Instant Highlights - Munster Rugby v Stade Français Paris Round 1 | Investec Champions Cup 2024/25

The lights are on at Toleman Park, European Club Rugby and this Champions Cup competition gets underway for these two sides at the end of 2024 and the first touch is Pierre Huguet. In November Internationals the last one was a nice blind peel we're going to go for a straightforward drive and again watch that Stade coming in from the side staying bound here trying to disrupt they're so good at that worked the last time in the opposite end of the other corner you just see it here again the throw is at the very full extent of Peter Romani's jump Munster failing to get the initial shift and just the scrum half there is defending makes himself available passing Casey all the way out to Daly chip and chase from Daly if he gets the bounce here he might be in Daly a little chip over the top this could be a superb try to get the bounce to Daly for Munster what a try outstanding by Shane Daly he's no right to be winning those balls in the air Casey again great awareness out wide and uh Shane Daly leaves Henry for dead it all depended on the bounce in the end he got the bounce worked hard what a try bear in mind that's Munster scoring with uh Nankiville in the bin so it's almost worth more brilliant finish we've been rubbing through it's going to stay up for ever hands off back inside Romani the new and the old for Munster he's dropping but i'm seeing a real force in this swinging arm here which connects directly with his head here i understand the reasoning mitigation but i'm just saying this is too dangerous it has to be a red yeah it's it's like it's a strike problem i totally agree yeah okay i explained to you say here if you want to i i did consider going to yellow card because he is low however that is too dangerous and it becomes a striking action so not the one in the first half is a tackle this is a strike and that is very dangerous to that player that is a red card it's a swinging arm there's no argument whatsoever against it no let's just take our time and have another quick look at this it's five is it yeah it's the other second row no you land on your head here you create serious damage luckily he manages to roll over on his back that's really dangerous this game now is going to descend into absolute fire that's unbelievable two second rows gone within a minute of each other it's a red card he's a big man to take out of the uh the fun stand they're gonna have to make some alteration for that there's a man he no effects from that anyway and he's set for driving more for months and they've tried a couple of times most in the first half can they break through here which will be leading the charge and down it goes it's all it can do oh it's broken free chance here and it goes from scandal just short now calvin nash wrapped up in a matter of seconds here crowley goes to the back line mancaville it's two on one they might even need a second and tom ferrell gets the bonus point for monster there's a power to me with monster 28 and i love you might have thought uh do they really need to bring it in yeah maybe not but there might be a chance here for stand back inside to the loose head cast and the 13 stand front side players have their first try at a match brilliant from the hooker and the loose head prop support back inside the pass is good to patterson has had another shoulder but took the tackle and his chance now for monster still good scramble defense from start i mean they're staying in the fight monster surely must finish this it's a case to hand shirley nash on the outside into the corner they go and he's out there only gavin kerns try number 47 in a monster jersey for that man well we're used to seeing him uh score i'd say 46 certainly the wind conditions meant a lot of the second half has played deep in the monster's half of the field but much better continuity from monster here keeping the ball alive great width and uh you just see patty patterson keeping that super pass here gavin coombs you're not going to stop him all of a sudden that scoreline looks a lot more decent and reflective i suppose of the 15 against 13 for the good to 25 minutes rested in the tackle henry crossfield kick where is this going to work out awkward one has to be dealt with contact there on the ground did go forward and that will be the last act of uh an interesting game shall we say monster get the job done yeah they got the job done uh you know that last try put a a little bit of distance between them to be fair i think monster with the superior side all the way through from time apart monster 37 stat francais 33 i should say
