Have you ever heard or been told something like this?
Maybe you're a good person in your past life,
that's why you're blessed now and what happened to you is good.
Or maybe you're a bad person in your past life,
that's why you're having a hard time in your life.
And this is where the talk about reincarnation comes in.
Hinduism and Buddhism are the pioneers of the belief in reincarnation.
In Hinduism, the belief in reincarnation is a fundamental part of their doctrine.
According to their beliefs,
each of them goes through an endless cycle of life, death, and reincarnation.
This is called samsara.
The kind of life that is precious and honored by an individual in his current life is the result of karma,
or the effect of his actions and decisions from past lives.
Good karma leads to a higher kind of life,
while bad karma can lead to a lower kind or path.
Through the arrangement of karma,
Hindus hope that they will attain moksha,
which means freedom from the cycle of samsara,
and return to God or ultimate reality.
For Hinduism, the concept of reincarnation gives importance to morality,
spiritual development,
and the distance of salvation from the cycles of life and death.
Like Buddhism,
according to their view,
reincarnation is an endless cycle of life.
The soul and the divine consciousness remain alive even after death,
and it travels in different directions of life.
If a person shows good behavior and behavior,
it can result in a better condition in his next life.
On the contrary,
bad behavior can lead to a bad experience in reincarnation.
The goal of a Buddhist is to be free from the cycle of samsara and reach nirvana.
Nirvana is the state of complete peace and stability.
If we compare,
this is the difference between the concept of reincarnation of Buddhism and Hinduism.
In Hinduism,
when their conscience is pure,
the prayer is good,
and the level of moksha is in the middle.
When they die,
their soul will go to the God they know.
While in Buddhism,
when they have removed from themselves the attachment and possession of material things,
their soul will leave the process of nirvana when they die.
But reincarnation will occur in Buddhism and Hinduism
until the morality is not yet correct while they are alive.
The belief in reincarnation
is that the soul can join different directions of life,
such as humans, animals, and plants.
This is the same as doing in the past life.
If you were a bad person before,
your soul will go to the animals.
And if your behavior is a little bit good,
you can join the humans again.
But is this reflected in the Bible?
Let's read what is written in the Bible that is related to this.
You shall eat bread till you return to the ground,
for out of it you were taken,
for you are dust,
and to dust you shall return.
Hebrews 9.27
Just as man is destined to die once,
This means that when a man dies,
he will just wait for the judgment from the Lord.
It is clear that reincarnation is not true according to the Bible.
There is no guarantee that man can still live in another form or as an animal.
But the Bible teaches that those who believe in the Lord Jesus
will live forever with Him.
And those who do not know Him will be punished forever.
Reincarnation is just an illusion.
It cannot live again and again to be perfect.
God is the only way to get rid of sins.
