I Wore WEIGHTED CLOTHES for an Entire Week!

In a previous video when I wore a weight vest for an entire week straight,
after taking it off, I obviously felt significantly lighter,
but I also noticed an increase in performance regarding speed, agility, and even jump height.
But when wearing a weight vest, even the better form-fitting ones,
when doing intense training, the weight's flopping all over the place.
Also, all the weight is concentrated in this one area. There has to be something more optimal.
Well, I may have found a solution that almost nobody is talking about.
Weighted clothes.
Over the next entire week, I will be wearing and training with weighted clothing.
This looks awesome, but how is this going to go? And in one week,
when I finally go back to just my body weight, will I notice a performance increase?
Stronger, faster, jumping higher than ever before? Will I finally be able to dunk?
Let's find out in this video, but you gotta focus.
I'm sweating profusely already.
So I wanted to say thank you to you guys real quick, because if you've been watching my videos,
then you saw one of the previous videos where I tried to create something like this,
and in the comment section you told me about this company.
So yeah, I'm excited to see how this workout's gonna go,
but thank you guys for commenting as always, and thank you guys for watching and your support.
Let's get to the workout.
I can definitely feel that added weight. It's only a little bit, but I feel it.
Oh, you can feel that on that sprint.
I can definitely feel the weight added on every exercise,
but the ones I felt at the most were pull-ups, sprints.
Also in the jumping switch lunges, I gotta add,
I felt it in my arms as well as the rest of my body.
It was nice, not at just being right here on the chest and flopping around.
Everything's staying together. The concept is working so far.
Anyways, I'm feeling pretty gassed right now, but I'm not done.
There are some basketball hoops around here,
and I wanna just practice jumping, trying to touch rim.
Gotta ways to go.
Just kidding.
Naughty.
So yeah, I am extremely sweaty.
I'm beginning to smell a smell, so I'm actually gonna put this thing under the wash.
But don't worry, I have a solution while I wait for this to be clean.
Machine wash warm, tumble dry low, turn inside out before washing.
All right.
Oh, dude, man.
Don't worry, I have underwear on, but I feel light.
I have a good feeling this is gonna work spectacularly,
and I'm gonna make some insane progress by the end of this video.
I just got out of the shower.
I gotta say the first run with the weight suit by Amorfo, absolutely great.
I think we're going in the right direction here.
However, a part of this plan is to keep resistance on my body pretty much
all the time throughout the week.
So while I'm waiting for that to clean up, I made this custom clothing weight suit.
All I did was borrow some removable weight packs from a weight vest that I had
and put them in the pockets of the clothing I'm wearing right now,
creating me some temporary weighted clothes as I wait for the official ones to clean.
Yeah, so far, so good.
All I'm really gonna do the rest of the day is actually just kind of chill out
and wait for that to wash up, obviously.
Yo, what's up, girl?
Hi, guys.
Yeah.
So I am, like, extremely sore from yesterday,
and I'm not trying to sound like Weenie Hut Jr. over here,
but when I've been working at the computer, like, I can feel it.
I can feel it in my delts, even when I rest my arms down.
Yeah, just over many hours, though, it's like I can feel the resistance.
Pretty dang awesome.
Anyways, I was planning to take today as a rest day
because I am also super sore amongst the rest of my body,
but it is looking so nice out and I want to get outside,
so I'm thinking maybe I'll just go on a light jog, get some cardio or something.
Where do I put my keys?
Frick.
I don't want to mess up.
Okay.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, she's burning.
She is burning.
Gosh, where is it?
Oh, it's right there.
Well, I'm sweaty now.
Probably gonna have to wash this thing again.
Guess this is a good durability test for this.
I feel like if I took this thing off right now, I would just be a rocket, man.
I'd be a rocket.
You know what I mean?
Through these woods.
Man, I could scale these woods, man.
What am I talking about?
Oh, should I discharge this thing?
