Hey guys, welcome back.
I hope you guys are well.
So today I have some home decor updates for you guys.
I actually got some new credences and I showed you guys the ones that I wanted in a previous
video and I ended up getting those so I'm super excited to show what they look like.
They're gonna go in these inventions next to the fireplace and I think that they are
absolutely perfect.
So let's go ahead and get into it.
So the credences that I ended up getting are from Okham Home.
It's a store on Amazon and they were really affordable.
They go on sale every now and then so I'll link them down below for you guys in the description
box.
Y'all can check them out.
I love the color of them.
They are a sun wash oak and I think they are perfect.
So we're gonna go ahead and put these together.
Super easy to assemble.
So I'll show you guys the finished product once we're done.
Okay guys, so this is what the credences look like after we placed them in place.
I got two of them in the sun washed oak color and I think they're just so pretty.
I really love how they added this little like rose gold brassy detail here.
I think it just kind of adds a little bit of like luxury to it, like adding more textures.
That's how I like to personally add like color and like variety to my space is through texture
because y'all know I'm very much a neutral girl.
So I think playing around with textures does still give you like that interesting look.
So I really love how these gold handles really add like that luxury touch to the space.
This is what they look like assembled.
I really, really, really love how it came out.
Of course, I'm going to add something on top of them.
We're thinking some shelves.
I've been on the lookout for some really nice shelves and kind of like researching like
what the same shelf would look like at the same color shelf as the credences would look
like and I think it'll actually look good depending on what I put on the shelves.
So yeah, I'm going to of course keep you guys updated on that and what I find.
But overall, this is the look of the credences and I think it's a nice touch really fills
the space but not too, too much.
So yeah, I love how perfect they fit in that pocket, which makes me feel like they were
meant to be here.
So yeah, love it, love it, love it.
So I'm going to go ahead and show you guys some new things that I did get some home decor
items I picked up from HomeGoods and Target and we're going to try to style these shelves
with what I have.
So let's get into that.
So since fall is coming up, I am trying to add some touches here and there.
I'm going to go to Target today and see what all new Studio McGee things they have.
My target was late to getting it, but I did decide to add these florals.
These are from Afloral and I absolutely love them.
I always switch up my eucalyptus.
I normally keep like a full eucalyptus in this vase, but I decided to go with a really
nice fall floral from Afloral, which I love.
So I'll link that down below for you guys.
I think it really adds like that nice fall touch.
It is officially September.
So it's time to start adding those vibes.
So this is what it looks like from far, just a really, really beautiful full floral.
So like I said, I'll link it down below for y'all.
So I did go to Target and I picked up a few new things.
First one being this candle.
It's so beautiful.
I love this deep brown color.
It just really screams fall.
It is the dry eucalyptus scent.
I do like the scent.
I typically don't burn my decorative candles.
I just like how they look.
So the smell doesn't really matter and it's not strong enough for it to kind of like pull
through on its own.
So I just kind of just like the look of it.
So this one was $12.99 at Target from the Hearth and Hand Collection.
Just a beautiful, beautiful candle.
It has the white wax in it and it's just gorgeous.
So I'm going to use this to style it.
I'll show you guys how I style this one later and all the things I'm about to show you.
I'll show you guys how I style that later on in the video, but just a really beautiful
candle.
Absolutely love it.
Next thing I picked up is this candelabra.
Is that how you say it?
I'm not sure, but I love this.
This is just a gorgeous brass tone candle holder.
I don't have candles for it just yet.
Hearth and Hand did have some candles, but I wasn't sure of what color I wanted to get
yet.
But I think that this is just absolutely beautiful and I think will go perfect on those credenzas.
So I'm going to style this as well.
I think this is the perfect fall look, especially for holidays.
I just really love how these look like on a dining table, on a console table with your
tall candles.
These are just really, really nice to add that holiday spirit to your space.
So this one is definitely going to last through fall and winter for me.
So absolutely love this.
I'll also link it down below for you guys.
This one was $19.99.
So I did end up getting a couple of new coffee table books.
Actually, I have quite a few new coffee table books because I knew that I was going to be
getting some new credenzas and consoles.
If y'all know me, y'all know I love to throw a book on pretty much anything because it
really just adds a really nice touch to the space and looks more well-rounded and a really
good foundation to add decor to.
This book is The Art of Home by Shane McGee and y'all already know I love Shane McGee.
I love Studio McGee at Target and her decor style is just so beautiful.
The book itself is gorgeous.
I got this from Amazon.
Has really nice decor styling in here.
Also has really great tips on how to style your home in here as well.
Great inspo ideas and I just absolutely love it.
