feel strength and look at me!
My name is Staff Sergeant Tree.
And I am your senior trainer sergeant.
Aye, sir!
Aye, sir.
Who's the one that left a water bottle?
All of you, get your water bottles and put it up high in the sky.
Five, four, three, two, one.
Who doesn't have a water bottle?
I don't.
Get out!
And get off the bus!
Scream, I'm out!
I'm out.
Get out!
Get out right now!
No!
Heat up, heat up, heat up.
Now we both lost, right?
I am.
Get your little buddy and you're going to find me all around.
So day one is over and it was extremely intense.
It started like that.
It didn't start when we went in the building.
It started on the bus.
This is the craziest experience I've ever had in my life.
I learned that I'm not as in shape as I wish I was.
Oh, well, I didn't want to quit because I'm not a quitter.
Are you coming back for day two?
Probably not.
Your next exercise will be mind control.
Aye, ma'am.
You alright?
Yes, ma'am.
I'm sorry.
I'm so sorry.
You're good.
Alright.
Now, hand over hand.
Hand over hand.
That's something I wouldn't have pushed myself to do.
Like, how is a harness made of rope and another rope supposed to fit me?
I am pretty beat to a pulp right now.
Mentally, I was all in.
I pushed as hard as I could, but my body was just giving out left and right.
I don't know.
I realized I'm a bit stronger than I thought I was today.
My body feels horrible right now.
I feel exhausted and we have one more day to go.
But I know tomorrow I'm going to show up and I know I'm going to do it.
We successfully completed the Battles 1 boot camp.
We did it.
I'm proud of you guys.
I'm proud of you.
I'm proud of us.
It's so easy to say how much I loved it now that it's over.
I think going into this I thought it was just going to be a lot of physical activity and people yelling at us.
But everything we did had a really practical application.
I think all of it is teaching Marines how to win battles in all sorts of ways.
Down to the speed in which you can button your jacket.
Because that could literally mean life or death.
After this experience, my respect for military has, gosh, it's gone way up.
I'll never look at a Marine the same way.
Thank you to the Marine Corps for defending our country every day.
That's crazy.
That is an amazing feat.
And thanks for having us.
Thank you guys.
And letting us have a small, small, very small taste of what it's like to be put in those high pressure situations.
Thank you so much to the USMC for having us here, letting us be a part of this.
The Battles 1 boot camp was an experience that I will never, ever forget.
Battles 1 boot camp.
Hoorah!
