The Day Ruben Amorim Shocked Sir Alex Ferguson in 2012

Hello, good evening and welcome to LaLiga de Campeones. We're here with Wayne Rooney, captain of Manchester United, who is about to step onto the pitch in just a few moments, along with his team-mates and members of Sporting de Braga. The match of the third day in Group H at Old Trafford. Manchester United, who are the leaders of this group with 6 points, 3 points. They have the Portuguese side and also the Romanian club. Galatasaray, with 0 points, close the table. Marcelo Lima, who is a very interesting striker. We're going to look at him because he's a very interesting striker. The rest of the team... And there's Elderson, on the left wing, putting the ball into play. He hides that ball, Elderson, the service from the left. And the first goal of the match. Hugo Viana just scored. Eder, sorry, for the team. Alan, Alan has been the author of the goal. For Sporting de Braga, the first goal of the match. The Portuguese team score it in a great service from the left. Alan, finally, who has come in with absolutely everything. And a warm start to Manchester United in their stadium is repeated. Therefore, 0-1 on the scoreboard. And without going any further, in the last game, delicately well in those first seconds. Let's see there. Opportunity, Evans comes to head. Well, there he is handling the ball again with a lot of security in the Nussol team. Ruben Amorim. With Cleverley, who sometimes also appears in this last play. We saw him too. To open the field and to support in this type of play. And to give depth by the side. Let's see Cleverley, who has managed to win that ball. Elderson, the pass to Chicharito. The control with the chest. Mikael, who is practically going to stand up to the front. Mikael's throw. And the ball that goes out. He puts his hands on his head. The ex of Real Zaragoza, because... Here on the left, where Butner is going to try to overflow. Butner comes out. Alan crossed in his path. And in the end, the referee of the match. Theoretical positions. Van Persie has won the ball there. He plays towards Kagawa, who has tried to comb that ball, but he directs it towards the goal, where all the advantage was for... Mikael arrives there. Mikael was looking for the free kick. Rubena Morin. In the end... In moments of the matches, even in small teams in England, notice that for moments, Braga's Sporting can play. And Chicharito, who is a great header, but if he wants, he is not a pure 9, because he also has a lot of mobility. In Ederson... Elderson, sorry. What a good maneuver. Fantastic from Rubena Morin, the ex of Benfica. For this marker, which is tremendously positive. What a spectacular detail from Ederson. How it has gone. What a ball. My God, what we have just seen. Alan has just scored the second. How wonderful what Eder has just done. Tremendous. How it has gone in just one meter. He wins the back line. He ends up playing towards Alan, who ends up beating David De Gea. What a goal. Spectacular from Braga's Sporting. 0-2, minute 20. Tremendous. Well, we had talked about Eder, nothing more than the quality of this guy, this footballer. Not necessarily someone from the bench, but he does touch up something. This one towards the left wing, where Rubena Morin appears. Morin... Five, sometimes ten minutes. When he is able to print that high pace... Watch out. The advantage. Kagawa. Chicharito. There is the first from United. At the right time. 25 from the first half. The reaction of the Serral-Sperguson team arrives. There was a foul on Van Persie. The ball fell to Kagawa. The referee did very well in giving the advantage to the Japanese. Now he did. A good header for the Mexican, who is lethal in that kind of action. 1-2. The left wing has to be closing, and therefore he should have been marking with a lot of frequency, taking the ball from behind. Ball chopped for Van Persie. He controls it with his chest. He turns, for his less good profile, but he was surprised by that circumstance. The shot at half-time. The ball goes out. What a good ball from Rooney. The finish, Eder. Now comes Alan. Rooney. Van Persie. Chicharito. To follow the goal of the draw. Rooney has played directly from midfield in Manchester United. A decision with which... The hostilities for United. What a pass he has given to Van Persie. This filter to Kagawa, who was offside. Chicharito scores, but in the position of the Japanese, at least live. Sensational from Hugo Villar. Fantastic. Rafael Rooney continues. What a wall. Rafael, the center, finally clears in defense. Opening to Ruben Amorim. Amorim plays. By the way, in the end, the goal pass is given by Kagawa, but it is true that the first part of the Japanese... The defense of Braga. How