Hopefully that will give you some blessings and attributes for your future life in terms of health.
So when we talk about tea, we must get to know Shenlong.
Shenlong spent his whole life researching and testing plants, performing herbal medicine for people.
So in 5,000 years, probably you have 10,000 photos of that tea.
And the only thing different, the only thing the same, is you can see the photo.
Either you hold a plant or mouth to bite the plant.
So that means his whole life researching herbal medicine.
So from he found it until the next 2,500 years, tea was a detoxifier and an antibiotic used in China.
And the first record of Shenlong and tea was in 1123 B.C.
It says Shenlong drank tea to detoxify himself while he poisoned by testing people's plants.
So that is the real history of tea.
In terms of the tea culture, and everybody is probably famous,
there is a person named Auguste Lung.
I pronounce Asian because I'm Chinese.
And he is the tea driver and the reference and franchise in the research, education and the marketing of tea.
And he has such impact in the tea industry for over 1,300 years.
And another major tea driver, very much important in the culture revolution, is the name of Woodington.
Year 53 B.C. is the Qihan Dynasty.
Woodington cultivated and replanted the chameleon seeds.
So they drive the tea growing region by the coming Qing Dynasty and the Song Dynasty,
which is technology in the farming and the manufacturing process are booming.
So tea culture has been expanded dramatically.
And a lot of other many cultures, tea culture at that time, not just expanded to China, but also expanded to Japan.
So for almost 2,000 years, tea has been still kept the same in Japan.
And it's very famous, everybody knows about tea.
But that was the thing also, including the costumes and wear usually.
It's all from the Qing Dynasty.
With the Silk Road, tea also went to international markets all throughout the world.
But it had a big impact in the early 16th century.
In 1608, the first tea trade boat arrived in Poland.
So that is a really stark tea culture into the western continent.
And the whole Dutch actually keep it the same as a healthy drink for people.
And at that time in the western continent, everybody was able to give it a great name for its oriental honey or oriental tea.
So basically, for people who have problems with health, particularly with digestion of the stomach or nausea,
that's why the western still has a great impact today.
So with the marketing of the Dutch where it started, tea eventually went to many countries like Portugal, Spain, France, and Russia.
And only English took some of it, because coffee was fashion in British at the time.
So tea is of a similar nature.
That's why British became a product of England.
And because tea was a very sensitive item, and that's why the British wanted to control the global tea industry
and take the seed opportunity.
So they were having a war battle between England and the Dutch in the late 17th century and in China still.
So of course, the British won, and that was a good pay for international.
And the other thing, in the nature of England also, because tea is an up-class drink for health elements,
the Duchess of Bedford, she actually has a great problem,
and then because of her position, and also because of her fashion,
so this concept of tea and the Dutch only became a recognition in England.
And by the coming 18th century, the industrial revolution, so the easy-to-drink,
every factory, every office.
So tea has become globalized.
So I have to say that England is down to the second-greatest tea producer in the world,
because they have really much tea.
Today, tea has the 690 category, and with more than 22,500 people who buy tea,
and with 25,000 cups per second globally consumed per day.
So it has become a second beverage.
And scientists are finding almost 400 nutritional benefits of tea,
and in particular, it is anti-oxidant, and keeps you young and excited.
And also anti-cancer as well.
This is a non-Western scientist finding, too.
And also, the hydro-nutrients are there.
So that was actually great for the public,
for people drinking drunk tea all over.
This element is fantastic.
Most famous, the tea-over-health product,
is all due to this element.
Unfortunately, with technology change,
the lifestyle becomes quicker and faster.
People want the easy stuff,
whilst others really prefer the fast stuff.
So tea consumption in the past decade has been tremendously reduced,
including people.
And of course, last year should have been 2020,
and then everyone stayed home and drank a lot of tea.
But actually, tea, coffee, and also alcohol,
also drink a lot.
So gradually, still, tea consumption has dropped,
because the purpose of drinking away coffee
has some sort of status.
People think they just relax,
just sit with their things,
while I drink tea,
or rather, pour the coffee and make one sit down.
Coffee is easy.
That's it, and move away.
But people don't realise,
to spend a lot of time on a lamp,
it can't lead society at the speed of light,
because there's no light.
So with the solution,
it works to study stress,
and people do spend a lot of time looking for answers.
But a lot of them just don't get really delivered.
But they are actually from the bottom up.
Tea is there,
everybody is surrounded by tea.
The regular tea trees have been completely cut down.
And the other hand with technology,
it's also pushing by-products
in the direction of development.
So that into food,
into beauty and cosmetics,
even health supplements,
medicine,
it's already started happening.
So in the short future,
I reckon in the next few five years,
tea is not just a tea leaf,
it's become a product.
So hopefully,
with all of that contribution,
the third peak of innovation is going to start,
and hopefully we can get into it.
And that is the history and the culture being changed.
And now,
in green tea.
The traditional tea,
now that we're working on it,
in today's way,
we're going to be able to do it.
So of course,
the traditional tea is green tea.
The reason to do green tea
is the last annual festival.
The tea leaf has almost 25%
of the nutrition
for the whole body.
But the green tea,
because we need to keep it fresh,
so they need to have a process
to stop the enzymes active.
So it keeps it fresh
and it keeps the nutrition.
