Behind me, you can see the staff of Prophet Musa "peace be upon him"
And alongside it is his snake
This is also the final point beyond which
Prophet Musa "peace be upon him" was not allowed to go further into the Holy Land
And from this point onward, Bani Israel wandered in the desert for 40 years,
As Allah had destined them to be lost
We are currently at a place called mount Nebo
And the jews come here for pilgrimage
Which is one of the pilgrimage sites for the them
So today, we will try to learn about this place in detail
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Peace be upon you as well as the mercy of Allah
I am Zubair Riaz from Medina Munawwrah
First of all Durood and salam
O Allah, bless our Prophet, Our Beloved our Master Muhammad, his
family and companions, may Allah bless him and grant him peace
I am currently at Jabal Nebo in Jordan, and below me lies the Dead Sea
Beyond this point lies all of Palestine
From here, if the weather is clear and there are no clouds
You can see Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock while standing at this spot
When Prophet Musa "peace be upon him"
Following Allah's command
Brought Bani Israel here to save them from Pharaoh and his oppression
The purpose was to return to the Promised Land, Palestine
From where
Bani Israel
Where Prophet Ya'qub "Peace be upon him" is considered to be from
Upon reaching here, Prophet Musa "peace be upon him addressed his people and said
(Quranic verses)
"O my people, here Prophet Musa "peace be upon him" stood
Exactly where, Allah knows best
And said: 'O my people, the Promised Land is before you.'"
[Quranic verses]
Look, ahead of you, I want to remind you,
Just as Allah Almighty had spoken about Talut (peace be upon him)
[Quranic verses]
For you
Here too Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) said to his people:
[Quranic verses]
'Indeed, Enter this blessed land that Allah has commanded for you
Means for you
Prophet Musa "peace be upon him" said to his people,
[Quranic verses]
"And do not turn back or you will be in loss,"
However, Bani Israel, as usual, raised objections after this
[Quranic verses]
"O Musa, there is a nation living there with great giants, who are very powerful
[Quranic verses]
We will never enter that land until they leave
What happened after that?
[Quranic verses]
After that
Who were the people who raised objections?
They were the 12 leaders (nukabāʾ), each representing their own tribe
They returned, and said to Prophet Musa"peace be upon him"
We will not enter the land
After that, two men stood up
[Quranic verses]
Two men from among those who feared Allah stood up and said
[Quranic verses]
Enter through the gate
[Quranic verses]
"And place your trust in Allah
When you enter the gate, Allah will help you, and you will surely be successful
Upon this, the people of Bani Israel said
[Quranic verses]
O Prophet Musa (peace be upon him), "We will never enter
As long as those powerful people are there in Palestine
This land, which is now known as Palestine
Was called Al-Ard al-Muqaddasa (the Blessed Land) at that time
After this, the insolent ones among them said
[Quranic verses]
They said, "O Musa, you and your Lord go and fight them
The people who live there
[Quranic verses]
They said, "We are sitting here, and we are not moving from this place
This reflected the stubbornness of Bani Israel
Meaning, they just have been saved
And even before that, they had started worshiping the golden calf
Their feet hadn't even dried
I also made a video at this location, which is in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia
If you have not watched that video, you should definitely watch it
So that you can understand the history of Bani Israel and Musa "peace be upon him"
Which is mentioned in the Quran Sharif
After that, Prophet Moses "Peace be upon you" became deeply saddened
And raised his hands, praying to Allah
[Quranic verses]
He said, "O Allah, I am only responsible for myself and my brother
You are the one who will distinguish between us and the disobedient ones."
[Quranic verses]
Then Allah, the Almighty, said
[Quranic verses]
"O Moses, I have declared the Holy Land
Forbidden for the Children of Israel for forty years
From this point onward, Allah did not grant permission
Neither Prophet Musa (PBUH) nor the Children of Israel were allowed to enter.
[Quranic verses]
Allah said, "The disobedient ones will wander in the land for forty years."
Means the entire desert area, including regions like Saudi Arabia and Jordan
Where they would wander aimlessly
[Quranic verses]
"O Musa, do not be saddened by the fate of this rebellious nation."
