Welcome back to my channel. My name is Melissa Murrell and I'm a personal stylist for the
Everyday Woman. So something a little bit different for you this week, a slight
shift in focus for us. So as you'll know if you've been following me for a long time,
I either do body shape masterclasses, dressing women of all different shapes and sizes live on
the channel, or I showcase pieces that have come into the studio that are probably going out to
clients that week. Well a lot of you actually ask for information regarding my own style,
what I actually wear. So for this week we thought we would do what's new in Melissa's wardrobe.
I've also asked Sarah to come in armed with a load of things that she has either bought new
or that we're just both wearing sort of on repeat this week. So that's what you're going to get a
And as we always ask, if you could press that subscribe button, press the thumbs up,
share with a friend, then as always we would be very, very grateful. Now before I start today,
if you can hear the noise in the background, it's actually the rain and thunder. It is pouring it
down today. So yeah, I apologise in advance. There is nothing I can do about that, but we're just
going to crack on and film anyway. Okay, so the first place we're going to start is jewellery.
And again, every week I show you the pieces that work on everybody else. But for this week,
actually both myself and Sarah, we did a joint order at the same time. We went to Misoma. I
usually say Misoma, but I've been told I'm meant to say Misoma. And we picked out things for
ourselves. So these items that you're seeing right now are mine. They're not for any clients,
they're for what I needed in my wardrobe. So let's start off with the earrings. So I bought
myself two new pairs. And for me, I needed a couple of statement earrings. Yes, they're both
different. I've put one in each ear to show you. But I know Sarah just went for some really good
everyday hoops. So she'll be here any second. As soon as she's here, I will get her on for you.
The two I went for were both in their sort of new in range, love them. I get really nice sort of
80s retro vibes with those ones. And these ones are a little bit different for me,
because they are both silver and they're gold. So right now, as you'll see, the silver side is
showing. But if I was actually to swap them around and put them in the other way around,
the gold side there would be showing. So as you can see, they're split. Now you don't actually
have to have them split like that. They do all gold ones or silver ones. But I just thought the
shape of those was really, really interesting. And for me, these ones here will help to elevate
any really simple outfit where I'm relying on the jewelry and perhaps the handbag to do all the
talking. That's when I would wear that type of earring. So there are a couple that I'm loving.
And then necklace wise, I wanted a few more layering pieces. You've probably seen that I
always wear the Lucy Williams chunky necklace. I'll put that at the side of me now. But I wanted
to make sure that I had some layering pieces so that the dainty necklace doesn't actually get
lost. So this one here is actually a double necklace. So you get two of the layers in the
one necklace. And then this is just a really nice, simple pendant that you can't go wrong with,
to be honest with you. And then ring wise, I went for a little signature ring. I used to have a
signature ring before and I lost it. And I really like wearing those just on my little finger.
You can actually get these engraved as well. So I probably should have had my initials put on that
one. And this one is really fun and interesting. That is actually two rings in one. So you buy it
as one ring, but there are two parts. Just trying to pull it off her fingers. There you go. You
could actually split them up, but I like wearing them as one sort of chunky ring. And again,
I find that when you have got a statement piece on like that, you actually don't need anything
else because that's often enough, especially if you've got a nice handbag or just a statement
coat, you don't need to go over the top. That said, Messimer are actually really good at doing
that full range that if anybody watched my video last week, the part one and part two,
I spoke about how important it was in jewellery to both have the daintier pieces that perhaps
could be layered up so you don't lose them and the statement pieces. And yeah, Messimer do a
lovely collection of all of them. Oh, and I nearly forgot my bracelet. Absolutely love this. Look how
you take it off. Look at that. Sorry, I'll try and get the focus for you. So you just snap it over.
So that is going to be so much easier to get on and off than a lot of the bracelets. I always use
the claw thing, the crocodile clip to help me put the bracelet on and off. But I love that.
Love the way it looks. Love how easy it is to put on. All of these things will be linked as normal
on the board. Just head to the description box and you will see all the links for everything.
So that's what I've treated myself to. I can hear that Sarah has come in. So if you can hear me,
I can't remember which one you got. So you told me to get this one and I love it. Is it the fan?
