Here are the top shoe trends for fall-winter 2024 for everyday wear.
First, let's talk about the key materials defining this fall's footwear trends.
A staple material this season, leather stands out in its polished and luxurious finishes.
It plays a central role across various designs, from thigh-high boots to loafers and structured
heels, offering versatility and sophistication. Expect styles to gravitate towards a high-end,
wealthy aesthetic. Here we see Madewell's Leather Ballet Flat,
the wardrobe essential that seamlessly transitions your summer outfits into fall
and is versatile enough to be worn with dresses and pants alike.
Metallic footwear, especially in silver and gold, is making a significant impact this season.
These reflective tones add a touch of glamour and are seen across both high-end and everyday
footwear. Silver, in particular, has been highlighted in various runway shows,
offering a modern way to include shine into your wardrobe.
Stuart Weitzman incorporates a glossy metallic in his fall's loafers.
The Mary Jane is going strong with continuous new releases this season.
Even Sam Edelman's bestseller Daria Style received a golden makeover.
And Adidas released their metallic version of sneakers as well.
Stay tuned till the end where I will share the newest sneaker releases for the upcoming season
trends. Faux fur and shearling are increasingly popular used not only for their warmth but also
for their textural appeal. These materials were seen in boots and in their footwear.
Free People's full-length knee-high boots are a winter showstopper if you like the shearling
aesthetic. Indoor fuzzies are a growing trend we've seen more and more in recent years.
And you know, in the right circumstances, maybe you're traveling, spending a few days with
relatives, maybe you're going skiing and you need to spend a few days in a cabin snowed in,
these are the indoor comfort shoes with a lot more style than your regular slippers.
Vionic also released a more minimalist fuzzy mule.
Minitonka is a good option for when you want a full slip-on for 360 degrees of warmth.

Now let's talk about the dominant colors we expect to see the upcoming months.
Burgundy and oxblood, this deep rich hue is one of the standout colors this season.
It's a sophisticated evolution of the red tones that were popular in previous seasons.
Burgundy shoes, particularly in luxurious materials like leather and suede,
offer a timeless and elevated look, making them a key investment for the season.
I'm so glad to see it become popular because I have quite a few burgundy sweater dresses.
As you probably noticed, burgundy is quite common in fall-winter and I've been looking
for burgundy shoes to match for about two years. We will see plenty of options this season.
Bruna Magli released a patent leather burgundy lower heel style.
I have featured this pair before. I have it in a mushroom neutral shade.
It's probably one of the most comfortable pairs of heels I own because the inside leather is soft,
molds around the foot easily, and it didn't require breaking time for me. This lower heel
combination is also a better choice if you stand for longer periods of time during the day.
Madewell's burgundy kitten heels are such a beautiful addition. Minimalistic, practical,
stylish, and comfortable. It really does check off lots of boxes for everyday wear.
And here is a slender square toe and demi-block heel in croc embossed leather in a knee-high
silhouette for timeless appeal. Brown remains a dominant color for footwear in fall-winter 2024.
This color aligns with a quite luxury aesthetic, offering a chic and versatile option that pairs
well with a wide range of outfits from this year's fashion trends. To pull off this look,
the leather kitten slingback is a feminine option to transition into fall. If you want
more coverage, opt for saturated brown shades and minimal designs for booties and tall boots.
Black and white is a fresh combination that is welcomed into the colder months. Kate Spade adds
a preppy feminine touch to the classic loafer with a check pattern ribbon on glossy leather.
We see the Mary Jane pump style included as well. The cap toe is here to stay. We've seen it all
year round. Christian Louboutin is also following this trend with a low heel release.
Lovely contrasting details here. Finally a pair that is wearable without losing appeal.
Plaid is here and how exciting to wear it in shoes. We've seen it in this season's fashion
trends and Manolo does not disappoint. It's probably my dream brand. I love the colors
and the Mary Jane take on this style. Perfect for adding height and stay chic. It's a beautiful
versatile design, great for everyday office wear paired with some black tights, night time events,
and even holiday gatherings. Yes, the festivities will be here sooner than we think. And if you want
even more glamour and are a super fan like me, the famous Hunt GC are now available in plaid as well.
