A Duplex Tiny Home! | TinyPlex Sneak Peek

what's up everyone I'm Stephen here with tiny house listings I'm Gabe Gentile and we are super excited today to share with you a new layout this is we our fourth layout for here with tiny house listings and probably the last one that we come up with for a while we're trying to keep it simple this one is unlike any other tiny house we've ever seen this a tiny house duplex and uh when we first mentioned the idea to some people that we work with they didn't quite understand it but then they got it they're like oh that's really smart so today we're just going to quickly run down and show you the idea of this duplex and some of the use cases yeah so if you kind of if we walk over to like the middle of the trailer which is somewhere around here it's literally going to be 20 ft that way and 20 ft that way and there'll be a wall dividing them a very uh thick soundproof wall so you won't really hear what's going on over here you won't hear what's going on over here and so basically it's going to be the same layout but we're just going to flip-flop it so if you go down to this end that back corner is actually going to be the bedroom that's going to be the bedroom side and then behind that's going to be the bathroom and then the kitchen will flow right into the uh dividing wall will be behind me is actually going to be like the living room so then basically if you were to take this trailer and sandwich it and flop it that side would have the bedroom the bathroom and then the kitchen so the kitchen will be the points where they meet so the places you are the most are going to be the places furthest away from the wall so I think it's going to be a really cool layout it'll have two doors it'll have two kitchens it's going to have two bathrooms you'll have plenty of space it'll basically be two Lads put together yeah basically so in between one of the concerns that I could already tell would be where like noise from one apartment to the other so there'll be an 8 in wall and that'll be crammed full of soundproofing um sand deadening insulation which is called rck wall and so you will won't be able to hear from one place to the other uh from one apartment to the other one tiny house to the other so uh adding to what stepen said about the 8 in thick wall actually what happens is when you do a soundproofing wall one side is going to be here and then the other side is going to be staggered so they're going to be staggered so this this wall panel will never touch this wall panel stud so it'll be a thick wall with insulation in between but the but the the finish on this Edge will never touch the stud that the finish on this Edge is in so that'll also help with soundproofing and things like that because there'll be no direct transfer some some use cases for this that going be really cool let's say for student housing you basically get two for one if you're an investor and you want to have two airbnbs in your spot for just for the price of one uh you could do that and not only that um if you're someone who wants to live in a tiny house but also own an Airbnb to help offset some of the cost of owning a tiny house you could do that so you could live in one side rint out the other to Airbnb so it's really really cool and a lot of times one of the biggest expenses of buying a tiny house is transporting it so let's just say if it cost $5,000 to transport a tiny house from one side of the country to the other you can do that all at once so also one thing we want to mention about this tiny house is it's going to be one tiny house but yet it's going to look like two so maybe maybe on one side we might have a white kitchen and on this side we might have an espresso cabinet color kitchen uh I can tell you that the the house itself is going to have two siding colors um so it'll really distinct which side is which you'll you'll have one siding color on one side that kind of wraps all the way around and then you'll have another siding color on this side that'll wrap all the way around so it'll look like one tiny house but yet it'll still look like this yeah and you know we're super excited about this cuz it's basically more cost effective if you are a multigenerational family let's say if you're older uh child and you want your mother to live with you there's all kinds of scenarios so we're really really excited to bring this tiny house to the market we haven't given it a name yet we're thinking the tiny Plex that might change but if you have any ideas any ideas leave those in the comments below so anyways thanks for watching see you in the next video [Music]