Simplicity is a feeling created by hundreds of nuanced details and it's true.
There's so many little things that you can place in your home to make it interesting.
It doesn't have to be a whole lot going on, which I personally like a decluttered space
and there's a way to do it without it being boring.
I think that stuff like this is just gorgeous.
Beautiful book by Shane McGee.
It's called The Art of Home.
You can get it on Amazon.
Of course, I'll link it down below for y'all.
Definitely check this one out.
It's a really good size as well.
For the price, I think it's totally worth it.
Moving on to home goods finds, I found this book, The Nomad at Home, Designing a Home
I really love well-traveled, well-cultivated homes.
This book is gorgeous, first and foremost.
I got this at Home Goods in Houston when I was out there.
This one retailed for $29.99.
It's a really nice book.
There's some good stuff in here to make your home look well-traveled.
You can always add things from your travels to your home.
I think that really makes a very interesting look as well.
This book really has some good stuff in it.
Really good stories and things like that.
It really has a nice fall vibe too.
This is a pretty fall vibe looking book.
It can go year-round as well, but I definitely wanted to add some more brown tones to get
ready for fall.
Another good one.
Here's another coffee table book that I got from Home Goods.
This one may look familiar.
I've seen this one a lot.
This is the Call It Home book by Amber Lewis.
It's just a beautiful brown tone, perfect for fall.
Just a really gorgeous book.
Has some good decor in it.
Absolutely love this.
I have this book styled on my coffee table sitting open to this page because I absolutely
love this living room.
It's gorgeous.
This one retailed for $19.99, which is not bad at all.
This is a really, really nice book.
The size on it, it's a little bit smaller than the others I showed you, but it's not
a small book.
It's just like a regular size book.
Just really gorgeous.
Love it.
Definitely recommend this one as well.
Another book that I got from Home Goods is the Arranging Things book by Colin King.
I haven't seen this one in anybody's home or just anywhere, but I like the style of
the book.
I love how sideways it just says arranging things, which is my thing.
The thing about these books are I got books that resonate with me.
I don't remember how much this one was.
I think this one was $24.
This one was $24, I believe.
It's just a really nice book as well.
Really gorgeous.
Fall tones, all that good stuff in it.
It really teaches you how to arrange things and gives you different ideas like the art
of emptiness.
Just ways of how to style your home.
It's also just a pretty book as well.
Definitely recommend this one.
I think that it is just a super gorgeous book.
If you see this one at your Home Goods, this one styles really well.
It's also a really good size too, so perfect for styling pieces on top of it and all that
good stuff as well.
Another book that I got from Home Goods is Minimalista.
This one is a classic that everyone probably has in their home at this point.
I have not had it, so when I seen it, I went ahead and picked it up.
It's $19.99 at Home Goods.
This is just a really nice book to have.
It goes with pretty much any space.
It's just a nice way to add something to your space.
If you need an extra decor piece, things like that.
It's a really neutral book, so it's going to go with a lot of different styles and things
like that.
It's also a step-by-step guide to a better home wardrobe and life, so it's a little bit
more than just home decor and things like that.
This may actually be a great book to look through, especially if you're trying to declutter
your space, live a more minimal life.
This one might be a good one for you.
Minimalista is a classic, $19.99 at Home Goods.
This is the final look of the styling of the credenza.
This is what it looks like for now.
I'm definitely going to add some more stuff to it.
I just worked with what I had.
This one is my favorite.
I think it has a really good look on here so far.
I'm definitely going to add some candles to this candelabra.
Whenever we add the shelves, I'm probably going to do two shelves.
I think that's going to be enough up here.
If not two, then it'll be three at the most, but I think it'll be just two.
I don't want to overcrowd it.
On this side, I just have the new Nomad home book on top of my Louis Vuitton book with
some decor and stuff that I had.
All this is from Target.
This bow and this knot, and then our vow books from the wedding are over here as well.
This is what the styling looks like on the coffee table.
I just put the minimalista book sitting on top of the AD book, and then the call it home
book is just open right here as well.
I love having open books on the coffee table.
I think it just adds a whole other element of decor and looks more lived in.
This is the styling.
Obviously, there are credenzas.
Because they have a lot of room in them, which I'm really happy about, excuse the background
noise if y'all hear anything.
It is a rainy day, another rainy day, which I'm super excited about.
Y'all know I love the rain, but anyways, very spacious inside of the credenzas.
I'm going to use these for books and media and games because they are overcrowding my
office storage right now, so this is going to be great to clear that space out so I can
use it for more work stuff.
But very spacious on both sides, so yep, I'm going to go ahead and pack these down now.
I hope you guys enjoyed today's video.
