Nobel Laureate Richard Schrock: Chemistry is Everything

As I say to my wife occasionally, chemistry is everything, unless it's physics.
And if you combine chemistry and physics, that is pretty much everything.
Look around you. I mean, the body is chemistry. Everything growing is chemistry. The brain is
chemistry. It's everywhere. And if you understand that, you can use it for a better life. So it's
hardly boring. If you think it's boring, then, as my mother used to say, if you're bored,
that's your problem. You really have to find what you are interested in. And certainly,
I hope that people become science-bored, because we dearly need more people in science,
solving the problems we have.
