cute little dog, the Corgi, which is one of the world's most popular breeds nowadays,
but is still unknown in our country.
For those of you who are familiar with it, it's because it's the favourite breed of the English Queen Elizabeth.
Let's go through the 7 points that a Corgi buyer has to consider very carefully before buying.
In the last point, it will be revealed whether the Corgi is an ideal choice for a beginner dog,

1. The short history of the Corgi
Even medieval chronicles have mentioned a short-legged, extremely ferocious,
and agile Welsh breed, which was used for almost all use,
and could be the ancestors of the Corgi in every way.
At one time, there were two breeding centres in Wales,
Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire,
where the choice of the two Corgi breeds was made.
This is how the better-known, smaller Pembroke Welsh Corgi was born,
which will be discussed in this episode,
as well as the slightly larger, stronger Cardigan Welsh Corgi.
You can hear about the differences between the two breeds in our detailed breed introduction,
which you can find on our channel.
In the 20th century, the popularity of the Corgi continued to grow,
but it became really popular when these special little dogs
She came to the first Corgi in 1933,
2. The personality of the Corgi
The English often describe the Corgi as a big dog in a small package,
and this is true in relation to them,
with the exalting meaning and intelligence of the Corgi,
and at least so much with ego and will.
In addition to being able to easily fit into almost any environment,
from the apartment to the large area,
the dogs, which are still in the depths of their souls,
always try to find acceptance in themselves.
Although they seem to be not lazy at all,
they are much more of a self-reliant working dog in their case.
3. The size and fur of the Corgi
The Corgi is a not too large breed,
with a typical height of 25-30 cm,
and its weight is no more than 10-14 kg.
It has a thick coat that effectively resists the weather,
and its lower fur is also well developed,
so it requires frequent fur grazing.
Its fur can be of several colors,
most often autumn brown and red,
but there are also black-brown, black-white and blue colors.
4. The ability of the Corgi
Since the Corgi is a working dog,
it learns extremely quickly,
and because it is incredibly gluttonous,
it is perfectly motivated with gluttony.
In addition, almost all Corgi owners and breeders mention
that they can be very gluttonous and self-sufficient,
so early socialization is important in their case,
and of course the dog's care can not hurt them.
If they are not used to this in time,
the Corgis are willing to wag their tail
at the children living with them in the same house,
pinching their tail to put them in the right direction.
This is their instinctive behavior, but it can be corrected.
5. The Corgi's movement requirement
Despite its short legs,
the Corgi is a moving dog that specifically requires movement.
Despite its small size, it is able to run fast,
and while wagging its tail in a good condition,
it can also be a good companion in dog sports.
They often appear on the agility tracks as a dog dancing partner,
but to this day they stand still as a walking dog,
which is difficult for an outsider to believe
until they see them at work.
Due to special body shapes,
it is gradually necessary to pay attention
to the color differences in their movements,
from which it is worth protecting them.
6. The Corgi's health and life expectancy
The Corgi is a healthy and long-lived species,
and not few individuals living to the age of 15 are around it.
As we mentioned, it is an extremely phalanx species,
so they are only willing to wag their tail,
which requires constant attention from the owners.
Visplasia and degenerative myelopathy,
which is a type of B0 disease,
Of course, the right breeders take care of their dogs.
7. And finally, the usual last question.
Is it true that the Corgi is a beginner dog?
In our opinion, the answer to this question is clearly yes.
Until recently, they have found their place in the world as family dogs,
and the coexistence with the family has changed the work of the former breeders.
In addition, they are also particularly effective markers,
with a deep voice compared to their body size,
they always indicate a stranger's approach in time.
In addition, they are definitely human-centered,
eager for human society, intelligent little dogs,
with whom you can live together perfectly,
if their socialization has taken place in the right time and manner.
Their education and upbringing is not the simplest,
but those who spend the right amount of time and energy with them,
and go to dog school with them,
can find an ideal four-legged journey in the Corgi.
In the next part of the series,
we will talk about an Eastern Mastiff breed,
a Japanese war dog, the Toza Inu.