well Nani, how he came out with that double cut. Ruben Mikael had to arrive, which gives me the feeling that he has also done damage. Central defense, although it is usually lateral. The Nigerian international. Van Persie. Van Persie opens to the left wing. It has been difficult to control Wayne Rooney. The player was good. He failed. That change of orientation to the Dutchman. Hugo Villar is thrown over, but Rafael has cut very well. What good confidence. The foul is clear. The direct launch to the goal. Let's see Van Persie there. Well, in the chest, who has played well for Cleverley. Cleverley does not have spaces. And Leandro... The fight there between Alan and Butner. And the other finds Cleverley. Now Rooney. And there Chicharito breaks the offside. Danger because the Mexican is already inside the area. Wayne Rooney is still playing at a good level. Rooney's pass to the first post. He arrived with danger, a lot of danger. Nani there. This combines with Elderson. Ruben Amorim comes. Again Elderson. It's a lot of ball. And if possible, greater proof will be difficult to win. Alan has played well to Ruben Amorim, who threw himself to the middle. The pass. Eriintel with Rooney. Rooney. Excellent pass. Fantastic. Salino loses it. Now the turns are changed. Rooney is the one who steals. What a goal opportunity. Chicharito did not arrive. A very complete game in all facets. Law of advantage. Cleverly again, who is in the right position. The center. Beto's hand. And in the end, Mop's goalkeeper. Van Persie prepares to hit. Evans has had it there. He ends up scoring. Almost unintentionally. Manchester United. But it was the inertia that the game had. And this play makes it clear. Practically unintentionally. Because he hits Evans. The ball seems not to go in. In the end he does. Braga is practically hanging from the goal. It was a play with the ball stopped. But in any case, United already has the tie at 2. Yes, notice that he also misses. A Braga defending in the area. He passes the ball. Elderson leaves it to Ruben Amorim. Amorim. Let's see how he solves it. The pass to Custodio. The shot. To a game that had become very complicated. Out of play. Now from Chicharito. After the pass from Van Persie. Well, a real hell begins. I think for Braga. Because now with the team in the mood. With Hugo Viana. Now through the center. Ruben Amorim. At the start of the second half, Braga already gave the draw for good. Or at least that is the feeling that the game can leave us. And well, his goal is going to be ... Eder, Eder is going to protect. He has Ruben Micael. He has tried to surprise. Chicano with what strength. With what character. Perturba to Anani. There is the third. Beto avoids it. Beto just avoided it. Spectacular. There the United in that start. First Evans in the recovery. Subsequently Chicharito. Immense. Del Braga defending this situation. Chicharito in the head. Beto, when he was on the ground, has managed to get the ball. Chicharito disputed it. A2. The duel at Old Trafford. Ruben Micael plays. Cleverly again. He's going to hang that ball. Chicharito sends it. The third. Well, there is the goal. Javier Hernández. Chicharito in the minute. 30. He turns the score. Cleverly had all the time in the world to prepare the center. And Chicharito entered alone. Too many facilities for a great header as is the Mexican. It is clear that the Braga is a team that suffers without the ball. And we were just commenting that it is a team that does not press too much, that does not score, that is not too aggressive. And this is the demonstration. Notice how the Braga is placed. Persi. Again Rooney. The United is still playing very comfortably. Ruben Amorim. Elderson. And we are going to see the exit now of Dia Amorim. With much more ambition. Hugo Viana is going to rehearse the launch. To look for the launch. Alan. He leaves Butner behind in the center. He hits Alan. We are going to see that header. Naní touches. Cleverly. Naní again. He hangs that ball. Correct position. Van Persie's. He has been able to close the game here. And the United. If Robin Van Persie gets it right. With that shot. He hit with his right. He left. Hugo Viana. Very good. Elderson's free kick. Come on. Parbosa. The center. In the end. To the team. In the second phase of the Champions League. We are going to see how this game ends. Because C. Luis has controlled very well. Although his shot has gone out. But the control has been wonderful. He was doing so well. In those first 20 minutes. He gave life and air to a Manchester United. That in Old Trafford. Of course. It is a fearsome team. And he turned it around. Gabi. At the end of the game. 3-2. We have that feeling. That Braga has shown what he is capable of.
