It was a surprise and I had all the martinis for everyone and I can't wait to see the photos so I
can remember the night." Scarlett Johansson got the surprise of a lifetime for her milestone birthday.
The Oscar-nominated actress, who turned 40 earlier this month, revealed on Live with Kelly and Mark
that her husband, Colin Jost, threw her an epic bash. In fact, she said the party was so much fun
He's very good at gift giving. He got me a beautiful, he always buys beautiful jewelry.
He threw me a humongous bash this year and it was a surprise and I had all the martinis for everyone
and I can't wait to see the photos so I can remember the night. But it was just, it was
it was like a this is your life kind of, it was just incredible. So many of my friends and
colleagues came from all over the place and it was just, it was magical and he put it all together.
Then, while gushing over the Saturday Night Live star, Scarlett playfully teased that the comedian
may have other tricks up his sleeve. He is a very, very, very great guy. I'm extremely lucky. He's a
kind person and he's hilarious and thoughtful and loving and he's a great dad and I love him. I feel
very, very lucky. But, you know, he's also, he's got his naughty side, you know, that's why, you
know, he keeps it interesting. Scarlett also talked about the special occasion when she stopped by
Today with Hoda and Jenna, admitting she is still wrapping her head around the fun night.
We had a big party and it was like a this is your life. It was just, it was surreal. I'm still
processing it actually. So it was a look back from the beginning? It was. It was so many people that
I just hadn't seen in a long time and colleagues and co-stars and friends and like my high school
friends were there and, you know, but every, it was just, it was really wonderful to see everybody
that I loved all together loving each other. Like it was just, it was so fun. The mom of two then
revealed how turning 40 has been liberating for her. I think there's a stigma about it, at least
when I was a kid. Everybody that's 40 when you're a kid seems like forever away, right? And then all
of a sudden you're there and you realize, oh wait, I actually feel the same but also different because
I don't care about what anybody else thinks and how liberating is that. Doesn't that feel so good?
Isn't it great? Is that your era right now to not give a? I mean, yeah, I think, I hope so. I mean,
it's only been three days, but I feel like I'm sitting great in it.