Yeah, it is the fan one. Yes. Yeah. So that one is great. And the reason I told you to get that
is because I always see you in slightly shorter necklaces. Yeah, it's really hard to get the
length just right. And it's just easy. Yeah. And then the shorter one as well, just to complement
that, like you said. Yeah, really nice. And that one is a good in-between on the statement pieces,
you know, from the Lucy Williams. Let me just go and get the Lucy Williams one and I'll show you.
There you go. There is the Lucy Williams one. You'll always see me in that. Yeah, I wear it.
It's my staple because you just need it once. Yeah, I just wear one. It is super easy to do
up and take off, which is great for us, but not for me when my three-year-old just takes it off
and then she wears it and she looks like a little gangster.
Princess costume and a big chunky. Oh, that is so sweet. So but if you look at the difference
there, just come a little bit closer to camera. There we go. So that one is a little bit chunkier
where you couldn't really wear that chunky one with that one because it just doesn't go
too much. But that's a nice sort of midway and goes really nice with the fan. Oh, you got the
hoops in. Oh, the everyday hoops. Yeah. Yeah. So those are the pieces of jewellery that we've
actually chosen for ourselves for once. How nice was it picking things for ourselves for once? I
reckon everybody thinks that we probably shop for ourselves and buy loads of clothes for ourselves,
but isn't that, is that the case or not? Um, it depends how many stag do's Alex has been on and
then I treat myself. So she obviously buys more than I do then is what she's saying.
Um, should we actually just start with showing outfits given the view? I'm just coming for the
car. Yeah, that's fine. You still look lovely. I'm assuming they're um Varley as well. Do you
know what? I treat, I did treat myself to Varley and they are so soft. I know. I told you. So soft.
You won't go back. Once you start with Varley um loungewear, you just can't seem to go back to
anything else. No. Um, so I have got on the jumpsuit. How many of these jumpsuits have I got
on? Seven. I haven't got seven. You've got, you've got the cream, you've got the brown,
you've got this one. Yes. You've got the green. Yes. Okay. So I've got, I've got at least three
or four, but this is my reality when it's only us two in the office today. We're not online style
until late this afternoon. So this is the type of thing that you will see us wearing all the time
when we are just doing the admin behind the scenes because the fabric is just so super soft. I think
it's called their super soft range. It is. But do you know what? I'm wearing these too much at the
school gate. I'm just wearing these. But you look really nice and coordinated. I know. But it's
because it's so easy. Yeah. I need to wear some. And also the way that you've just put your coat
over like that. And this is what I try and say to a lot of people that this sort of outfit can look
really nice out and about when you consider the overcoat. Yeah. Um, I'm going to put a picture in
of how I wore this the other day, actually with that cream short jacket. Yeah. That looked really
nice as well. I like the long, just because I feel like it just covers you. Yeah. Yeah. And
also I think when you have got a longer wool coat on, it always elevates whatever you've got
underneath it. Yeah. With the jewelry, you have to have it all together. I feel though, the jewelry,
the coat. Yes. Yeah. You have to have that everything going. So you just got the adidas
going on. I've just got some Birkenstocks, which, um, often it's just my slippers in the house as
well. So yeah, that is how we're starting off the day. Okay. So interesting one. Now we have got a
steel. No, yours is steel. Mine is splurge. Yours is definitely splurge. So mine did cost a little
bit more money, but the point is we've both created a very similar looking outfit. I'd say
yours is just that little bit more relaxed because it's a cardigan. Um, but actually probably more
relevant to your lifestyle. Yeah. At the moment. Cause you've got the little. I live in these jumpers.
Yeah. Yeah. It's lovely. Um, so my jeans cost 99 pounds and are from Mint Velvet.
They are gorgeous. They do feel lovely. Hold you in. Scoop you in really, really nicely on the
waistline, but they're not that dissimilar cause you look just as beautiful in your jeans. And
guess what? Come on. No fanny daggers. Seriously. I can lunge. And they are comfy. And 24 pounds.
So fanny daggers. Fanny daggers. So relevant. It is relevant actually. So, um, what we mean there
is, you know, when you wear your trousers and they just dig in around your private area, basically.
So, um, we obviously use that term. It's like every day we use it. Yeah, we do. We use it quite
loosely in the office because actually that's what makes jeans uncomfortable for us. For sure.
And I think with us two in particular, obviously you're tiny in comparison, but because we're both
wider around our hip area, but we've got smaller waistlines, we need our jeans quite tight. And then
they cut into you and it's very uncomfortable. Like in long journeys when we go out on client
visits. I had to get a bike. Yeah. Undo it all. Exactly. Um, but your, your jeans aren't giving
you that. I think they're like a quite a soft M2, whereas yours are super stiff. They are super stiff.
