CABO San Lucas Mexico (what to SEE and DO)

Hola! Bienvenidos! Welcome to beautiful Cabo San Lucas! Buenos dias! Good morning Country Collectors! As you can see by these smiles on our faces we are so happy because we are back at the beach! That's right! We're in Cabo baby! Woo hoo! It's known as one of the top vacation destinations in Mexico and we cannot wait to explore it with you! But before we get started make sure to hit that subscribe button and ring the bell 🔔 so you don't miss out on any of our future adventures! First let's check out where we're staying. Who is it? Housekeeping. Oh hey! I've been waiting for you! Come on in and check out our pad! This looks nice. It is nice for 43 USD a night in Cabo this is a steal it has everything. We have a beach umbrella, cooler, a place to hang our stuff, fresh towels. Check out our bathroom, it's beautiful. Oh that's nice and roomy! We also have this little kitchen area with our own refrigerator, coffee machine, plates. I even have a little cutting board for making for some limes for the cerveza later. Everything you need! That's right! Come in here and check out this gorgeous bedroom! Wow! Is this fit for a king and a queen? I mean it really is! This chair is awesome. Frida's on the wall! They have some games. It even comes with some slippers! Come on people! Let's go check out the best part! The best part? I thought that was the best part? The best part! We have our own private patio out here. Wow! Relaxing in the sun, playing some games or just enjoying a beer! This looks fantastic. It is fantastic now let's get this day started! Sweet place right? Yeah we're just about a 10 minute walk into town. We're staying here in the more local residential area which is nice because it's a lot more quiet. Alright let's keep going! Traveler tip: make sure to book your transportation from the airport to town in advance! Not only will you save some dinero but you also avoid the timeshare salesman at the airport. Taxis normally cost between 60 and 80 dollars and that is just outside of our budget. Luckily I found a local bus called the Ruta del Desierto that leaves every 10 minutes from the terminals. It costs 85 pesos a little more than four dollars so if you want to save some cash we definitely recommend it. Yesterday when we were walking around we saw a sign for a beautiful morning hike. It's supposed to have wonderful panoramic views of Cabo and Lands End. So grab some water, lace up those shoes and get ready for some fun! But first we gotta fuel up! Check out this cool plaza let's take a look around! This lovely lady just told me that on Fridays there's an art walk here in this plaza. They have local food, traditional dancing and lucky for us today is Friday! So stay tuned for that later because we are definitely going to come check that out! It looks like there is a coffee shop right across the street! uh-oh I see a sign for (whispering) Frappes. Me too! Let's go! (laughter) I love this! We're at the Cabo Coffee Company and their motto is Death before Decaf. (laughter) That's hilarious! Alright let's head in! I wish you could smell how delicious it is in here. Wow! I said to Adam let's just pop in and get a light snack before the hike and then I saw they have bagels! I haven't had one of these in like five months! I'm so happy! I believe it's asiago with ham, cheese and philadelphia cream cheese! And this mocha frappe - you know i'm happy! You mocha me happy too! (laughter) Look at the size of this cinnabon! This is heaven! This is how I get Adam to go hiking. That's right you need to bribe me! Wow that was delicious but we better get going or we're gonna miss that hike! Like that would bother you. Who me? And when you're in town you're going to see this huge building that looks a little bit out of place. You're going to want to go to the west side of it so like the right side of it if you're walking towards lands end because that is where you're going to find the hike. Wow there is actually a lot of people here! I'm so excited, I hope you are too! They just opened the gates let's go on this hike! So if you wanna do the hike you definitely gotta be here on time. They leave at 8:15. They close the gate and you can't get in. You can hear those dogs barking! Oh my god they're here playing. I believe we are gonna go hiking with them as well so cool! I hope you are ready because we are about to start! Look at this grin. Look at this view! Ah I'm so happy! We are going to be hiking up there. I believe the mountain is called Mt Solmar. We just stopped for about 10 minutes and Enrique enlightened us. He just gave us so much fun information and also told us to remain present. This is the only real time we have is right now so