"Off Grid in the Adirondacks 🍁 Autumn Foliage Hunting"

It was October and the leaves were changing pretty good around our home in southern New England.
The road was calling and as an autumn documentarian
I was dying to see what the foliage was like in new places.
So we loaded up my old blue truck and headed northwest just outside the technical boundaries
of New England to a place I haven't had the opportunity to explore much in the fall season.
And on the way out we got stalled on our favorite local roads as they were in full swing.
We talked about how we couldn't wait to get up north but that it was crazy to rush there
when all this beauty was right in front of us.
The foliage on the way up was spotty. Some areas looked good and some were still green.
We had no clue if the area we chose would have good color
and since we would be arriving in the dark we wouldn't know till morning.
It's so nice! It was an off-grid Riverside A-frame in the Adirondack Mountains
and we had a couple days of staying here and exploring the surrounding area before heading east
to another spot. I'll put the link to the Airbnb in the description and I gotta say I've stayed
at a lot of unique cabins and this one ranks very high. And that first morning was a cotton candy
dream where we found out we had hit the foliage on the nose. We started the day with one of my
coffee blends and if you'd like to try them they're always available at the link in the
video descriptions or on troutandcoffee.com. They're fair trade organic and air roasted
for smooth clean energy. I have all kinds of blends but my fall blends will only be available
for a little longer. I think they're Gansers. I have a trash. Tiny trash.
And after a beautiful morning on the river we headed into the nearby town for lunch
before going on a little adventure.
We got the fire ready to cook the steak we got from the local butcher
and listened to the geese as the world turned blue. And it was on our final morning
when I walked to try a few casts and the golden light shone my breath in the air
that I felt that pinnacle autumn feeling. Reflection, gratefulness, and peace.