However, they're still not giving me that. So I don't know if it's just the shape of them,
but that's why they've kind of become my favorites. Yeah. And I've got them in the
grey as well. I will show you that in a moment. Um, but yours are how much? £25 from H&M. £25.
Mine were a hundred. Your jumper was? £35. And my top is? £120. £120. Um, it is beautiful though.
I'm going to come up closer. What about your earrings? Um, oh yeah, I've got, I've got my other
Messimer earrings in actually. Um, I should have shown you those at the start, but they're another
pair of statement earrings that I bought myself. And the reason why I've changed them for this
outfit and I've put my hair up is because the top is really busy, not busy in terms of color,
but just there's a lot going on here. So there's the big shoulders going on the pattern that you
can see. So this is where you would just change it up to maybe just a plain statement earring,
keep on just the little jewellery there underneath. Um, but yeah, it is a beautiful
top. It's actually got, oh, it's just come undone as well. It's actually got a hook and eye here,
so you can wear it more like a blaro sort of jacket, but I actually tuck it in because I
like to wear it more like a shirt rather than a jacket, but it's actually made as a jacket. Um,
but love this one as well. Great alternative, basically. I think it shows a really good idea
of how you can create a very similar look with a different budget, um, and with a different style
of dressiness. Suit your lifestyle. Suit your lifestyle. I'm conscious that my, um,
my fingers just popped out, so I'm holding it in. That's what I'm doing, but it has got a hook and
eye there. Oh, you can't see anything. Yeah, it's just, it's just popped out. Um, so there we go.
We've both got heels on as well, actually. So yours again are H&M, I believe, aren't they? Okay.
Mine are mint velvet again. Let me just show you. They are lovely though. They are lovely,
but they are more expensive, aren't they? So these were 159 and they are their western boots.
Really big, lovely heel on there, but chunky. So not walking on a stiletto,
but still give me height. There we go. And that is Sarah's heel. So really nice. Not too high,
a bit more than the kitten, but not really super high, but they look like they're premium. Yeah,
they are their leather. So I bet you they were probably a little bit more expensive,
even though they were still from H&M. Yeah. Make sure you have to, um, not weatherproof,
so get a nice spray. Yes. Yeah. Just to protect them. Um, okay. Onto the next thing for you.
Okay. So I am not looking very stylish. Sarah is looking... You're looking really practical.
Practical. Practical for the rain. Um, yeah. So, um, we said we're going to bring you the,
uh, real life wardrobe and this is what I had to buy myself this week. So I needed a new running
jacket. I showed it over on Instagram. So I'll put some images up of that. And instead of going
for the really tight running jacket that I usually go for, I wanted one that was going to go with
this outfit a little bit better. Yeah, for sure. So it's got the practical elements of being
waterproof and breathable when I am running or just doing errands. But as you can see right now,
I can put it over a pair of leggings and the jumper and it still looks just as nice. So there's
my element of comfort and practicality. But I think you're probably just as comfy. I'm so,
oh, so comfy. Yeah. It's like wearing pajamas to work. Yes. Yeah. And I think that is probably,
you've hit the pajama word. So some people could say that it does look a bit pajama-y. Well,
it doesn't if we've, we've spoke about this. This is an investment piece because this outfit is
actually a four in a one around outfit. Girl mass. No, it is. It truly is. Can I, can I explain?
Okay. So, okay. This is going to be the best explanation of girl mass. Well,
I'm going to justify the whole outfit. Okay. So you can wear it like this,
you know, cash, sambas, easy, comfy, or just pop this on, you know, jumper.