You think this thing is out, but typically there's about one more load left in.
Just stuck to the sides.
I would tell you I feel lighter right now, but man, I am white.
This is all I'm pretty much gonna do the rest of the day.
Good morning.
That gym is super cool.
Thank you to my friend Justin for telling me about this, by the way.
I gotta give him credit.
You get that suit?
Yeah, I got the suit.
Looking good?
Yeah.
Oh, you're going one at a time?
Yeah, I don't.
You bit the whole thing.
That was...
It was weird?
It's crazy.
Freak you out?
A little bit.
Oh, that hits the spot.
Yo, my arm is getting tired from lifting this fork up and down.
Because of your weight to it?
Yeah.
At the computer, my delts are getting really sore from like this, so I'm like...
Really?
Yeah.
Or maybe I'm just Weenie Hut Juniors over here.
My arms feel so heavy.
When I muster up the strength, I'm gonna take this thing off,
put it in the water, and then take a shower.
And then honestly, probably just put the other weight clothes on,
and then not do anything the rest of this day because I am so wiped already.
Oh, dude.
Even though it's technically not that much,
just having that on all the time, it just really adds up.
Oh, did I get it?
Did I get that angle?
I mean, why is that closet always open?
The suit is feeling extra heavy today.
Also, a side note is the suit is holding up super well in the washing machine and dryer.
I've been flipping it inside out and just washing it normally and still all one piece.
Nothing even looks deteriorated.
I'm gonna work for a little bit and then see if the soreness kind of goes away
because I still want to just train.
All right.
Yep, works.
You ready, bros?
Let's go.
Because I had it underneath at first.
I will not just touch rim.
I will grab rim.
Yeah, okay.
So as you can imagine, day five, I was extremely exhausted.
All I did that day was pretty much just lay around the house and eat food.
And on this day, I felt so heavy.
Like I never felt heavier.
I thought I was going to have to take the rest of this experiment
and just like literally lay on the couch.
However, the next day, I had a little burst of energy
and my wife wanted to go to the gym.
Even though I wasn't really planning on it per se,
I was like, all right, I'll go with you.
And I ended up training arms, which was kind of silly in the suit
and kind of unrelated to how this thing would work for performance.
But still, I guess it kind of shows the versatility of the suit.
You know, I can do other things in it if I wanted to.
However, it did get extremely hot.
You know, considering this thing is long sleeve
and it's, you know, made out of like kind of like that underarm material.
And then after the gym session, you know, being super hot,
stuck in the suit and just kind of feeling the weight,
I was kind of really starting to get like irritable
and that like over that overtraining irritability.
If you've kind of ever been there.
But with the addition of just like weighing an extra couple of pounds
and feeling all like bound up in this thing,
the rest of the day was kind of a wash.
And then the seventh day, the final day of this experiment,
I was like, all right, this is one more day.
Let's push through. We got this.
So I wore the suit for the first little bit, went out to the store.
And when I did, I actually switched into my sweatshirt
with the weights in the pockets,
which is actually kind of the most uncomfortable, to be honest with you.
I tried my best just to be one with the suit,
recover with the suit, become the suit.
So that, you know, when I take this thing off,
it's just like an immediate loss of weight.
And that leads me to today,
the day I finally take the suit off and test my jump height and performance.
This is it. This is the moment I've been waiting for.
I'm okay. I'm just getting ready.
Did my jump height increase?
Did something else improve significantly?
How much does the suit actually weigh?
And what else happened that you might want to know?
First of all, my jump height. Let's take a look.
So this right here is my best attempt right before doing this weight suit experiment.
Wham.
Hit the rim a little bit with the tips of my fingers.
Sorry about the angle discrepancy.
Anyways, here we go.
Same shoes, same shirt, same shorts.
This is the best take after the weight suit experiment.
What'd he missed?
He missed.
What? No.
But there's something I really need to point out.
