NUGGETS at WIZARDS | FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | December 7, 2024

The Nuggets are perfect on the season when he's in the starting lineup. He's averaging almost 19 points per game. And we're underway as the Wizards win the opening. It has to be the little things. He's already committed two turnovers and that's a slap down by Porter. As Bilal commits the turnover. Peyton Watson to the rim. I think that's where. Glad to have you with us on a Saturday night here on Monumental Sports Network. We're back at it again tomorrow when John Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies come to town. Jumpers up and good for Valanchunas. Throughout the years on various teams for JV. And I love how he's keeping him honest. Easy look. Dime by Jokic. Finding Christian Brown. Connected on his first three-point try tonight. Lovalli getting a steal. Bilal's 22nd of the year. Counted and a one. Only played a couple minutes that game. Nice cut by Westbrook. Moving without the basketball. Six in a row, three straight seasons. Series sweeps over the Wizards. It's good to see Justin Champagny. Has potential to even get better in that department. But Champagny is cooking him. That's a block by Valanchunas. Bilal ahead of the pack. Rocks the rim. Hopefully offensively that can get the young fella going. Three-point Wizards lead. Porter inside to Jokic. Jokic. Count the bucket and the foul. Into the body of Valanchunas. This is amazing. Did you see how he shot the shot after the contact? Scoring his first two points off the Nuggets bench. Here he is coming up with a deflection. Westbrook all alone. Champagny. Just two feet in the paint. Kicks it out. Bull with a bounce pass. Valanchunas inside the free throw line. Connects. Nice two-man game. Wizards on a 7-0 run. Largest lead of the game. And Jokic makes him pay. Jokic off the window. We're accustomed to seeing full demonstration. Here comes Jokic. Does he go right back at JV? You know he is. He sure does. You know he is. There's a big man battle going on. Tap rebound as Jokic has a kick ahead. Strother. Good deflection by the Wizards. Right into the hands of Watson. Now putting the ball on the ground with counters. Nuggets to shoot 70% from the field. JV, yes. That wise man. Andre Jordan in the game for the first time for the Nuggets. Working a little side pick and roll with Christian Brown. Brown's leaner is good. Butler trying to turn that corner. Nice bounce pass to Gill who misses. Follows his miss and makes. Gill joining the party, being active. Julian Strother coming up at Jordan. Screams and scores. While we were talking above senior, Johnny Davis was putting some work in. And here he is again on the run. Rim rocking. J.D. Over to Kulibaly. Oh, D3. Hit that one from Springfield. When the Wizards got Kyle Kuzma and Spencer Dinwiddie in that tree. I think he spent time in both L.A. teams, right? No KC. Houston. Oh. Always said over the years, just analyzing his game, a lot of defenders allow him too much space. Jordan Poole has scored the last 11 points for the Wizards. The game, 14. Let's see if this unit can close out this second quarter with some momentum. Do not allow the Denver Nuggets to cut this back to a single-digit lead. Jokic, pull-up jumper wet. Davis is trying to develop a year three in small windows. Not having that much opportunity, but you can see he's gotten better. Jokic. Russ behind the back. And now it's Jokic working on the rookie. Takes his time and scores too easy. Back to live action. Champinney counted and won. JV is on the ground that Justin Champinney might be the best cutter going from baseline to baseline. You can see that already in the first half, Chris, when he has his opportunity. He's not going to just sit in those corners and wait up. Nuggets are without Jamal Murray tonight. You see that step through right there by Michael Porter, Jr. Porter, Jr. with just seven points tonight. Porter, shot was blocked by Kulibaly. Brown with 12. Good cut by Carrington. Slamming it home. Inside to the Joker who scores with the left. You don't think those two guys know how to. Back in the hill for the rebound. Champinney off his feet. Joker hook shot good. And it's not lost on me. My partner was one of the very best of taking time with people. You see Jokic scores, but you can learn. Jonas Valanciunas picks up his third personal. He is guarding Jokic. The Cleveland Cavaliers on the road again. And look at that. Whatever you can do, I can do better, says the Joker who gets the anvil. Pays for a 50 ball. Potential 50 ball triple-double. Pulling, driving, scoring. Porter on the Joker. Joker takes his time, 38 points. He's got about seven points in ten minutes. Right now this last three and a half is the difference between being up single digits or double digits. Koliokic now with a 40 piece. Justin all alone in the corner. Career high, 19 points. Great call, 42 points for the Joker. Lead is three, pull, make it six. Jordan Poole by quarter. Five points in the first, 16 in the second, 11 here in the third. 14 in the third quarter. Are you kidding me? Just got to stop this guy. Inside, fouled. And you see Malone bringing Brown up to try to guard. Butler, inside, left-hand layup. And see, that's where JB throws you off, Chris. He's not just a right-handed player. He can do both. And in that third quarter alone, you see Anthony Gill kicking out. Here's Butler, starting the fourth quarter. The way he ended the third. It doesn't matter who gets in the game, Chris. Christian Brown and Nikoliokic going to the scores table. There's a steal. Whistler's coming the other way. Poole, layup. Westbrook, the inbound. Nice pocket pass inside to the Joker. 49 points for Nikoliokic. Joker working inside. A kick out. Strother three. He can shoot. You can tell. Confident. This guy that came in averaging under 20 minutes a game. He's got 25 tonight. 52 for Nikoliokic. Bub driving. Shot clock. Block. Tap right to Valanchunas. Great heads-up play by Kulibaly. Definitely was a pass to JV. It was quick. Lead is eight. Jokic slips and scores a double. Kulibaly off the window. Misses. Follows his shot. Tries to pass over to Carrington. Allowed offensive rebound. Off the glass and scores. Champini trying to go one-on-one with Strother. He was fouled. In the bucket. Chris. Justin Champini. On the bench, this might be a substitution pattern. Bub. Champini. Closing the show. Strother being guarded by Kulibaly. Allowed another block. For the first time since October the 30th, the Wizards are victorious. Streak miss. White flag time.