don't worry about the future don't worry about the past this is it right here people this is the only real thing. So right now I want you to take a deep breath, close your eyes, hold it for a second and let it all out through your mouth. Remember to stay present and enjoy the moment. Alright let's keep going! Man this is fun! It's definitely getting a little steeper right now so make sure you wear some good shoes for this hike! It's tough but it's not too tough. I know what you're thinking he's pretty spry for a big guy! (Laughter) What do you think so far? I love it! These views are incredible. Really we're so glad you came along with us. We can't wait to get to the top we'll see you there! We have made it welcome to the top of Mt Solmar! This is incredible. I'm on top of the world baby! (laughter) When you come up here be careful! Know where you're stepping. It is a long fall down and we want you to be safe. And look who made it! Well they beat us. Wow they get to do this every morning! You definitely have to channel your inner mountain goat while you're up here! And look at that! This is incredible. This is lands end right here. There is no land from this point all the way to Antarctica! Crazy! And right down there that's where el Arco is, the arch. That's divorce beach and on the other side is lovers beach. That was awesome and it looks like it's all downhill from here! Make sure to stay tuned until later when we're going to take you on a boat trip out to lands end to see the world famous arch! Do not forget to hydrate people we care about you! What a way to start your day! You guys ready to hike back up? Just kidding! We're actually going to take this nice sloping trail that goes back down to the start. Oww make sure you watch out for these prickers here. I just got some in my butt! And when you are done with your hike and you feel so inclined you can leave a little tip here! It goes towards Enrique and him caring of this land and the dogs. We made it back! Honestly I'm not that happy I could have stayed up there all day, but we have so much more in store for today. What do you say about a little dip in the ocean? Oh that sounds good to me! Alright come with us! Do you hear this? There are sea lions sitting on the dock here behind us. This is the marina. We're gonna come back here and show you some more later but right now let's vamos a la playa! In front of us is this beautiful public beach here. Is this heaven or what? We've heard a couple of different names for this beach. The main one being Cannery beach. I think it might be different now either way they have these gorgeous palapas that are free for everyone. And they even have handicap access on these two right here, so if you're in a wheelchair or you can't walk on the sand you can just come down and still be in the shade. You can see over here people just got back from kayaking to the arch. Over there is Medano beach which is the main beach with the resorts. We're gonna head over there a little later but right now I want to get in that water! Heidi?! Heidi?! Where'd you go? I'm in here! Oh hey! Nice spot you got here! Come on in! I like it, so shady! I know. Alright I can't wait any longer, let's jump in! WOW! Check out these beautiful murals behind me. It is called Gigantes del mar, the giants of the sea. This is just incredible! This is something really special. Not only is it beautiful but it's also the local beach. I'm just in heaven right now! Check out how clear the water is! Make sure when you're going on that hike to bring your bathing suit because this is another sweet reward. This is just like the cherry on top! Seriously we're just knocking them out today. We got to have frappes, go a gorgeous hike. I'm at the beach with an angel. What could we do next that would be better? Oh there's a lot more to come so stay tuned! Make sure to get here early. Around noon all these umbrellas are full. If you get here after that don't worry though there are vendors that rent umbrellas and chairs as well. We don't have time today but right down here where these rocks are is some really nice snorkeling where you can spot a bunch of different types of tropical fish. This is absolute bliss and if we could stay here all day we definitely would but we gotta get going! We gotta show you that marina and downtown Cabo so come with us! Chances are you're going to find yourself down here on the marina. It is like the epicenter of Cabo San Lucas. Everything is going on down here. You're going to find all the restaurants, the bars, every activity you wanna do this is the place you're gonna find the people to take you out and do it. It's a really fun time so we definitely recommend heading down here! And when you're walking