Do you like red wine but you're on a budget?
Great, you came to the right place. So stick around because we are going to go over our favorite red wines under $20.
And most of them are well under that price too.
Hi, I'm Olivia.
And I'm Ken. And we're Wine Therapy.
Before we get started, don't forget to like this video and subscribe to our channel.
It helps YouTube promote our videos so more people like you can learn from our wine tips and tricks.
Just as a disclaimer before we get started, for this video we picked wines that should be available for you throughout the country.
We didn't want to pick any niche wines that are only found in specialty stores, so that's why we did that.
Additionally, we aren't sponsored by any of these red wines. We just like them.
We picked wines that we like. If you have any wines that you recommend, leave them below in the comments.
This wine comes from Garzon, Uruguay and is made from 100% Tannant grapes.
This wine is aged for 6-12 months in French oak barrels.
Garzon Tannant is a juicy, full-bodied, tannic, dry wine with a medium acidity.
This wine has flavors of blackberry, red cherry, coffee, and just a few notes of chocolate in it.
Garzon pairs well with grilled steak, venison, blue cheese, or dark chocolate.
They also won the New World Winery of the Year according to Wine Enthusiast in 2018.
So overall, I think it's a really good wine and it's absolutely delicious. I don't think you can go wrong with this one.
It's great.
This wine is made from a blend of grapes from around Italy.
These grapes are hand-picked and then the juice is fermented in steel tanks and then placed into oak barrels.
Grand Alberone is a full-bodied red blend with rich flavors of blackberry, cherry, spice, chocolate, and vanilla.
And Grand Alberone Rosso pairs excellently with grilled steak, something spicy like fajitas, or a very full-flavored fish like salmon or maybe even tuna.
This wine is rated at 94 points and is only $9 at Aldi.
Why wouldn't you buy it? And just a side note, you shouldn't base your opinion just off of points alone.
But we'll go over that more in future videos.
Stay tuned for that.
This is my favorite go-to wine. It's made from 100% Malbec grapes from the Mendoza region of Argentina.
It's a bright red-colored wine. Medium-bodied, dry, with flavors of raspberry and plum within it.
Also, it has a very fresh, crisp taste to it.
This wine pairs well with red meat such as beef or lamb and it even goes well with grilled vegetables.
And it's only $10. Can you believe it?
It's your perfect everyday go-to wine.
Absolutely a winner. You have to try it.
My favorite.
Apothic Red Blend wine is made from a variety of grapes from California, including Zinfandel, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
It's a bold wine that is slightly dry with medium acidity.
And it has tastes of mocha, chocolate, brown spice, and even a little bit of vanilla to it.
Also, if you haven't checked out our previous video on how to pair wine with chocolate, check it out up above.
It'll give you a lot more background on what type of chocolate pairs perfectly with this wine because it definitely goes well with it.
So those are our favorite wines under $20.
