Homer was born somewhere between 1200 BC and 750 BC,
but historians still argues to that date as there is no exact record.
His birth was before the development of modern calendar
so we can guess his age by events of that time.

and Greek was also fortunate for having great knowledge body.
And Homer was one of them.

One epic poem of Homer was Iliad written between 750 BC and 850 BC.

while other historians claims to have found the remains of Troy.
In Western Turkey, the other epic poem which Homer is known for is Odyssey
which is believed to be written between 725 to 675.
This story is after the fall of Troy and about a man named Odysseus
and his journey to home after war.

The style of storytelling was much more impressive and great that continued for the centuries.
But Homer was a man who surrounded himself with mysteries.
As many historians believed that Odysseus was written by a group of writers not Homer himself.
The evidences which support this fact are that Iliad was written in a much formal language

Moreover, there is also a perception that Iliad and Odyssey are written in a hundred years gap.
