Bola bola! Bola bola! Bola bola! Look at that!
All right, we are back you guys. We are in the beautiful, beautiful snow. The snow of Idaho,
the crispy, crunchity snow. Check it out. Listen, I don't know if you can hear this, but
wow, yeah, we're back at it you guys. Winter camping and among that, to make it even better,
we've got a new hot tent to try out. We've got an all new tent from Naturehike. This is their new,
uh, what is it called? Dune? Yeah, Dune 7.6 hot tent. Some of you guys have probably already
seen it. I think Luke from, uh, Outdoor Gear Reviews has already done a video on it and
it looks amazing. It really does. I'm really excited about this. So enough of me chit-chatting,
let's stomp out this ground real quick and get to setting up our hot tent.
It's been a while since I've done the bomb shuffle. Oh, this is a fairly large tent actually.
I set this up at home already, um, to check it out and I really like the material on it.
It also has that, like, reflective, like, inner coating.
no center pole or, or anything that you have to, like, hope it'll stand. It just kind of
stands on its own. Tipi tents are cool, but they're not as cool as a freestanding tent,
in my opinion. In my opinion. Look at all this room. Oh, okay. We got to stake it out.
There are so many doors to this thing. You can open it, like, wide open. Look at that.
I got doors galore. This is nice. There's even a door on the backside.
This thing is cool. Just, like, wide open. The whole thing just kind of opens up. It's so, uh,
so unique in that way. There is an inner tent to this, so we'll set that up right here.
And that's pretty simple too. All right. There's the inner shelter. It's in there.
Looks nice. Everything's nice and tight. Wow. It's nice. Nice and big. Look at that.
where the stove jack is in relations to this tent. Um, the inner tent's kind of close to this, so
I didn't have very many options on how I could set up this stove. I could turn it this way and
have the door, but then the door would swing probably into my inner tent. I don't like that.
I don't know. Maybe if I would have brought a different stove, maybe one of the longer ones,
it would have been better. But we have what we have, and I think it's going to work.
Now, I did bring some, uh, some wood, but that's it. That's all I got. So we will have to go chop
up some wood. We're going to have it for the rest of the night because I don't think this is going
did scout out some trees. It's hard to find the dead ones. The bark's coming off of it
and, uh, that's a fire pit underneath the snow, and here's a nice chopping block. So
that is a nice thing to find. That should help out. That should definitely make things easier,
having a chopping block. All right, we're ready for a fire. I've got my kindling all chopped up.
Go ahead and stack that in there.
See if we can't find, see if we can't make ourselves a nice little toaster fire.
Okay, looks like she's going pretty good. I'll close her up, see how it does now.
All right, we've got that fire going, and man, it feels good in here already. It is currently
31 degrees outside, 31 degrees Fahrenheit, and it's 46 degrees Fahrenheit in here,
which for my Celsius friends, that's zero degrees Celsius and eight degrees Celsius inside. The time
is not correct. It's actually an hour ahead right now because I haven't set it for daylight savings,
so that means it's only five o'clock right now. Sun's been gone for quite a while,
but man, it feels good to have all this wood chopped, and it's nice wood.
It's really nice. It's a little wet from the snow, but it's drying off,
and it's going to be a good night. So I did bring my fan. So my fan is running up there,
and it's trying to push the air up and around, and I think it's going to work really well.
You guys always tell me to bring a fan, and I typically forget, but I didn't this time.
So there it is. I'm having it actually blow up and kind of push the air around.
Is that a better idea? I'm not sure. That's at least what we do at home with our ceiling fan.
I don't know. Actually, that might feel better, pushing it down like that.
We'll try it both ways. All I know is it's toasty in here.
Oh, guys, it got hot fast. It got hot really fast. Well, it's working really well,
really well. We are upwards of 78 degrees Fahrenheit right now on the inside, which is
25 degrees Celsius, and it's chilly out. It's 32 degrees outside right now,
zero degrees Celsius, and it is toasty, really toasty. So I've just been prepping wood,
pulling the bark, and knocking some of the snow off, and the wood's working really well.
It's a nice wood. It's better than the pine. I don't even know what it is.
It's definitely not pine. I feel like it's a hardwood, whatever that tree was. It's working
really well. So I need to cool it down a little bit, and then we are going to start dinner.
I've got an amazing recipe, you guys. I've never had this before. I'm following a recipe that I
and it's called bola bola. It is Filipino meatballs, and they look so delicious. Never
had them before, but they look like something that I would really, really enjoy. I really like
my Filipino food. It's delicious. So once again, I'm following a recipe. If it's not authentic,
I'm sorry, but I'm just winging it, having a good time. I just need to damper that stove
down a little bit. I'll kind of damper that there. Go ahead and close this off.
