Hi everyone, it's Jennifer from FiberFlux.
In this video, I will show you how to single crochet two stitches together.
This is abbreviated in a lot of patterns as SC2TOG, S-C-2-T-O-G.
So if you come across that in patterns, here's what you do.
We're going to be turning two stitches into one stitch.
So I just have a little swatch of single crochet already made.
So what you want to do is insert your hook into the stitch and bring up a loop.
You'll have two loops on your hook.
Insert your hook into the next stitch and bring up a loop.
You'll have three loops on your hook.
Wrap the yarn around the hook and bring it through all three loops.
We've just transformed two stitches into one stitch.
Let's do that one more time.
Insert your hook into the stitch, bring up a loop.
Insert your hook into the next stitch and bring up a loop.
Wrap the yarn around the hook, bring it through all three loops.
And you've just completed the single crochet two together.
Let's do that one more time.
Insert the hook into the stitch, bring up a loop.
Two loops on your hook.
Insert the hook into the stitch, next stitch, bring up a loop.
Three loops on your hook.
Yarn around the hook, bring it through all three loops.
And that is how you work the single crochet two together.
