We are in Grand Junction, Colorado now and have rented two Hondas from Rogue Motor.
Our bikes just have been delivered to our hotel
and we are packing our luggage in the panniers here. Let's get started!
When we saw the opening scene of the movie Point Break years ago,
we were very inspired by that footage. We did some research on this film location
and that's how we ended up to our new destination, Utah. Not only the place where
the jump scene was shot, but the entire area attracted us. We're going to Moab!
Yes, it's a bit windy.
You can't put it in the wrong way, because it's going diagonally.
You can take a nice picture here.
I'm going to take a picture.
Yes, I'll give you this one.
Actually, I wanted to go to that point. But you already knew that, right?
I'm going to try to drive.
Please close the gate. I think I can open it.
It's an auto-lock.
What's this?
How much gallon?
How much gallon do you want?
Good morning!
Hello!
Yes, we're going to BDR.
BDR, very good.
Okay, perfect.
Thank you!
The next day, we get up early to ride a part of the BDR Utah.
We ride through the area where the Slickrock Trail starts.
We skipped that one, but we're going to ride the Kokopelli Trail and the Onion Creek Trail.
Pavement ends.
Are you cold again?
Colder, but...
Kokopelli.
Are you going out?
Yes.
Yes, I'm out.
Because we climbed up and it started to rain, it quickly became chilly.
Fortunately, the path went down again and the sun broke through.
It became around 25 degrees Celsius.
And that was very pleasant with the many water crossings that followed.
I think I have a fly in my helmet, or something like that.
There's something in my helmet.
We're coming through Moab again, by the way.
We can take it with us for some groceries.
We're coming through Moab again, by the way.
It could be slippery.
And another one.
No.
Wow, nice.
We've been here once before.
We're going to the parking lot now.
Well, let's have a drink.
In Moab we want to fill up.
The pump accepts our credit card, but we have to enter a zip code.
And that goes wrong every time.
Luckily, there was this nice guy who gave us two full tanks.
How great was that?
You go down to Durango, and then you can go up to Silverton.
It's beautiful.
It's a great ride.
Have fun.
Thank you.
All Americans aren't bad.
Have fun, guys.
Thank you.
