Cibao vs Cavalier | 2024 Concacaf Caribbean Cup | Final

From the Dominican Republic, it is the second leg of the 2024 CONCACAF Caribbean Cup Final. Shantzik Jaka, entire crew, happy to have you with us as Cibao FC of the Dominican Republic take on Jamaica's Cavalier Football Club. Cibao are in orange, they'll be kicking off from left to right. Cavalier are in white, and the second leg of the 2024 CONCACAF Caribbean Cup Final. And lift the Caribbean Cup. Cibao looking to get the opening chance here, a shot from one. And Cavalier want to get on with this quickly, it's into the penalty area. And at long last, Cibao are able to clear it. Only as far as Lang, ends up playing catch with Lloyd. Again, Jose Barreto for Charles this time. Could open up here for Charles. Looking for Correa, and was touched away. Barkley can control it, one or two, I should say, appeals for a handball in there. I must say, from that vantage point, it's pretty clear cut that it comes off of Lloyd's hand. Well, here's the decision. It's a penalty. It's Diaz. Is it for Cibao? We're level. Penalty was given, penalty converted. And here comes Correa. Instant, the final's been turned on its head. Rivaldo Correa gives Cibao their first lead on aggregate. I mean, they'd win it on away goals. Oh, it's an overhead kick, more of a sidewinding strike. Diaz again. Trinidad. Could open up here for Lopez. It was dipping at the end. And Vino Barkley is able to help it on its way, and out of play. Not much. And it's halftime in the 2024 second leg of the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup final. Another chance to move this ahead. Ovray again. Looking for Stein. Oh, and it's Atkinson in Cavaliers' hour of need. Balls here. Towards the back stick. It's headed down. Oh, it's feathered out to the far side. Lovely cutback, and the shot as well. He's wide of the target, with more white shirts arriving. Long range shot by Moreto. Took a deflection, and Vino Barkley was able to read it, and it'll. So is Russell. Oh, makes the save. Got past two challenges, and then the chance presented itself. It's opened up here. Calvin is in. Oh, and Calvin hits the post. A second attempt for Cavalier to wrap it up, and again, they miss it. Diaz's corner is headed down. Oh, and it's headed off the line. Cavalier will clear it. Oh, the goalkeeper came up. Kalia could seal it, but Peralta makes the stop. Oh, Cavalier have conquered the Caribbean in 2024. After being beaten in the final last year, and after being the runners-up last year, Cavalier in 2024 are the kings of the Caribbean. They are the 2024 CONCACAF Caribbean Cup champions. There's so many words that could describe a championship run, but for Cavalier, their word is redemption. They make the most of their second chance, and they are the champions at long last.
