A little over a month ago, you wouldn't have recognized this golf course.
After Hurricane Milton tore through Florida, Pelican Golf Club was underwater.
But the community rallied, and they worked extremely hard to get it into pristine condition
for the Annika driven by Gainbridge.
And now we are 36 holes in, and we have a lot to talk about.
I'm Hope Barnett, and you're watching LPGA Now, presented by Servpro.
Let's get into it.
While we're all thankful for the hardworking people behind this course's comeback,
I can think of a few at the top of the leaderboard that are exceptionally grateful.
One of them being Charlie Hull.
It was a lot more trickier than yesterday.
So you just got to have a good ball striking day.
So, and I'm a good ball striker, so it kind of played more into my hands.
Who's coming off of a win on the LET.
She feels good about her game, and it shows.
She's leading the tournament by two after recording her 36-hole scoring record.
This birdie came at the turn.
And honestly, I couldn't have drawn this up better myself.
Yeah, I like playing with Nelly.
She makes loads of birdies, so it's good fun to watch.
And yeah, it's really cool.
I'm going to ask her about her swimsuit, I think, because she looked really nice in it.
I think that's pretty cool.
I always enjoy playing with Charlie.
She's always a fun time.
And hopefully, you know, we give a good show.
Trailing Charlie by two is the world number one Nelly Korda.
I'm just comfortable.
I think, you know, playing in front of my family too, so close to home, that
is also a reason why I feel comfortable out here.
And then the more you play it, the more you kind of realize the subtle breaks on the green.
So you kind of learn time after time.
But yeah, even with it being windy, tough conditions,
I just kind of know the holes where you kind of have to be safe,
and the holes where you can be a little bit more aggressive on.
And let's not forget that she's won this tournament twice before.
Nelly's looking for her seventh win just this season.
And looking at the leaderboard here at the Annika driven by Gainbridge,
there's four tied for third that are definitely in range.
Alexa Pano, Jinhee Im, Wachani Michai, and Mi-Hyang Lee are all three back from Charlie.
Rookie Jinhee was making these tricky putts look easy.
Nassa with a birdie from off the green.
Jinhee Im for birdie from on it.
Not two from the same group.
While Alexa is trying to play her way into the CME Group Tour Championship next week
with shots like this.
She's four under today.
Oh, and this will trickle down.
With two rounds left and a lot on the line ahead of the CME Group Tour Championship next week,
be sure to tune in and watch Moving Day.
And come back right here to watch LPGA Now presented by Surf Pro.
