Beat me at chess, win a $250 chess board.
Tonight I will be at the Chess Club of Bern to challenge everyone there to a Blitz game.
And the first person to beat me will win this beautiful chess board.
Little did I know how badly my opponents wanted to win the board.
One of them even tried to distract me in a way I had never seen before.
And sadly, we'll never forget.
In game one, my opponent and I were both very nervous.
We had an equal position for a very long time,
but then Khleib committed a fatal blunder.
Oh, no.
Oh, look at the board.
No.
With an extra piece and after a few trades,
I got into a winning endgame, created a pass pawn,
pushed it to promotion, and a few moves later, checkmated his king.
Checkmate.
In game two, the opening was pretty unique
because Jan left a pawn hanging on e4.
But I wasn't sure if this was his preparation or not.
It's a three cheese macaroni, but I'm not sure if I should take it.
Did you see it?
I saw it.
I think you're lying.
Am I lying?
I can't trust you, I can't see.
Honestly, I didn't see.
OK, sure.
In the middle game, I tried to go aggressive,
threatening first a fork and then a checkmate.
But Jan protected everything, sending my knight back on f6.
The game was roughly equal for many moves after.
But then Jan was running out of time and eventually flagged
while also blundering a piece.
Yeah, I distracted you too much.
Yes. Thank you for scaring me.
You just wanted to give a chance to them to also play, get the board, right?
You wanted to see Andrii lose as well, right?
Hello there.
I was definitely not ready for what was about to happen.
Andrii shocked me in a way nobody ever has over the board.
OK, OK, stop, stop, stop.
Please stop. OK, I'll move.
Oh, man. OK, let's go.
Let's go. Have a good game.
Do you have any wish?
Bone cloud.
Are you sure?
No, Scandinavian rat.
I mean, bone cloud. It will be bone cloud.
OK, the board is in danger.
OK, why didn't you take my pawn? It was free.
Am I dumb?
Are you? Or is it a question or an affirmation?
Or am I a downy?
No, no, no, you are not.
If I take the pawn, here is the queen.
And here is the knight.
Yes. And I don't like that at all.
I don't want to win the queen.
Actually, last time we played, we played against each other.
You lost your queen twice.
I know. Do you think you can do better today?
No.
Oh, no. OK, so I'll complete the bone cloud.
There we go.
OK, let's start to develop something.
Are you feeling good? No.
No? OK.
Did you see your video on YouTube?
No. No? Don't play Jano.
Did you see the video of Andrei?
Did you like it? Yeah.
Yeah, that's right.
Nice. What was that?
Where did you become a gorilla?
No, monkey aggression.
Aha, monkey aggression.
OK, interesting.
I don't see any aggression here.
OK, here I don't feel any aggression yet.
Oh, should they show you the aggression?
Oh, man.
Your time is running down.
Oh, man. Stop it. Stop it.
Kids, don't do this at home.
That was very painful.
No. No, it was painful for me.
Don't worry. You don't have to say no.
It was painful for me. I can say this.
But they will lose. It was also painful for me.
Oh, yeah, the game will be very painful now for you.
I tell you. Oh, shit.
OK, OK.
Go. Andrei, when will you open your YouTube channel?
Smoking spaghetti, I've never seen that.
Andrei, play your moves.
You know, there is a board on the line.
I will take it.
Ah, you will steal it.
You will just take it.
Your coach didn't like that move.
Did you see he did like...
Can you explain the purpose of this move?
Why are you eating raw spaghetti?
Can you explain to me?
Stop eating raw spaghetti.
It's not good.
OK, can you explain to me the reason of this move?
Stop it.
Oh, man. OK, OK, stop, stop, stop.
Please stop. OK, I'll move.
Oh, man.
I'll just move something.
Please stop.
OK, let's do like this.
I will wait one full minute if you eat.
Stop eating spaghetti.
If you will have 10 seconds on clock.
Amigo.
Then I will... Don't break spaghetti.
And then I will say that nobody should break spaghetti.