along the marina you might just get lucky and spot one of these big fellas! Look at this sea lion! Right down here you're gonna see a lot of these booths where they are selling activities such as water taxis to lands end, golfing, ATVs you name it! Some of the time they are offering like 80 percent off but I believe it's because you have to go pick up your tickets and attend one of those timeshares (sales pitch). We'll rip you off for less he said! So if you want to save some money and you have time it might be worth it to do that. When you're down on the marina make sure to stop by the famous Cabo sign and snap some photos. It's right next to this peppermint colored lighthouse here. Behind it is Tesoro. It's a really nice hotel here that offers day passes. You can go up and use the pool, have a couple drinks, enjoy it for the day. It's definitely worth checking out! While you're walking around they have these great Cabo walking maps so you can have a couple of drinks and not get lost. All along the marina here you are gonna see these ATMS. They give out US dollars but convenience comes with a price tag. They are going to charge a higher transaction fee. If you want to save some money head back to that Cabo sign we just showed you. Cross the street and on the left you're gonna find Banco Azteca. They only charge $1.50 for their transaction fee and they're also gonna give you pesos which is great because you are always gonna pay more if you spend US dollars. I don't know about you but we need a break from this heat! Yes please! And I'm getting hungry. What's new? (laughter) The other day we went to this amazing taqueria called Los Claros. It was so delicious and we wouldn't be doing this video justice if we didn't show it to you. Let's go check it out! This is another super popular spot here. The Giggling Marlin. I love their slogan. "If our food, drinks and service aren't up to your standards, lower your standards." (laughter) I don't know if you can see that behind me but they are misters and they felt so good. Los Claros is located just a few blocks off of the marina but you can check out some of these nice souvenir shops along the way. Hola! We have made it! The best seafood tacos in Cabo! Bienvenidos a Los Claros! Right here behind me these people are having what I believe are micheladas. They have upside down beers in them and they look delicious, and so cool! If we didn't have so much other stuff plan for the day I'd probably be having one right now. We came here the other day and there was a guy running a taco tour called Juan More Taco. Check him out if you'd like! And he told us a tip to get the crunchy taco. We've never even heard of this before. When they fry the tacos they actually put corn flakes in there to give it a little extra CRUNCH and it was phenomenal! Stay tuned to see it. I know what you're thinking, Adam those don't look so specTACOlar. Well give me a second and I'll fix that! (SNAP!) That's right! It looks like magic but behind me here is an epic taco toppings bar like you have never seen! Let's go check it out! There's so many toppings this is a two-hand job! It's incredible. They have guacamole, pico de gallo, three kinds of hot sauce, cucumbers, slaw, peanut sauce, hot sauce, some sort of corn salsa, habanero onions, and roasted peppers! This looks like perfection. This is my pepper dance! OOoo baby I love your way, pepper dayyy! This fish taco looks epic! I am so excited let's jump into this! Whoa that's intense! Wow that's the best crunch I've ever had in a taco. All those toppings just really, it didn't even bump it up a notch it bumped it up like 10 notches. You guys have got to try this place when you're here! Wow! We are finishing up here very quickly it is 1:40pm. We met this guy on the marina who said he would take us on a lands end tour for $30. A private tour. Sounds like it might be a little too good to be true. Yeah! We're not too sure but we're gonna go check it out so we love you to come with us! Hey get eating! Oh sorry! (laughter) Wow check this out they got a big fish in there! We made it down here with five minutes to spare let's go find Adam. So I guess it wasn't too good to be true. We just ran into Adam so come with us. Tu eres el capitan? Como te llamas? Carlos! Very excited. We just got on the boat. It's the boat he showed us yesterday it all looks legit we checked with the captain the price is the same it even has a glass bottom on it so we see some fish through there maybe hopefully or maybe a sea lion who knows! You have to make sure to put on your life jacket safety first! Oh ut oh it's not Adam's size. I think maybe I had Juan too many tacos! (laughter) Wow this is so nice Carlos is giving us a tour here