And track. Yeah. So two outfits. Um, okay. You could wear your black trousers,
like a jeans. As a shimmer. Yeah. How many is that? That's three. Okay. Definitely had,
did I say this one? Yeah, the whole outfit as in it's four. Um, pajamas. Like you could just
stay in this all day. Yes. And how about heels? Oh yeah. Pair of heels as well. Yeah. Five. We'll,
we'll lock that up for you. We'll put a picture at the side. Um, but I think actually this is a
really good example to show them how this is casual and that is casual. Yet probably a lot
of the audience wouldn't assess that as being casual because it's a nicer fabric and it feels
more elevated, but actually you're just as comfortable in it. You're going to get soaked
in the rain. I will get soaked. I will be very smug in my rain jacket and my coat. Um, but yeah,
so just to give you an idea really of, um, the different types of casual that you can put in
your wardrobe. My jumper, by the way, and my leggings are both from Lululemon. Um,
buttery soft. Yeah, they are so, so lovely. So I love a Lululemon for that. You've got the
arm holes there and this, this jumper actually came in the longer version as well. Again,
I'll put some pictures up and in the longer version, you were able to pull it over like
that and create that nice waistband, which makes everybody's waist looks loads smaller. So if you
don't follow us on Instagram, by the way, um, that's the clips I'm putting up right now. And
we do daily sort of outfits and styling tips and everything else on there as well, don't we? So,
um, come over and have a look at us and you'll see more of this type of stuff on a daily basis,
but let's get changed and see what else we've got. Okay. Okay. So next up, um, by the way,
these outfits haven't been planned. I think that's what's happening. We're starting to
merge into one another, aren't we? I just copy you. Yeah. Um, the reason we've got these on
right now. So my cardigan isn't new, but, um, I've got this gray jumper and you've
already treated yourself to it. This is my first bit of cashmere and it's my birthday
in like three weeks time. And you used our code at the time, didn't you? So it wasn't so expensive.
Notice how we're doing all of this for the purpose of, um, Alex, our husband,
when he actually watches the video. He loves it. You might start to see some male styling coming
up. So, but we won't tell them too much about that yet. Um, but here we go. So you'll have
seen my cardigan before it's Lily silk. The knit is just gorgeous. It is not itchy in any way
whatsoever. And you've got the jumper equivalent on it. Um, now I haven't arrived, unfortunately,
but I've ordered the V neck in this to come through and it's in that same gray color.
So I've got high hopes for that. So I'll show you that on the channel as well. But should we just
step back? Because, um, for me, it's my jeans that are new in the wardrobe. So these are another
pair of mint velvet jeans. I just find that the mint velvet jeans, yes, they're a little bit more
expensive, but they're no more expensive. You've got Levi's on, have you? I went for the ribcage
as well. Again, really comfy. Yeah, really comfy. Um, although with the ribcage, I would say that
if you are bigger around the waist, they're not so good. You're better going off of the straight
leg. Yeah. But if you are bigger on the hips and smaller on the waist, then the ribcage from Levi's
are really, really good. Soft. Um, yeah. They're really nice. Um, these ones, however, would fit
probably most shapes, I would think. I've got them on with just a little Marks and Spencer's
heel at the moment and I've bought them to wear with a heel as well. I think, um, I had this at
the weekend with, um, two of my clients actually who did a double session together and they were
trying to get the same pair of jeans working for everything in their lifestyle. Yeah, you can't do
that. You can't really. We can do it to a certain degree by getting little kitten heels at the same
size as a platform trainer. Yes. And a winter boot. But still, I think you need a variety of
different styles. Especially with the white loaf trousers. I wouldn't want to wear these with a
trainer. No. So a boot or a, you know, a stiletto ankle. Exactly. That's a really good point actually
where you have got the straight cropped on. Literally they suit everybody. The boot with a
nice shaft on them. Yes. The nice tight around the ankle. I don't know. We're very immature,
sorry, when we are together. A good shaft on the boot is really good. But the point is the ankle
razor like that suits everybody. Yeah, for sure. And I know a lot of you say, I don't want to show
my ankles. Well, that's fine in the winter because you've got a boot that goes in between and you can
wear your socks as normal. So if you go to buy any type of pair of jeans, I would buy an ankle
straight cropped and then it's about perhaps putting an additional pair in that are maybe
your going out jeans or something on those lines. Basically, let me summarize that again. So there
are three different types of jeans that seem to be working a lot on all of our clients at the
moment. These are the rib cage from Levi's. They do the equivalent from Levi's, but in a straight
leg. So we will put those on the board for you. Then you've got the Bianca jeans from Mango,
which are pretty much the same as these, but cheaper. 35.99. They wash well. Yeah. And then
you've got a River Island one, which is a wider cut and those three seem to be really good. Yeah,
Antonia wore them. She did in a couple of videos ago. But again, these mint velvet ones, if you've
got the budget, this is how I elevate a client's wardrobe. I'd probably just move them onto a mint
velvet rather than the H&M because these are going to keep their shape longer and they give
a slightly better silhouette as well. Well, this feels a bit strange without my laces. I bought
another jumper from Marks and Spencers and it's, do you know what? I bought it because I liked the
Lily Silks one and yeah, fraction of the price, but really easy, super comfortable. It's got a
gorgeous gray knit and yeah, you can either wear it with jeans or with some lounge wear. I thought
it was a super snug jumper to wear that was a bit more affordable. Okay. So neither of our outfits
are related in any way today, but they are genuinely new pieces that we both bought for
ourselves. These are like Christmas. Yeah. Yeah. I really like them because you don't usually wear
a lot of green, do you? You look quite neutral. I like a neutral. I'm going to be brave. Yeah. I
think they're really nice. Me and Em. Me and Em. Again. Yes. Beautiful cut. And the reason they're
flattering is because of the low drop. Um, what do we call that pleat? The pleat. The pleat there.