That's a spicy fire. I do have a hole in my tent, though, already.
Bummer. All right. First thing we got to do is we're going to grate up an onion.
Don't touch the ice. That onion was powerful.
Now we got a carrot. Now we add some garlic. Okay, now I'm just adding ingredients in no
particular order. We've got breadcrumbs, panko breadcrumbs. I've got a tablespoon of soy sauce,
two teaspoons of oyster sauce. We're just going to kind of wing this one. That looks about right.
And we've got two teaspoons of fish sauce, premium fish sauce. I'm kind of just winging this.
That's probably good. I'm doing this kind of funky. It's because my hands are going to get
dirty here in just a minute. Trying to add all the ingredients I can before everything gets crazy,
crazy messy, because now we add ground pork. Oh, boy. There we go. There's our pork.
Now we mix it all together. See? I told you it was going to get messy.
Oh, boy. Oh, look at that. Doesn't that look tasty? Okay, now we're supposed to make them
into little tiny, little tiny, little meatballs. There we go. There's a meatball. Look at that
nice little meatball. Hopefully I'm not making them too big. I've got peanut oil.
What are you guys' thoughts on peanut oil? Last time I used canola,
I was told that stuff is terrible for you. And you know what? I think you're right.
Probably not the best. So hopefully, hopefully peanut oil is better. Not sure really exactly
how much. About two cups. I guess that's, maybe that's good. Got to heat that up to 350, I think.
Somewhere around there. Oh, man. Look at that. Look at all of them meatballs.
That's enough for an army right there. Way too much for me. But we'll see what we can do.
I can always take some home tomorrow, too. Or eat it for lunch. Yeah, that's what I'll do.
I'm excited for this one. It's going to be tasty. Well, upon looking at the recipe,
it said that the meatballs should be a lot smaller than what I had. So
I went ahead and made them smaller. And I have way more now. Way more than I need.
Here we go. Hopefully I don't make a huge mess. It's working.
I'll go ahead and drop another one in. It's going to drop the temperature of the oil.
Bola bola bola bola bola bola bola. Look at that. All right, we got eight of them in there.
See how that does. Oh, yeah. That one's good. Oh, man. Look at those.
Oh, boy. Look at that. Look at that. It's a nice little bola bola. Oh, it's hot.
Look at that. Bola bola. Look at all of them. So many of them. Oh, you guys,
it's going to be so good. That is a perfect little bola bola. Look at it. Nice and hot.
Oh, steamy, too. Oh, boy. And I've got some sweet chili sauce to go with it,
as well as I do have the rice as well. Oh, yeah. I'm excited for this.
Okay, before we can eat, we must bless this meal. A little oily, a little greasy.
Father, Lord, thank you so much for this wonderful time. Lord, this is my favorite time of the year,
coming out here and just seeing this beautiful, beautiful snow. Lord, the landscape, it's just,
it's such a reminder of just the beauty that you create and how you can change it from one thing to
the next. And I just thank you so much for that. Father, this world needs you more than ever.
And I just pray that we will be faithful stewards to help spread your gospel throughout this world.
Father, be with the family as I'm away from them. Keep them safe tonight. Bring me back to them once
again tomorrow. Lord, I thank you so much for this food, and I'm so excited to try it.
Bless it to my body. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. Oh, boy, you guys. Oh, man. I am so excited for this.
Bola bola. It is going to be tasty. Got to get some of that sweet chili sauce in there.
All right, I'm just going right in, and we're just going to try it in the sweet chili sauce.
Oh, man. That is amazing. Wow. Oh, man, that is good. That is super good. I love the flavor of that.
It's got a lot of them. You got the onion, garlic. Then you got like the oyster and like fish sauce,
which is actually really good. I don't usually like fishy things, but I like it like this.
I'm telling you, this is good. I don't think I'm going to have any problem eating all of these,
but I really should. I really should. A little bit of rice, a little bit of bola bola.
Oh, man. Something I will definitely make again. Oh, yeah, I forgot. I have a drink to try.
I got this from one of our Universal Yum boxes, and I'm not sure where it's from exactly.
I can't remember, but it's a pine bud drink. I don't know if it's going to be good.
Purified water, cane sugar, citric acid, pine concentrate, vitamin C, sodium citrate,
pine flavor. I'm allergic to trees, so hopefully this doesn't make me sick. Oh, boy.
I don't know about this. Kind of smells like pine saw. That's really weird. That is really,
really weird. There's something about this that just seems so wrong because,
like I said, it smells like pine saw. I'd clean the floor with this.
No. No, no, no, no. No, that does not pair well with bola bola at all.
I think I'll pour that back to where it belongs with the pine trees.
You just are not good. Not good at all. Back to the earth you go.
Sorry, guys. That's not for me. All right, we're doing a dessert.