And don't just click away yet,
because there's something else that happened that you're going to want to see.
At least I think it's pretty phenomenal.
Anyways, first of all, let's take a look at these two side-by-side.
So if we look at the side-by-sides,
to be honest, the height of the jump seems close to the same.
But if we look at the run-up, the angle of approach, or blocking.
Blocking is the angle of approach into the jump when you're doing a run-up.
It's essentially putting your feet out, ideally at about a 45 degree angle,
and then absorbing that horizontal momentum and turning that into vertical momentum.
Anyways, how does it relate to this?
Take a look at the run-up in the before and the after here.
Did you catch that?
Okay, watch.
Watch right here and pause.
Look at that.
So the before, my blocking setup, look at this angle.
Look at the after.
I'm almost straight up and straight down.
And then check this out.
If I go frame by frame here,
on the takeoff, like you can see in the before,
I'm absorbing that horizontal momentum.
And then right at the takeoff, I'm vertical.
Now at the takeoff in the after, I'm like leaning forward.
So I'm missing out on that horizontal momentum.
I also may have just missed the rim because
my timing's off from my takeoff point.
I'm going more forward, so I'm like missing the peak.
It appears I almost peaked in the after.
It's like right underneath the rim.
So it was very surprising to me on the after day here,
because I did feel like snappy, poppy, jumpy.
I felt like I had flight, you know what I'm saying?
But then when I went to go try to attempt to touch the rim,
like I just, I wasn't hitting it.
But now looking at the before and after side by side,
I can clearly see for some reason, my timing was all wrong.
Did the suit mess up my timing?
To be honest, I don't think the suit messed up my timing.
But in regards to this experiment,
I think maybe the nerves got to me.
Like I just felt so good, felt so jumpy that I'm like,
this is it.
And for some reason, those nerves got my jump all,
timing all messed up.
Now anyways, both of those jumps from before and after
are not as good as my all time high, boom,
where I basically grabbed the rim.
Now this was taken from around August last year.
And this was when my jump was getting really good
before I injured my back, before my jump went to poo.
But you can see the blocking in the all time high for me
is like the setup's really good.
The sore is nice.
I basically almost like grabbed the rim like that.
So that was like my best of all time.
But I feel like I'm getting back to that now.
My back is feeling a lot better.
My jumps are a lot better.
And here's a huge catch you're going to want to know.
In this previous all time high, I was around 190 pounds,
plus or minus.
Now I'm over 200 pounds right now
in these before and after jumps.
So if I'm around 200 pounds
and I'm getting close to where I was before, dude.
Okay, now here's the part that really got me.
And I wish I would have taken a better before.
Well, I didn't take any before measurement for this one,
but my speed in a sprint.
So after I took these after jump measurements,
I kind of went to the park
and I decided to run some barefoot sprints.
And dude, I felt like a rocket, man.
Look at that maniac.
I know it's probably nothing compared
to some of you track athletes out there.
Heck, just any of you other athletes out there.
But for me personally, I've always been a slow sprinter.
But man, holy smokes.
I felt so fast, so fast.
I want to say that's probably the fastest in a sprint
I've ever felt in my entire life out of nowhere.
By the way, I know that form is terrible.
Like the body's just like...
And then my flips also felt snappy and poppy
after all that jumping and sprinting.
Like I was still able to just like jump some flips.
Yeah, I was really sore the next day, by the way.
So we kind of have some inconclusive results with the jump.
In my opinion, my speed is way up, way up.
Just spontaneously, it seems like out of nowhere
after wearing this for a week.
Like my speed is mind boggling to me.
Maybe not to your thinking like,
dude, you're slow and you look like an idiot running.
But I'm telling you, I've been sprinting here and there
over the last years, even when I was lighter than this.
Way lighter.
And it's never been this fast.
Okay, now you're probably wondering,
and I'm sorry I didn't mention this earlier,
but how much does this suit actually even weigh?