OK, 30 seconds and we have a deal.
OK, make a move.
My bishop.
Yeah, you noticed us.
OK, so now I have to let my time run.
Stop eating spaghetti.
Subscribe to Alessio.
If not, you will have 100 Elo.
Oh, that's painful.
Osmungus Carlsen.
Three, two, one.
Oh, sorry.
He's not the king.
I'm Bon Cloud.
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Your time is running down as well.
Yes, I'm checkmating you.
But I don't see that.
So I don't care.
You don't care.
How do you say?
Or what?
I told you that I'm checkmating you.
No, we just don't see it coming yet.
Oh, no, no, no.
You promised.
Sorry, that that was.
Oh, man, I'm now not now it's going to be painful.
Piece of family friendly.
Oh, move fast.
OK, OK, OK, OK, let's go.
No.
Three seconds.
OK, you get you get a second.
But they have three seconds.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
You made a really illegal move, which loses the game.
You know. OK.
Are you ready?
Three, two, one.
Wait, you just made me lose one second.
OK, wait.
Three, two, one, go.
Andre, you were a great fighter, but this is, you know,
you know, as you broke spaghetti, this is your bone.
I did like this.
An Italian broke spaghetti.
No, sorry.
After the three kids, it was now time to face some huddles.
And the first challenger was the president of the club.
An aggressive player who surprised me with a very unconventional
opening, the Latvian Gambit.
This game was pretty much one sided.
After the opening, we went for opposite side castling.
I slowly improved my position by attacking the center
as well as the king side.
And the position took a clear turn once I settled my strong night on e6.
The pressure was so high that Nguyen felt the need to sacrifice his rook
for my knight.
But immediately after, I managed to trade off the queens
and safely converted that endgame to a win.
Almost safely, actually.
Let's run.
Oh, you want to take that?
Now let's run.
Ah, my time.
Thank you.
It was a pleasure.
Thank you.
You're too strong for me.
Next one.
My next opponent was Simon, who provided us not only with some
hilarious jokes, but also with a crazy game and two brilliant moves.
How did you wake up today?
Well, uh, when I woke up, I was like 1,300.
Then, uh, then I shaved 1,500, showered 1,700.
Okay.
And so on.
Yeah.
And how are you now?
I'm very excited about chessboard.

Let's now see who will win the chessboard.
All right, Simon, give your very best because you will need it.
I'm giving my best for Alessio.
For Alessio.
Yes.
Oh yeah, you start, you're white.
Do you like this opening?
It's a great opening.
Can I do your next move?
No.
Worth a try.
I see what you want to do.
By the way, we don't play the touch move, you know?
If I touch this pawn, I'm not going to move it.
Oh, okay.
I see.
If we play, until you don't press the clock move.
So until you don't...
Okay.
Why?
Because it's three chess.
So I can do this now and then do this.
Oh, you're just teasing me with the bad move.
Okay.
I see.
Almost guys, almost won.
So close.
Almost there.
Yeah.
I mean, it's better than nothing.
Such a tease.
All right.
No problem.
We're going to win somehow.
Yeah.
I totally know this opening.
I mean, honestly, this is the only opening where you don't really need to know much.
Oh, that's good to know.
Are you just making fun of me?
Are we going to do this now for every move?
This guy.
How do you pay to do this?
Yes.
By Go Chess Love.
By Particula.
Is it life or light?
Light.
Because it's light.
Oh, I see.
So they focus on chess and not on like good writing.
Okay.
I see.
I mean, you have to be kind with them.
Yeah, of course.
They pay you a lot of money.
Right?
How much?
Mind your business.
So much.
It's crazy.
My goodness.
Look, she's nervous now.
She doesn't know what to do.
Yes.
This guy.
Okay, I'll protect this pawn.
It's hanging.
Oh, yeah.
Very smart.
That's why you're the best.
So, Simon, you didn't say what level you ended up being today.
Well, I mean, it's very fluctuous, right?
So I had a heavy lunch and so then I felt like 800, you know?