But this bit is really flat. So lies really flat. Um, and then it's always flattering when it's,
the pleat is much lower down. Love the color. Flat pockets. The material's heavy too. I think
that helps with the drape. It does. Yeah. Well it gives structure, doesn't it? When it hangs.
Um, really nice with the trainer as well. Yeah. And I think the jumper, the neutral jumper to
tone down that color. Yes. Yeah. Lovely. And I think that's where people are often scared of
color because it feels like it's a really big statement. Um, whilst you look lovely, it doesn't
feel like, um, too dressy or too out there. It feels like that could be your very easily,
your everyday wardrobe. Um, with the trainers and the chunky jumper. Yeah. Obviously we'd put heels
with it and start dressing it up if we wanted to make it more, um, of a statement piece, but I love
it just like that. And I would wear it with like a bomber jacket, I think, just so it doesn't, um,
you know, it cuts the waist. A cropped one, that would be really nice, wouldn't it? Yep. And myself,
so I have got on my Suzanne jacket. Sorry, I definitely just fell over. I'm going to leave
that in. Okay. So I've got on a skirt from Marks and Spencer's, some new little brown boots,
which I think have sold out. So if they have, we will link some different ones for you.
Suede is really, really big. I had this will jacket from Suzanne maybe four or five months ago,
and it keeps coming in and out of stock. So we will link it for you, but if it is out of stock
right now, don't worry, it will come back in. But what I like about this outfit is that you've
got all neutral winter whites, and then you've just added one other color. So if a client had
maybe just a normal brown coat and brown boots or a black coat and brown boots, in fact, I think
we've got loads of pictures of me wearing it with a blazer. The point is, if you keep the middle
bits neutral, then you can add in whatever color you've got. Yeah, so just like a neutral classic
base color would look really, really nice. So yeah, there we go. That's me for my sort of
casual smart outfit. So my outfit isn't new. I just thought I would put it on because
Sarah's come with a lovely new outfit, and I thought we'd be able to show you the contrast
between the two. Yeah, can I just quickly say, this isn't mine. This is cashmere. I nicked this
from the studio. What's it called, the kit, the styling kit? The styling kit. So anyone watching,
it's just the trousers I've bought. Okay, all right. Just putting them out there. Putting
that out there just in case your husband's still watching. Okay, so this is the styling kit,
okay. So a styling kit is what we take with us when we go out on client visits. So every client
that we go to will have like a little bit of the rail of key items that we know are going to suit
pretty much most people and really allow us to bring everything together, don't they? Yeah,
for sure. It consists mostly of white tops. All the neutral tops. Yeah, because nobody has enough
neutral tops. Neutral shoes. Neutral shoes, and if we've got those two items on the rail,
we know we can pull everything else together. So hopefully that's a hint to everybody out there
that you always need more white in your tops and you always need less patterns. But anyway,
let's look at the stripe. I like the stripe. We like the stripe, don't we? No. Nice save.