telling us a bunch of interesting information about these rocks. You can see the pelicans going into the water. Very fun! This is absolutely incredible. That is pelican beach right here there's pelicans all over we are so excited! Man this is so cool! Fish in the water everywhere. This would be a great place to come swimming, snorkeling. Oh my goodness! Look at that. I can totally understand why people love Cabo! Yeah me too! I can hear a sea lion it's right over here on a rock next to this guy. Oh my god there's a guy like directly next to it, what the heck! This little gap right here connects lovers beach with divorce beach. Do not go over there unless you're looking to get divorced people. This is a San Andreas cave here and the saying is two people go in and three people come out. Look at this rock right here. They refer to it as Neptune's finger. It better not be your middle finger Neptune I am watching you! So cool you can actually see Scooby Doo in the rock. He's got two little pointy ears and a mouth check it out! And you know what time it is! We are about to see the arch or el arco for the first time! WOO HOO! Oh yeah baby we made it check it out! I love you! Beautiful. I am kind of at a loss for words. This whole experience has just taken my breath away. The fact that we're right here in the Pacific and the Sea of Cortez have come together and the violence of their waves has created this arch here over 87 million years ago. This is something that is so special and you cannot miss out on. We're so glad you joined us but when you come here you have to do it for yourself. This is the last rock of the peninsula and this is what divides the Pacific ocean and the Sea of cortez. We are now on the Pacific side and the water is significantly different than on the other side. It has strong undertows over here there are huge waves under no circumstances should you come swimming here. It's very dangerous. Look but don't touch people! This is where we hiked today and were looking down this morning. What a wonderful day it's been I can't believe that was today! I know! We're so happy we can share this with you and we hope that through our travels we inspire you to get out there more, see more, do more stuff that makes you happy. It's incredible! So instead of going to lovers beach he is going to drop us off here at pelican beach because it has the best snorkeling. They can drop you off for one hour two hours whatever you want and they'll come back and get you. We're just gonna go for a short time so he's just gonna anchor up! We'll see in the water! We always travel with our own mask and snorkels. We also like to bring along some mask defog because there's nothing worse when you can't see the beautiful marine life underwater. We'll put a link for them in the description down below. Like Adam always says, "let's jump in!" What are you waiting for? Come on in! Wow that snorkeling was fantastic! You got to do this trip like we said. Carlos is waiting for us so let's get back to the boat! I've got this perma-grin today! Just wonderful! Now we are returning back to the marina. But we don't have time for that we are gonna go home, change, and come back down for sunset! We'll be back in a... We're back! And so excited. We are walking on the east side of the marina now down towards playa Medano. It is one of the most popular beaches here in Cabo San Lucas. There's a bunch of restaurants, bars and resorts and it's also known as being a great place to watch the sunset. So come along with us! If you come down here at the right time you can see the fishermen bring in their catch and filleting them up right next to the boat. Behind me here is Puerto Paraiso. It is the local mall. If you forget anything at home this is the place to come and get it. They even have my favorite store forever 21. (laughter) Oh shut up! Let's keep going! Hey! Oh hey! This lovely lady was just telling me that it might seem like there's not a lot of people around right now but that's because it's still early. Later on this entire place is packed! And this guy just told me if I'm looking for a date he's available. Don't tell Adam. Hey! And when you're heading down to the beach if you need a snack or something to drink you can stop at the market market. It's so nice they named it twice! And wherever you are in Cabo look up at the mountains. It's hard to miss these gorgeous luxury villas. We are almost down at the jetty right now. This is a great place to watch the boats coming in and out of the harbor heading out for the sunset cruises. They have everything ranging from pirate ships to big dinner cruises those small water taxis to fit every sort of budget. Right behind me here is Playa Medano. When you come