You refer to your breeding, I don't want to say kennel, it's a family, your dog family that you have.
You know, in the 21st century, I think that's more of a relative way to compare or think of dogs in our community, in our civilization,
is that they're really just truly more companions now.
They're not housed like they once were in, you know, these mega kennels with, you know, 40, 50, 100 dogs.
Now they're mostly house dogs. They're small, intimate breeding programs, more small, intimate families of dogs.
And the dogs truly live better lives and happier lives, and they're better adjusted and are part of the family.
Right. That's something that we talk about during the broadcast at Westminster, is that these are pets.
These dogs are being shown, and they're top show dogs, but at the end of the day, they are your pet, and that's really what it's about.
When someone comes to buy a show dog, we don't sell show dogs. We sell pets who happen to be or could be show dogs.
And many of those dogs go on to be bested show winners, but they're first, they're someone's pet.
That's right, and that's why you do the socialization and the sound sensitivity, so they can be a good community member.
And, you know, that's such a good point, because all the family of dogs that we raise, we're specifically raising them to live long, happy lives in their families.
And it's not to live long, happy lives at a dog show, because their time spent at a dog show, even the ones that are shown a significant time, is maybe only two years.
That's the best way to have it, I think.
Exactly.