This one comes from Susie. Hopefully, I do this correctly. It is a pie iron dessert.
You're supposed to use it over the campfire, but you know what? You know what? I'm going to just
put it over the stove, the wood stove. Put a little butter on each side of this.
Now we've got some cream cheese filling. Oh, boy. A little bit of cream cheese,
blueberry filling, like pie filling, basically. Oh, this is going to be good. I'm going to put
that on top. Cover it like this. Now we're going to hope that our little top piece will be able to
close. There it is. We've got our pie in our iron. Set it right on top there. See what happens.
Man, I've been spoiled tonight. Bulla Bulla was delicious. Now a pie out of the pie iron.
Oh, yeah. It's a good night. Look at that. We'll see how this tastes. That is good. That is a nice
little camping dessert right there. Hot, hot. I'm going to let it calm down, though. It is hot.
That makes for a really tasty dessert. Thank you, Susie, for sending this idea.
I love hearing from you guys and finding new things to try. I've always wanted to use one
of those pie irons. I just never have. I do want to try it over the fire, too.
So we'll have to try that. Maybe make some other things in it. It doesn't have to be dessert. It
could be a dinner. Oh, oh, man, you guys. I'm so ready for bed. Boy, man, it was a long day.
But it was a good one. Definitely was a good one. I had a lot of fun today. I love finding these new
spots. You know, go camping in a new location. Go check it out. I've never camped in this spot.
I've camped in this general location, but I've never camped right here.
So tomorrow we're going to explore a little bit. There is a waterfall. Now, I've been to this
waterfall before, but I don't think I've ever shown it on this channel. I showed it on my
grilling channel, Baum Grillin's, but I never showed it on this one. So we'll go explore that
tomorrow. We'll go check it out. It's beautiful. I'm excited to share it with you guys. So that's
what the plan is for tomorrow. So tonight we might get some snow. It's calling for it, at least.
I think it's more towards the morning, though, but we'll see. That'll be a nice little treat.
Some fresh snowfall. All right, enough chit-chatting from me. I need to hit the sack
so we can get up early and see what tomorrow brings. I'll see all of you in the morning.
I don't want to get out of bed. I've been sleeping for a while. It's so cozy,
but it's chilly. It's so chilly.
It's current. Oh, it's almost nine o'clock. Yeah, I need to get up.
It looks like 29 degrees outside. It says it's 37 inside, which is negative two Celsius,
three degrees Celsius. What's our low for last night? 25.
Got down to 25 last night, which is negative four.
I do have some snow. I can see it on the tent, and it sounds like it's kind of coming down, but
it doesn't sound like big flakes. It sounds more like
ice rain or something. All right, I better get up and get that fire going and
get some coffee. Let's see how we can start this fire up.
I love it. Love it. Want some more of it. That's going to amp me up now. Be ready for the day.
Oh, yeah. Look at that. Egg in a hole. One sausage, two sausage, three. Oh, yeah. Come here,
you. Oh, you're hot. Hey, quick, simple, easy breakfast. There it is. That's a quick, easy
breakfast. Snag in a hole, you know. I don't know. Anybody else do that? Simple, simple, easy.
You get your eggs and your bread all in one go. You don't have to dip it in your egg and
all that fat. Who has time for that? I mean, come on. You don't need to grab a piece of toast and
dip it in your runny egg. You just got to put it in in the toast and have your runny egg with your
isn't that beautiful, you guys? That right there is Granite Falls. I'm sure because it's carved
out a big old thing of granite. Wow, it is beautiful. Absolutely stunning. A couple of
years ago, I cooked a burger right here by the waterfall. I did that on the other channel,
Bomb Grillin's. I'll leave a link to it up here. You can go check it out, but so cool.
I love seeing stuff like this. Now, there is a viewing deck way up there,
but I'm not going to hike all the way up there. One thing I love about these boots
is I can go anywhere. I got to be careful, though. I really do. I'm watching my step,
you guys. There's so much more snow up this way. I had to drive quite a bit just to get here.
Look at that. If you're ever up in North Idaho, come check this out. It's called Granite Falls,
but keep it a secret. It's just between me and you.
This location is great for snowmobiling. Right now, it's not closed off to vehicles just yet,
but soon it will be. The only way you can come up here is by snowmobile or hiking in, which
I have done on some previous videos. This is how much snow is up here already. It is nice and deep.
Look at that. Here we are in November. All right, everybody, that's enough for me.
I got to get out of here before the snow blocks me in. This snow is going to stack up and nobody's
going to come up here to plow, so I better get out of here. Man, it felt so good to get out and do
hot tent camping again. My favorite time of year. I hope you guys enjoyed it as well. Once again,
thank you guys so much for watching. As always, God bless, and I'll see you on the next episode.
Bye!
