Excited because we are finally decorating my apartment for November,
Harvest Thanksgiving themed, and I absolutely love this because it's a little more relaxed
than my October or December decorations, and this is really great because I can reuse a
few decorations from summer, like this beautiful glass little like puzzle thing,
and I'll also be moving some decor from different rooms to keep everything fresh
without buying a ton of new items. I'm also reusing the glass pumpkin that I had on the
TV stand at Halloween, and I've had these for quite a few years now. These are a bunch of
leaves and twinkly lights, so I have to get them untangled because I took two of these
leave garlands and I put them with the twinkly lights, and they have a little battery pack
that I'll show you in a second, and honestly, to store them, I just take those batteries out,
and then I replace the batteries every year, and I think I've had these for three years now,
and they have worked really well, and this is a perfect spot for them right above the fireplace
on the TV stand. Now I'm going to show you how I'm reusing some decor from other rooms.
This is my vase that's usually in the bathroom, so I grabbed it and I took the Halloween stuff
out of it and cleaned it up, and now I'm actually going to be using it here on the TV stand
as part of my harvest decor. I have some really, really adorable fake pumpkin little stems. They're
so cute. I love velvet pumpkins, and then I also have these, and what I love about this is that I
can just reuse it for years to come, and it also has like an orange-yellow vibe, so it goes super
perfectly with those leaves, and I'm gonna show you several different ways that I ended up moving
some things around in this vase. So at first when I put the stuff in there, I was like, that's okay,
but I knew that it could be better, especially with those orange little flowers that are like
on the stems. I just thought they were really, really overwhelming for the flowers in the back,
and I wanted to have more of that orange and yellow coming through, so this is a really good
example of if you are decorating and you feel like, okay, I really don't like this, it's okay
to take everything back out and pretty much completely start over in that one section,
which is kind of what I ended up doing. So that's the finished vase. I really loved that. Now I'm
going to be putting the rest of my decor in my TV stand. I love this sweater stack of pumpkins.
So it's plastic, so it stores really well, and I love that it matched the sweater I was wearing,
and I think it looks really cute with this Martha Stewart glass pumpkin that I got last year. I love
this piece. I think it's so interesting and eclectic, but it still has that fall harvest-y feel.
I also have this beautiful reed diffuser. This one has a gold leaf on it, and it has these cute
little orange rocks inside, which I love. I actually bought one with a silver leaf that's
in my bathroom because I loved it so much. So this is another example of sometimes things
don't work out, but they end up looking perfect anyway. So this cold leaf tray I moved several
times. That little light-up pumpkin just wasn't going to fit into the shelves, so I moved down
the glass ball and I ended up putting the leaf there, but that even ends up not being its home.
Then I put the velvet squash at the very bottom, and the middle part, because I'm kind of keeping
this simple. I ended up just putting some velvet pumpkins, and you'll see I actually put the gold
leaf tray there, and I put some more velvet pumpkins around just so that it has some orange
and some decor everywhere, but it's not overwhelming. So you can see I moved that
gold tray to the middle because it had more symmetry. Then I got to go into my living room
and flip over my Halloween pillows to show the other side, which is my harvest side.
So I definitely recommend something like this if you want to kind of cut down on how much decor you
have because it's very good. I have these little cloth pumpkins. They're really, really cute, and
they go perfectly on the edge of my couch. So that's probably one of my favorite spots in the
house, honestly. And then I got to move into the kitchen, again, keeping it super simple.
So I really just have some tea towels and then a couple of leftover items that were for Halloween
that I ended up using for harvest anyway. I have this adorable brie holder. So this is really for
baking brie cheese, but to be honest, it's so beautiful that I end up using it for decor.
So I took all of the little tags and everything off and placed it on the island. I just love
that piece. It ties the living room kitchen together perfectly. Then you can see I have
these leftover little pumpkins and my leftover teapot from Halloween. I just turned him around
so nobody will know that he's actually a jack-o'-lantern. And I have my little sign for my
name. I think this is a really cute spot. And then again, the coffee area, super simple. I want to
keep it light. I really hope that you guys enjoyed this video. I absolutely love this time of year,
and I will see you all next time.