It was really bad.
800?
Yeah, yeah.
I felt really bad.
Wow.
My goodness.
Goodness.
Then...
That dropped quite a lot.
You lost 900 points in one lunch.
It went so fast.
Yeah.
Okay.
And then what do you do to raise your rating?
Except, okay, of course, you shave, you...
Yeah, I shaved again in the afternoon.
Okay.
Yes.
My face this time.
Go chess life!
Kid-friendly enterprise.
Light, light, not life.
Luckily, my fiancé knows you very well.
That's good.
That's alright.
Because of my chess skills.
Yeah, I learned it from somewhere.
He was very impressed by your chess skills.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
When...
He's telling me every day, but actually...
It was very close, wasn't it?
It was so good.
It was so close.
I almost had him.
He always repeats me that you're so good.
But at least you have more time.
So you're succeeding.
I have more time.
Yes, yes.
Because I just know the moves and I don't need to waste so much time on thinking.
That's an advantage, honestly.
A big advantage.
Big advantage.
My goodness.
You want to do the big one?
Big boy.
Yes, because like this, when I play G5...
Oh, yeah, you can...
Checkmate.
Oh, yeah, you can just attack me, yeah.
I'll just go ready.
I haven't thought about that.
I mean, I have my king a little bit exposed on the C file,
but I don't think you know how to attack me.
Sorry?
What is exposed?
My king.
Your king?
On the C file will be exposed.
Oh, it will.
Very, very exposed, yes.
Oh, I'm so confused.
Let's do this.
Oh, you give me your queen.
Oh, yes.
I...
Well, we play touch, right?
So...
Go chess slights, where you can turn back time.
That's why it's a chessboard so smart.
Like, you can make a mistake and just pretend it didn't happen.
Oh, this guy.
Oh, my God.
It's not like you have evidence, like evidence tape or something.
There are no evidence whatsoever.
Nobody ever saw that.
OK, I'll castle now.
My goodness.
That was a great castle.
For go chess light.
That was it, for go chess light.
Let's do it.
OK, OK, let's do this.
Ooh.
Yes, let's go all in.
I'm ready.
Oh, my God, she's doing it.
Oh, she's going to kill me right now.
Oh, she's going to mess me up.
Oh, my God.
Oh, I messed up so bad.
Why is everybody watching right now?
OK.
OK, I have 10 seconds more than you, so that means I'm winning.
Yes.
You're a big dreamer, you know.
I'm a big dreamer.
Oh, oh, oh, no.
Oh, no.
Yeah, let's do it.
Oh, that was really bad.
That was not good at all.
That's not good.
Yeah, yeah, that's fine.
It's all part of the plan.
So, wait, you took a rook, right?
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, that's not good.
No, no, no, don't take my bishop.
I want to take the bishop.
No, I wouldn't.
I would have sacrificed my queen if you would have taken here.
Yeah, yeah, I don't want you to do that.
OK, OK, OK, OK.
I'll take here.
No, not like that.
Then it doesn't work.
You deserve pain.
Oh, but then it doesn't work.
Then my brilliant plan is not going to work out.
You know that is a check?
Oh, yes.
Oh, so I can't do that.
No, I have to trade.
Oh, my God.
You have to.
And can you count how many rooks you have?
How many rooks I have?
I have one rook and you have two.
That's not fair.
Oh, yeah, you can take that.
So now I will try to checkmate you before you flag.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, good luck.
But you need to help me to move a little bit faster.
I'll play fast.
I'm not going to.
Are you ready to play the move?
I'm ready to play the move.
Three, two, one, go.
Check.
Oh, yeah.
Three, two, one, go.
No, no, I don't know what to do.
OK, no, no, fine.
I'll play this one.
OK, good.
Are you ready now?
Yeah. No, I'm not ready.
Wait.
Wait, give me 45 seconds.
No.
OK, OK.
Are you ready?
Yes.
Are you ready?
Yes.
Are you ready?
No. Yes.
Are you ready?
Yes.
Go.