Nice save. Okay, all right. So I am wearing the wide leg trouser from
Me & Em. I have shown these loads of times before. They've got the zip pockets. Have
you always got the zip pockets? Yeah, the secret little. Yeah, they're really nice. Right,
it's nice and flat. Yeah, now how do you feel? Obviously, Sarah is tiny, but she still feels
bigger on a hip area, don't you? Yeah, I think because these trousers have the clever little
detailing at the front, the seam. Yeah, it just feels really nice to wear. I like them though
with the heel. Yes, just makes me feel a bit more elongated. And I love it how you've combined the
heel with a cashmere jumper. Yeah, and it's like a sandwiching effect. So I've gone for the light
with a darker in the middle, exactly. But obviously, you've brought in the
color of the stripe there at the side as well, which brings the whole outfit together
in the jumper. So she hasn't gone for a black jumper, for example. She's gone for the lighter
color. And I think what's really important here is that a lot of clients that we see,
as soon as they put a heel on with a pair of trousers like this, they think they've got to go
haven't they? And that can lead you down the road of quite an old-fashioned corporate look.
Yeah, it's quite dated. Maybe, what, like a white blouse? No, it's not that the white blouse is
wrong, because I think that would still look nice, but it's just more of a polished look,
the blouse is, where often most of us want to be casual, smart, rather than
polished all the time. Yeah, it's quite like...
Yeah, it's sort of very, you know... This is more my lifestyle.
Exactly. And this could be more my lifestyle as well, because I've got on
the classic V-neck t-shirt. This is the one that we use on all clients. We showed it over
in our basics video last week or the week before. I'm wearing this in...
What size is that? A medium. Yes, it is. It's a medium.
We should know that because we always go up, don't we? Why we like these V-necks, look how
long the arms are for a start. So that hides a lot of people's bingo wings and when they're
conscious of that. Also, the seams here sit quite nicely on the shoulder. They're not halfway down
the arms like that. The V-neck is low enough to be a little bit sassy, a little bit sassy,
but it doesn't actually show the cleavage. And the drape on it is just really nice as well.
Obviously, you could wear the t-shirt, I could wear the cashmere, but it just shows you that
both styles go. These trousers, elasticated waist as well. Yes, yeah, really comfortable.
Yeah, love an elasticated waist. Yes, you can get M&M in America. They've got a couple of stores
I know now in New York, but they also ship internationally. And if you are looking for
more of a premium brand in really nice fabrics with really good cuts that are very flattering,
then M&M are great. And it isn't an advert, by the way. It's not an advert. We just love them.
And did you say the length? Did you say that? Oh, did you? No, I didn't. Okay. Yeah,
they do different lengths. So they do petite, a regular, and a longer length. Or maybe just
petite and regular. Definitely petite and regular. I don't think so. But in both of these,
we're both in a regular length. Yes. And you're 5 foot 5 and 164 centimeters, which is 5 foot 5
and a half. I foot 3 and a half. And we're both in a regular length, if that helps you in any way.
Okay, so next up for me are a pair of trousers that I showed last week on Nikki and myself.
The basic one. Yeah, and I've ended up keeping myself because I really like them. Do you know
Yes, I agree. Actually, they are really nice and the refraction of the price. So flat fronted,
again. Again, the pleats here start much lower down. So it's really flattering on a wide leg
trouser. Got a double belt here. But the thing that is really properly new for me is my bag.
Love this. So suede is really, really big this season. So I've treated myself to this
lovely suede, really drapey, flexible, big bag. There we go. Make sure you spray it because it's
suede. But yeah, that's the main thing for me out of this outfit that I bought. The other thing,
getting old. It's quite advantageous having somebody here to film it. Usually that would
be like loads of me cutting and editing all that bit off as I fall over. But we'll just keep it in
today. And so here are a pair of shoes that I also kept from another video. And they're from
River Island. Lovely little kitten heel. And that's what I've got on with these trousers today.
And I definitely recognize the jacket. I haven't bought any of this. This, again,
is all from your styling kit. Oh, okay. So you've nicked this off the styling rail, basically.
It looks nice. I thought it was very generous. It does. She does say that we can help ourselves.
I do. Very generous. I do. They can always help themselves if they really like something.
It is. It looks lovely on you. Thank you. Very, very nice. The trousers, the Goela ones. Yeah,
they are. Yeah, they're really good. Yeah, really nice. Courtney trousers. Did you know what? I was
running out getting that bag. I was so disheveled. She was. She went over to the house to grab it for
me. So they're the Goela black wide leg trousers. Flat fronted again, but no pleats. So just a
straight dart. So that's really useful if you've got a larger waistline. These are very, very
flattering. You've got the option of the belt hook there, but they haven't actually got a waist
band as such, which makes them flattering over a larger stomach. We have also found another pair
of black trousers in Lululemon. They are on the board already. Are they? Okay. I'll put a clip
again of me in them. I put them on when I was doing something for Instagram and I was really,
really impressed. I didn't know Lululemon did work wear and they fitted really well. I went
true to size in them. So I was a size eight in them in Lululemon. Goela, what are these? UK 10?