Based on my measurements,
the top is about two and a half pounds
and the bottom is about 1.5 pounds
for a total of four pounds.
Now I think size of the suit would probably play into that,
but I got largest for both of these.
So both of these, I got a large for.
And if you're looking into getting this,
I'm about 5'11 to six foot on a really good day
and 200 pounds, by the way.
So yeah, those fit nice and tight,
which I kind of wanted them a little tight
because I didn't want them to be flopping
all over the place.
So speaking about the suit itself,
in my opinion, I do think they could make this
or maybe another version of this a little bit heavier.
I think they could do it.
I feel like this is dispersed really well
and it's not like anything's flopping around
too hard, too much.
I think they could get away with maybe a little bit
more weight on there if they wanted to.
But I gotta be real, I feel like four pounds
is actually significant when you're wearing it around
all day long like I was,
or heck, even just with a plyometric or a speed session.
You can feel the weight when you're really trying
to pump the arms and even the legs.
So I will be training with the suit going forward.
In fact, for the next month, starting right now,
every session that it contains plyometrics
and or some kind of speed,
I will be training with the suit.
I feel like it's a missed opportunity
if I'm not using this thing, to be honest with you.
And I'm really gonna put it to the test
over the next month.
And I'm planning on making a video,
hopefully showcasing some major improvements.
So stay tuned for that.
This entire suit is pretty much made out of mostly polyester
and then it has 11% spandex in there.
So 89% polyester, 11% spandex.
But in my opinion, if you were gonna go the natural route
as a manufacturer and try to make this out
of organic cotton, heck, even laced with spandex
to give it a little bit of elasticity,
based on the experience I've had over several months now,
experimenting with different types
of organic cotton clothing,
this is another topic completely in itself.
Let me know if you want me to make a video on this.
On my opinion, based on what I've seen
and based on my washing methods,
which might not be the best,
but I like to get things done.
Well, in my opinion, if this was made
with even just regular cotton, even with spandex,
it wouldn't hold up as well in the wash.
Also, it probably wouldn't be as moldable to the body.
So I feel like in this case,
a polyester material is probably the best
for the longevity of the product,
because this isn't a cheap product.
So yeah, if you're kind of like hippie mode,
like I am with different fabrics and you're like,
bro, wait a minute,
this is contradicting your previous thoughts
and whatnot.
Well, I just got to make that clear
based on what I've experimented with
over the last several months.
Like in my opinion, if it was any other fabric,
like a natural fabric,
it would, I don't think it would hold up
at all in the wash.
Heck, even with the athletic movement.
So I think polyester is acceptable here.
And you saw, we wash this thing basically every day.
And to be honest, like, look at this.
Nothing has fallen off it.
It is all completely together.
And it is seeming like I'm really advertising
this suit like they paid me a big lump sum of money,
but I want to make it clear right now,
this is not a paid advertisement.
This was not a sponsored video.
I actually purchased this with my own money.
But with that being said,
I am reaching out to them right now,
trying to see if they have an affiliate program.
Cause I didn't see one on their website,
at least when I'm looking.
So if I do get into their affiliate program,
if they do have one,
which I would totally like because I like the product,
then I will leave my affiliate link in the description,
which would give me a small commission
and hopefully provide you guys with a discount.
I don't know how their program works
if they even have one.
I just want to say,
I just really like this product a lot.
So it would be a missed opportunity
if I didn't try to go and find their affiliate program.
So sorry to blabber on so much.
I just felt like I had so much to say
and I guess I like to talk.
Going forward,
I will be wearing this while training plyometrics
for the next month especially.
Hopefully we'll get some good results.
Hopefully I get my timing back on point.
Hope you guys enjoyed this video.
Stay tuned.
I have more videos coming out.
I hope you all have a great day.
Don't forget to subscribe.
Turn those notifications on.
Peace.
I will see you all in the next video.
