What is MRF-C? MRF-C is the Marine Corps' newest rotational force in Southeast Asia,
providing persistent 1MF presence west of the international dayline. MRF-C helps us
strengthen our relationship with our allies and partners, and we do this by training alongside
their militaries. This enhances our ability to operate effectively together. So MRF-C does
exercises? Yeah, we do exercises, but we can also quickly transition to real-world operations,
just like we did in the Philippines with Typhoon Prey. Within hours, we can have Marines on the
ground, commanding and controlling larger forces. This drives home the fact that we're a stand-in
force. We're here, but most importantly, we're ready. What's the purpose of being in Southeast
Asia? We're here for our allies and partners, so we can train together, become more effective,
increase our faith and trust in each other, so that Southeast Asia and the larger Indo-Pacific
can be safe, secure, free, and open for all nations.