So they need a process called filtering.
The tradition of filtering
is they use the stem.
They put it in the tray
and steam it up
and then roll it
and dry it.
And so,
in Japan,
probably 99% of Japanese people
all drink green tea.
And as I mentioned to you before,
orangutans contribute to the cultivation.
So tea started traveling
from the Yangtze River
up to the west and north,
higher, west and higher,
which is the Sichuan province
and also the Yunnan province.
So they use the climate
and they use the sunshine
to do that same thing.
And they travel down
to the east,
which is the Anhui, Sichuan province,
and they use the dried rice.
Dried rice.
The reason to dry rice
is hundreds of years ago,
up to 180 million years ago,
they don't use the dried rice
to make tea.
So the reason to do that
is they need the tea to press in,
the tea to come
and leave in a certain shape.
So I use the Longjing tea
in a lot of black plants,
long stick,
so the leaves keep black.
And the other is also famous
for beautiful pearl tea.
So they need to roll it up,
so the same process
can be done
to make the tea shape.
And further down to the south,
the Fujian province
that's located
and the reason
is because the Fujian province
is very humid
and the tea leaves
quickly degrade.
So green tea has
four different processes,
but the majority,
as I mentioned,
keep up with the climate.
So as I mentioned,
the fresh leaves
keep up with the climate.
So ideally,
after making them,
they kept up with the climate.
And of course,
that's why
drinking,
or even wanting to drink green tea,
scrumptiously,
is green tea.
So it's fresh leaves,
it's healthy,
it's good for you,
it's good for your health.
So the second one
is we put white tea
and also further down
is a yellow tea.
We use this
as a black tea.
The only difference
between that
10% to 20%
and yellow tea
is that
yellow tea
when it's produced
as white tea.
But the beauty
with this process
is it actually
brings the
reduced caffeine
but of course also
a little bit,
but the main thing
is the amino acid
and vitamin C,
particularly vitamin C
out of the tea.
So for example,
for people
we always say
when we've got a cold
we drink that
and I do really scrumptious
tea, but you can't
buy a white tea.
It's terrible.
It's bad for your health
but it's still
much better.
And also the white tea
is also great
for eyesight
in particular
with fatigue.
And so,
I mean not just cure
but if you keep
producing it
that 18%
so the middle
further down through
is what we
call
reason we call
it
a savvy
so when you're
producing from the green
leaves
there's usually
a combustible bed
on the spot
on top of the middle
of the leaf
or the edge.
So when blending together
you can see
the colour
but it has
a very famous
effect
So Oolong tea
has the nature
of green tea
but also
the process
of black tea
It's one of the
most popular teas
usually in China
to produce
Gong Fu tea
is used
to produce
Oolong tea
Oolong tea has
the four different
types
One is
from the
northern region
of Fujian
It's called
Anxi Tieguanyin
It's from
a very far north
and then further
down to the south
it's a very famous
rocky mountain
in Yunnan
and very famous
for Oolong tea
So that was
actually
because they
had a
different way
of making it
and created
by
the person
who actually
did the
invention
that's why
it's very famous
for the
Oolong tea
I'll tell you
because tea
like that
is
the best
tea
when you
a
quality
tea
in
country
So for
instance
in
6,000
kilometers
from
Yunnan
you
have
the
best
tea
in the
country
So in
2013
one
bag
of 20
grams
of
for
about
60,000
dollars
So that
is what
the Bahus
are
precious
about
and
the
flavor
is very
charcoal
rich
and
really
quite
expensive
because
the key
road
area
the
black
tea
is
because
that
double
so
that
usually
tea
has
small
branches
actually
in terms
of
nutrition
and
the
health
and
because
looking
bad
and
also
taste
so
that
is
what
the
Bahus
has
small
branches
actually
in
terms
of
nutrition
and
so
is
the
Bahus
has
in
and
taste
so
that
is
what
the
Bahus
has
small
branches
actually
in
terms
of
taste
so
that
what
the
Bahus
has
small
in
of
taste
small
in
terms
taste
so
that
is
what
Bahus
has
in
terms
of
taste
so
that
is
the
Bahus
has
in
terms
that
is
what
the
Bahus
taste
so
that
what
the
Bahus
has
in
terms
so
that
is
what
the
has
in
terms
taste
so
that
is
what
the
has
in
taste
so
that
is
what
the
Bahus
has
in
terms
taste
so
that
is
what
has
terms
taste
so
that
is
what
the
Bahus
has
in
terms
of
taste
so
that
is
what
the
Bahus
has
so
that
is
what
the
Bahus
has
in
taste
so
that
is
what
the
has
terms
taste
so
that
is
what
the
Bahus
has
terms
so
is
the
Bahus
has
in
terms
of
taste
so
that
is
what
the
Bahus
of
taste
so
that
the
Bahus
has
in
terms
is
the
Bahus
of
taste
so
that
what
the
Bahus
has
terms
of
taste
so
that
is
what
the
Bahus
has
is
what
the
Bahus
has
in
terms
taste
so
is
so
that
is
has
terms
of
taste
so
that
is
Bahus
has
taste
so
that
is
what
the
Bahus
has
in
terms
of
taste
so
that
is
what
the
Bahus
has
in
of
so
is
the
Bahus
has
in
that
is
the
