Welcome back to our channel. My name is Amelia. I'm a national champion and coach at the International
Skating University. Today we will analyze axel's technique and I will show you a whole set of
exercise for a double axel. Don't forget to subscribe and like this video if it was useful
for you. Now let's get started. Let's start with the basic analysis of the axel technique.
You have to control your shoulders. The left shoulder is a bit forward. We hold the right one.
We will twist ourselves with it. We hold the hips in the same way because it is necessary
to maintain the square. Two shoulders, two hips. Of course, we do this when we are already
confidently sitting on the coff on our left leg. Before we will start pushing off, we need to get
to the toe peak on our blades. So we need to jump from this part of our foot. We will enter into the
jump with all right side of our body. Right shoulder, right hip and we twist with all right side
of body. We make a swing with the right hip. You should feel that you jump onto a step or some
play box. Next, you need to transfer your weight to the right leg and hold yourself above your right
leg in the air. We hold the rotating position very tightly. Try to control our elbows and hold our
back so as not to lean forward or backward. Next, we land and open up sharply on exit.
Left hand forward, head to the right. Left hand forward, head to the right. After completing all
or selected exercises, start to training the double axel. I advise you to make 10 attempts
and try to feel what is missing in your technique. Repeat the necessary exercise and continue training
the double axel. Good luck! Thank you for watching this video. If you found it helpful, please subscribe