Moving on to more affordable wear, we see the black and white plaid combination, a classic
that is so easy to style with blacks, whites, monochromatic cool shade outfits. Oxfords are also
in for this fall, continuing with a preppy wealthy aesthetic. Love this style and the detailed
contrasting heel, so unique. And then we have Burberry who leads the way in this category.
Plaid is their signature style, pricey but they are an English staple with quality and craftsmanship
to back it up. From sneakers to booties to slippers, there are plenty of options to choose from.
Next category to classify the fall winter shoe trends is by shape. These aren't your typical
loafers. Look for loafers with exaggerated platforms and unique details like ribbed treads
or slim rectangular heels. I must say this blando chunky loafer is the fall version of a practical
comfort loafer because it's waterproof and it gives height in slushy weather. We all want to
keep our socks dry, don't we? It's a smart casual option for the city life. Stuart Weitzman released
a pretty significant heel if you are looking for more height. Lots of colors to choose from and
Vionic comes in with a very similar style and many many more positive reviews. And lastly I have to
brand Cork Ease. I discovered them about two summers ago in my endless pursuit of comfortable
open-toed shoes. They are impossible to find for me. The Cork Ease leather sandals are very well
made, lasting through lots of beachwear and salt water. Not sure they're meant for that.
If comfort is your priority, go with these. The over the knee and thigh high boots continue to
dominate the runways, offering a dramatic and elongating silhouette, featuring sleek designs
and luxurious materials like leather, making them a bold choice for those looking to make a statement.
I really like the over the knee boots. I don't know where I would wear them but they look
so warm. Especially in New England weather, it's all about quality materials that keep you warm.
These UGG boots look so comfy, like a blanket for the legs. The western style is going strong.
Have you seen the Olympics? Oh yes! So if this trend resonates with you, go for it. The equestrian
style just above the knee is one of my favorites. It doesn't hug the thighs but the front lip covers
the knees for an elongating effect. Lots of waterproof options here as well. Then we have
the classic Stuart Weitzman Lowland for all-day wear. If you have them already, this is definitely
the season to bring them out. Chelsea boots have been reimagined with thicker soles and rugged
details. Gani and Acne Studios are among the brands pushing this trend, making these boots
a durable yet stylish option for the colder months. I have to admit UGG is becoming trendier
by the season and I'll tell you why. Big, bulky and chunky is in. UGG also refined a little bit,
slimming down their design and between the two, I think they met halfway and women like them.
The square toe shape is making a strong comeback, particularly in loafers, boots and heels. This
design adds a modern, angular touch to footwear, moving away from the rounder toe that have been
prevalent in recent seasons. Rothy's, the popular flats brand, has released a square toe Mary Jane
with a check design. Sam Edelman's minimalist Sylvia boots come in beautiful brown shades.
This shape is particularly popular in updated western boots and structured heels.
Moving on to sneakers, they are now part of smart office wear, even for women. We simply have to
talk about them. Here are this season's newest releases that follow the trends we've been talking
about. The Vea Campo are one of the top selling sneaker brands we've been seeing all year. The
fall brown shades are this season's go-to style. Another pair, the Vintage Oasis sneaker, has great
reviews and stands out to me because of the superior craftsmanship that includes leather
lining. The Hookah Solomon is the newest release for running shoes. It's the best selling brand for
a reason. Thousands of women rave their comfort. This style comes in a lot more muted monochromatic
color options that make them wearable and have bigger appeal, I think. I have to include the
floral bondi style as well. It looks so pretty. It has these micro flower additions done with taste.
So adorable. A bit chunky? Here is Adidas' latest style, the Hanbo sneaker, similar to the Samba,
with slight detail design updates. And now for office wear, if you're looking for a retro
polished look, we have the all-white Bionic Winnie sneaker. Second pick for non-white options would
be the Olukai Convertible sneaker, known for comfort and all-day wear. It has incredible
reviews. It does fold a heel if you want to opt for a slip-on look, which gives a slight edgier
feel to the outfit. Great reviews as always. Don't forget to download my free checklist,
link below as well. I'll see you in the biggest fall fashion trends coming up next!