I think they're a 10. They're a 10. Yeah. Oh, the other thing about Goela is because we mentioned
Goela in a video a couple of weeks ago, and there's quite a lot of chat in the discussions
about their returns being really difficult. But actually in the UK, they're not really
difficult at all because they've got a return centre here in the UK. So for me,
the delivery came within two or three days and yeah, we haven't had any trouble returning.
Well, I've kept all of it. Yeah. Well, you did off your...
Yeah. Yes. So we haven't had any trouble, but if I can say this quite bluntly,
it's your responsibility to look at the returns because I can't keep an eye on returns for every
single shop for every single country. So for the UK, it is absolutely fine, but please look into
that yourself if you're interested in any of these items. And that goes for anything that we show on
the channel. We are just here giving our ideas and our advice. We don't work for these brands,
so we're not part of their customer service team or anything on those lines. Okay. So this outfit
here is not new in my wardrobe. I have worn it to death. I've probably had it maybe six months
or so, but I've got every variation of these trousers and the different style of tops that
you can think about. And in the comments a couple of days ago from last video, somebody asked me,
what was my most worn item? And I'd say, this has to be up there with one of them.
So this suit and the variations of it, like the different tops and everything,
stays out here in the dressing room, which is behind us. And at the end of every day,
when I come in from a client visit, if I've been online styling all day or teaching or whatever,
this is what I put on. And I would say, if you are in the market for a casual outfit that you
still want to feel nice in from a luxurious point of view, a drape point of view, just to feel really
nice and not slobby, then these are the tracksuit sets that you should buy. Honestly, you won't
regret it. It is so super soft. I think people think that I work for Vale or this is an
advertisement or they're paying me to say this or anything on those lines. That is categorically
not the case. But I just know that every client that wears these always says how much they love
them. They come in lots of different colorways, so you don't have to have the white. But I'd say
I probably wash this at least two or three times a week. And yeah, the quality has remained
throughout. So I just thought I would share that one with you. The other one, to answer that lady
in the comments, a long wool coat. So for winter, it's a long wool coat, a shorter coat, and then
some sort of rain practical coat for myself. And then it's a tracksuit like this, and they're
probably the most worn outfits. Okay, so Sarah's just very quickly changed her cardigan to another
one. I don't know, I bought five cardigans. Five cardigans, did you? Including all of them? Yeah,
because they de-bubble. All these ones won't because I've got a de-bubbler. But yeah,
they were a bargain. Yeah, they are really nice. This is the one that we showed in Camel the other
day. Do you want to just come a little bit closer? So this is actually the Marts and Spencers one,
drapes really nicely. And if you were to look at the price difference between this one and this one,
this is... £29.50? £29.50, something on those lines. Shall we have a quick look? Yeah, £29.50.
And you're wearing it in a size small. I actually wear that one in a size medium because I'm hopping
off the shoulder a little bit. And I imagine this one from LilySilk is a lot more. So yeah,
that's a great one. I know that all our clients are really, really liking that. Now, in terms of
other things that I think you're going to like, I've got a surprise. Do you? What have you been
lusting after? Oh, did you get the Philips steamer? The steamer? Did you just say that?
I've got something for the office that everybody has been wanting. It's not a steamer. I was going
to say, open me for love and beauty.
And it is the Charlotte Tilbury advent calendar. So my daughter has already spotted it.
So I told her that she's not allowed it. Can you hold it a second? There we go. That's the beauty
that is the Charlotte Tilbury calendar. So you actually save, I think it's like £78, £80 on all
this because they are all, there we go, you can touch it up so you can see. Shall I show you
what's in? I won't go through every single one. In fact, we'll put a list, we can put a picture up,
can't we? Of what is in here. But there you've got Pillow Talk lipstick. It's a nice neutral
colour. Yeah, really nice neutral colour. What else have we got? What door do we want? Are they
numbered? Oh no, they're not actually numbered. The big one. Oh, what's that? Is that the magic
cream? That is like a potion in a great way. So what does that do then? I have no idea.
You really want this. I'm still going. It's an eye cream. It's an eye cream. I believe so.