Go!
That's not good.
Bro, you flagged.
Yeah.
Yeah, you distracted me.
With go, chess, like.
Thank you so much.
It was a pleasure to get my ass kicked once again.
Let's go.
In game six, I challenged another adult, David.
And since he's kind of new to the game, I promised to give him some time-outs.
So I only had one minute on my clock.
The opening was the Karakon and things took a turn for the worse
once David played the move F5.
This move is not only weakening the king,
but also all the squares around the pawn.
After a few moves, I managed to win material by taking his bishop.
Yeah, still not over.
Still not over.
But your pieces are falling.
Yeah, but your time is going down.
And after BIM, BOOM, BAM,
I also won the queen.
Even though I was winning and trying to checkmate him,
I also had no time on the clock,
which made the ending of this game quite chaotic.
Good job.
I had been playing for more than an hour and still nobody won the board.
So it was time to make the challenge even harder for me.
That's why I decided to give some crazy time-outs.
Hearing this, the kids who challenged me at the beginning of the evening
wanted a second chance.
And the first one to get the possibility was Khlib,
who played way better than in the first game.
The position was roughly equal for a very long time
until I made a huge blunder.
After the blunder, I thought the game was basically over for me,
but I kept fighting and eventually Khlib also blundered with Queen g3.
Now I could trade the queen and then win the night.
And with my pass the pawn, the endgame looked very promising.
Plus, he had a big problem.
The knight on a2 was strapped,
so I could comfortably keep pushing my pass pawn
supported by the bishop and the rook.
Oh, no.
Eventually, I managed to sacrifice my rook to promote a pawn,
but I just had nine seconds left.
Oh, and then I touched the rook.
Yeah, I lost.
Oh, sorry.
It's OK. Yeah.
Now it's time for Andrei to be back.
And if you thought the other game was crazy, this one is even crazier.
I'm not Andrei, I'm Android.
So I haven't broken spaghetti.
Give me the mic.
I haven't broken spaghetti, really.
OK, you didn't break spaghetti.
Do you have any suggestions for yourself?
No.
I have one for you.
Yes. Play good and fast.
That's how you're going to win.
New handshake style.
Donald Trump.
Does he do like this?
Yes.
Wow, you're fast.
OK.
Since when did you become so fast?
What happened to you?
What the hell?
How do you know a theory even?
It's easy.
What?
The monster unlocked.
You're really Android.
But I think Android now lost the power.
No.
No?
OK.
And the coach revealed it.
OK, but I still have 49 seconds.
Shadoop.
Oh no, my rook.
Shadoop.
My poor rook.
Don't take my rook.
Oh, thank you.
Thank you, thank you.
Is this a trick?
Yes.
Boss.
Hello.
Ah, you saw it.
Yes.
Bravo.
Now think three more minutes so we have the same time.
No.
But how did you stop it now?
How do you stop it?
Like that?
Yes.
You're a fox.
No.
No?
No.
What are you?
Android.
Oh my god.
I forgot I had little time.
Ha ha ha ha.
I will say, I will say already to make my next move.
Ha.
Ha ha.
B.
The rook.
You will make something on B.
Yeah.
Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh.
What?
You couldn't mate it.
I'm checkmating you.
Cool.
You.
Cool.
Any last words?
I don't see the mate.
I'll take your queen.
Oh shit.
Okay.
Eh.
Ha ha ha ha.
Okay.
That's one last.
Okay.
Last.
It is your last illegal move.
Do you understand that the king is here and then the knight moves like an arrow?
No.
Okay.
You can do it.
Good luck.
I have time.
Take your time.
I have not time.
What the hell?
I move.
My coach didn't learn me that.
You could take and I could take yours.
Well, you're a genius.
I have really no time.
I just have to make moves.
Cool.
Bravo.
Should I do it?
Yeah!
How can you take the board from me?
Oh man.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
So it's yours.
Yeah!
Just broke the board.
You have a future.
If you enjoyed this video, you will love this one.

It was lots of fun.