to Cabo San Lucas you are definitely going to find yourself down here for at least a day or two, or all of your days! This is where all the fun happens. The restaurants, the bars on the beach, you can get water taxis from here out to lands end. It's a great time so let's go check it out! I'm pretty sure we found where the party's at! That's right where we just were was kind of calm right now. Down here seems like it's a party all the time. Umbrellas are out here they got music going everyone's having drinks looks like fun! Let's go get one ourselves! We're gonna head up to this building right here and grab a drink! The other day at the beach I had a beer from the Baja brewing company. It was delicious! It was so good! Adam doesn't even like IPAs and - I really enjoyed it. Yeah! So we found out that they have a rooftop here in Cabo San Lucas and we are gonna go head up in it. I believe it's located at the cabo villas hotel here on the seventh floor. So let's go up! And remember people do not use the elevators in case of an emergency. Unless that emergency is for a beer! Safety first! We've arrived! I had no idea what to expect but this is perfection. Yeah the atmosphere is buzzing everyone is having a wonderful time and this view is just, wow! If you are coming on the weekend make sure you make a reservation because this place is packed! They have like eight different brews and some seasonal brews. I got the pelirroja red it's a delicious amber beer and Adam went with the oatmeal stout which he is really enjoying as well. There's a lot of great options for food. Adam wants to go with the infamous donkey balls! (laughter) Lo siento senor! We just got the inside scoop from Josue our waiter. He said if you're coming here he recommends getting the mile high nachos, pizzas, wings, marlin empanadas or his personal favorite the duck tacos. The pato tacos! Those sound delicious! I had no idea that even existed. And I just wanted to give a special shout out to Heidi! She finds the best places every time! We just got some mango jalapeno wings and they look delicious. He said they're not spicy they are sweet. I was hoping they'd be a little spicy but that's alright I get enough of that with Adam! Was this chicken on steroids? This thing is huge! Wow I have not had wings in so long and these are delicious! And we saved you a seat! Dad I dedicate this sunset to you! I love you and I miss you! We miss you Larry wish you were here! That was so much fun up there! I had such a good time the food was great the beer was really good. And we didn't want to leave the live music started but we gotta take you back to that park for the art walk! We will see you there! We have made it! Welcome to viva la plaza it is here in Amelia Wilkes park. It took about 15 minutes and we booked it from the Baja brewing company. It's pretty lively everyone looks like they're having fun so let's go check it out! Wow this place is so cool! Not only do they have art and live entertainment, but they have food! I see tlayudas, there's cupcakes over here bread, sushi. This guy's selling drinks! They have a tequila tasting. I don't even know what else they have but I can't wait to find out! Let's go take a look around! What he forgot to mention was that they have churros rellenos! Stuffed churros! We have to get one! let's do this! This is with cajeta which is caramel. Look at it dripping down! Oh my god it looks so good let me take a bite! Hey save some for me! wow! So tasty! That's why I love Heidi she got me my own! That's lechera. This is lechera, it's sort of like condensed milk. It looks so good it's dripping out the front! Hot, cinnamon, sweet! This is a winner right here people you have to get a stuffed churro! gracias! There are so many options. But what I want is this sushi I just saw over here! Let's go over and try some. This is a little assortment of sushi. It was a little over four dollars and I cannot wait to jump into this. Oh this one has beef in it and shrimp it's like a surf and turf roll! The kani is Adam's favorite so I'm gonna eat that! What! That's not fair. I can't be sweet all the time! When I go to a new city or place one of the first things I like to do is check out the local markets. It gives you such a great insight into the culture. Here in Cabo San Lucas, especially downtown because it is so touristy I feel like you don't get a lot of that. And that's why this market here or this night here on Fridays is so special because you can come down and taste some regional foods watch some dancing some singing performing. It's just a lot of fun and we definitely recommend doing this when you are here. Now I am really pooped! Mi tambien! Thank you so much for coming along on our day today.
