Giant Hemlock Fully Wired - Greenwood Bonsai

Hello, welcome to the Greenwood Bonsai Studio here today. A couple of weeks ago we made a video showing you this hemlock Bonsai and then over here we have another A tree that's been in the studio for a few days waiting for me to work on it. It's a very large hemlock. It must be about I'd say it's about 1.3 meters high. You can see it's starting to lift. It's one that came in from a I was a private collector and I wanted wiring and shaping and You saw me do a little pruning on it early on in a previous video And I've spent the last few days just on and off between doing other jobs Just getting it wired and shaped into position. So it's just finished now and there's just a few little bits and pieces that I've been trimming it off just to clean it up and it's now going to I'm going to go out on the bench for sale, but I just wanted to Before it left my studio I wanted to show you This tree now for the next The next growing season needs to fill up a little more. We've tried to get more definition. to the branches and start to develop these foliage pads. So we have a kind of skeleton arrangement We're going to build on them next year. The tree is also a little bit more dense to them. You can see down here it's starting to lift itself up out of the This handmade pot and really that needs a dressing. It's going to go into a So for the last I've probably spent a few days Eight maybe eight or ten hours in between Other jobs just wiring and shaping this tree just to get it to this It's not a major styling change. And I just want to get it in shape get the structure and restore the balance and start working on the On something like this it's probably a Two-year process to get it to the stage we want it to be So sometimes you just have to jump back a little to go forward. So we've been working with it now we've got it to this kind of stage We'll bring it back in the spring. We'll re-pot it in a new pot and if it's still here at that stage Then we'll do a follow-up video and show you that. But we're just in the studio today we just got a kind of 10 minute break We're basically just waiting for a delivery of trees. To sell in the run-up to Christmas so we're about We're pretty tidy here in the studio but we're just expecting a couple of Thousands of trees are coming any minute so this is going to be I just got a little bit of space to put those trees in.