It's my friend Claire, she actually swears by this. Yeah, it's like a hydration cream
and moisturiser. Lovely. Okay, so you can have that one. I thought every day when everybody
comes in, you can all open up a different one. Oh, that's a smaller one, isn't it? That's not
full size. No, is that full size, is it? Oh, okay. So that's the pull-up lashes one. This
is going to be boring for people. I'll do one more. What's that? Lip oil. Oh, I do know about
their magic oil. There we go. Lovely. So yes, I don't know if we can link that. If we can,
I will link it for you. It makes such a lovely present. Yeah, it does make a really nice present.
So if you've got anybody that you want to treat, I forget the exact prices. I think it might be
about £150, £160, but you save £70 on all the items and we'll put a picture up of everything
that's in there. But yeah, happy office. There we go. Merry Christmas. Thank you. You're welcome.
Okay, just myself again for a moment. So I just thought I would show you white t-shirts. We
mentioned them all the time. I wear them under everything. So I was about to show you that this
is probably one of the most worn items in my wardrobe. It is a John Lewis cashmere jumper.
I've got it in a UK size 14, but I always wear a white t-shirt underneath it. So the white t-shirts
that we wear are either from COS, Arquette, or in the case of this one, it's a Marks & Spencer's
Autograph range. So I will link them because I know they sell out so quickly. So we'll link
all three. But if you want to know about this one in particular, this one is from Autograph.
The seams are right there on my shoulders. There's enough width in the arm that they're not too tight.
But most importantly, when you put the jumper on, you can still see that neckline. If they're too
flimsy around the neckline, then you lose it under the jumper. On a quick afterthought from me,
the Marks & Spencer's Autograph t-shirt, you need to go up by at least two sizes. I think I went up
by three sizes to get a nicer drape. Otherwise they come really tight fitting and they look
really dated. So yeah, make sure you do that. I'll just show you my jeans whilst I've got them on.
I think on camera, these jeans show up like they are really white down the middle. I think that's
got something to do with the lighting in here because they aren't. The actual color wash of
them is really nice. And the advantage of these is that you can wear them as a cropped version
or a long version. There you go. There it is as a cropped version. So all I have done is literally
turn them over. Now I know a lot of you won't like the cuff as big as that, but you can make
it as big or as small as you like by simply folding that bit under a little bit more.
So something on those lines, for example, I'm hoping you can see that far away. Or you can just
cut your jeans off to whatever level you want. So they're just a straight ankle grazer without the
turn up on. But when you buy them long enough to begin with, at least it gives you that flexibility
between the two different styles. And just to show you, I've been finishing that outfit off
with this Borg coat from Borg, we think is how you say it. But just a big, nice, cozy coat like that
is how I've been finishing that look off for our sort of early autumn weather. But these are
actually super, super warm, but they are selling out really quickly. Keep going back to the link
and double checking literally every day because the stock comes in and out. Or you can put your
email address in and they will actually alert you when the stock arrives. So once again, we've
run out of time to go through every outfit. So I thought I would just summarize what we used on
Instagram last week, which shows you all of the different outfits that I actually wore to
different events. So starting off with a very neutral palette there of the denim jeans being
the common theme, but then just adding in the camels and the beiges, then the trench coat,
the cashmere, depending on the weather conditions. Next, you can see I wore the same black jeans. I
think it was for three or four days on the trot. I just changed my footwear again based on the
weather conditions. But by keeping both my blazer and my cashmere jumpers in neutral or stripe
patterns, I was able to make many different outfit combinations from the same base layer.
Then I started to go down the color route a little bit. I had a photo shoot. So these are some of the
outfits that I wore for the photo shoot. So starting off with this gorgeous Marks and Spencer's
like aqua greeny blue type of a velvet suit. This suit keeps selling out. They do keep coming back
online, so it's worth going back and checking regularly. They also had a lot of this stock in
store as well. And then the last two looks, I've got the same pair of jeans on. They are the same
mint velvet jeans that I wore in the video, but I added a bit of color in with the red cardigan.
And then on the other day, I added in just a blazer and a white t-shirt and picked up on the
accent color of burgundy. So that's it for today. I hope you found that useful. Remember, we have
got 15% off our styling courses, but that's both courses. So how to become a personal stylist,
but also styling for yourself. So the code for that will be below and it'll also be in
the description box, but we will see you again next week. Thanks very much for watching.
