It makes it easier if you take off the keychain that you have on there. You can do it with it
on there if you need to. First thing you want to do is you see this part that does not have
the emblem on it. There's a little catch right here. Just pull that out and what it does is
it just kind of forces this little slide over a little bit which un-catches it right here.
This is where the physical key location is. But the battery is actually on the other side
and you see right here right the key and here right this little tab right there.
You want to push in on that and what it'll do kind of press in on that little tab right there
and what it'll do it's easier to do it like this where you take your finger push it like that and
what it's going to do is pop out this other side and when this other side is popped out
then you can go ahead and pry up on this side a little bit and once that's pried up
this side will pop off. All right so that's the the second step there and then the third step
is simply pry up either side here or here up on this little cover. Now this little cover has a
seal under it so you want to be careful. Sometimes the seal will kind of pop out that little gray
seal right in there or sometimes pop out. If it does put it down in this section here don't try
to put it on the lid. Put it down in there and then you can snap the lid back on. So now we're
at the battery and the battery is a CR2032 and right in here you can see this cat has a little
catch on this side and then this side is a little space right there for you to pry up on it just
gently it doesn't take any effort you want to just gently pry up on it you can take it out
then get you a new one lay it down like that underneath this side and then you kind of
press it fit in with your hand like so then with that seal completely flat down all the way down
in that little crevice take this up line up the tabs between these little other tabs here and
then press until it snaps very important that you hear that snap otherwise it's not all the way down
then what we can do is the the side with this little tab sticking out right here make sure
that's the side that you're working with now and you'll see a little hole right here for that tab
to go into you basically just put it in there like that and snap it in place make sure you
got a solid snap all the way around and make sure it's flush flush flush then the final step
is to get the other side here and you'll notice that it has like these little uh little catches
here uh these little guys right here these here here here here well those are the main ones right
here uh and then this side has little catches here so basically you want to make sure they're
those three are going to line up with each other like so and it's going to be offset like that
and then you slide it over to snap it in place like that and make sure you kind of wiggle it
make sure it's solid it's snapped in place uh and that little snap is that's what holds it right
there so it's kind of interesting this side kind of uncatch it slide it over the other side you
just push it out and it pops out but um yeah it's a little bit non-intuitive uh key design as far
as changing the battery but hopefully that's been helpful