Following this, Allah continued to speak to His Prophet
[Quranic verses]
The story of Habil (Abel) and Qabil (Cain) is mentioned in Surah Al-Ma'idah
After that, there are numerous punishments and rewards described for the criminals
[Quranic verses]
Anyway, all those details are not related to the occasion
So, this was the place related to the story mentioned in the Quran
Behind me, you can see the arrow pointing to the church and the synagogue
Which were constructed approximately in the 5th century CE
Let me show you its remnants from inside
And then we’ll come outside to provide you with all the details
It was modified in the 1932, meaning during this era
Let’s head inside
Where the ancient remnants and structures built over this land in those times
I’ll show you all that
Come along with me
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Thus, we have entered inside the church
Here, you will find both ancient and modern remnants
As we step inside,
You can see all the artifacts and structures from ancient times right here
And this is mosaic art
Which I was talking to you about
The ancient map of the Holy Land is also created using mosaic art like this
These are different areas of the church
Let me take you further in this direction
Which, in that era
They created paintings of animals and such from these small pieces.
Let me show you
And after restoration,
This system was designed to protect them so that they remain preserved
Do you see the pillar?
Here, if you look this way, you can see the different animals from their time
They have been given a practical form here
This tomb, located directly beneath the church
Was discovered approximately 15 years ago during excavation
However, at that time, no physical remains were found below
Rather, the coins from the Byzantine era have been discovered here
All the Jews come here to visit this tomb
Some people believe that it might belong to Prophet Musa "peace be upon him"
This tomb was discovered in 2009
Those who were excavating here further at that time
When the renovations of this new synagogue you see were ongoing
These are the relics from that time; this graves was found by them then
However, it cannot be definitively stated that
This is the grave of Prophet Musa "peace be upon him" Allah know best
Yes, I know there is another location in Palestine where they claim
To have identified the grave of Prophet Musa (peace be upon him)
Regarding both sites, it is impossible to make a conclusive statement with certainty
When it's time for Christian prayers
This church is still in active use for worship, and people come here to pray.
You will also see remnants of the old church, as they are visible beneath,
With mosaic art. Are you seeing this?
There, too, you will see all the staircase-like structures
And at back these are the old wall. Above, you will find remnants from the newer era
Subhan'Allah, see
And if you look in this direction, you will notice some inscriptions in front
On the other side, you will find more artifacts inside the church
Additionally, down below you will see
A painting of fruits and birds has been created with the mosaic art
If you can see
There are olives, dates, I think, and you will find different types here
So, you've seen the inside of the church
Regarding the grave of Prophet Musa "PBUH", there is a lot of disagreement
However, there is a Hadith
The Prophet "Peace be upon him" said, as narrated by Abu Hurairah "PBUH"
That during his journey to Masjid Al-Aqsa,
Allah showed me the grave of Prophet Musa (peace be upon him)
Near Al Kasib Al Ahmar (Red sand Dune)
Where he was praying in his grave at that time.
This entire area is part of the Al-Kasib Al-Ahmar region
There is another location in Palestine where it is claimed to be
The burial site of Prophet Musa (peace be upon him)
However, regarding both locations, a definitive conclusion is unknown to anyone
Because there is a specific place that the Prophet of Allah had mentioned
That if you were with me, I would have shown you the grave of Musa
The exact location of the grave of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) is unknown
[Arabic]
Similarly, the final resting places of other prophets
Are also not definitively known,
Except for that of the Prophet Muhammad "peace be upon him"
"Because there has been a continuous historical narrative,
This area, known as mount Nebo, which you see behind
Was rebuilt in 1932
After being abandoned for a while due to the wars that occurred here
This, or the other matters related to the world, were due to this reason
So now we have arrived here, at this place
Where there is a statue of the staff of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him)
Along with it, there is a snake placed on it
And I want to show you the inscription written below here."
[Arabic]
This is written in their sacred books,
That just as Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) raised the snake on his staff,
In the same way, humanity should be raised up
So that, in return for this reverence, Allah Almighty will grant you a good life
Basically, the meaning of this verse from their books is that
When the Children of Israel refused to go and fight for the conquest of Jerusalem
So, Allah sent a punishment of serpents upon them in the desert
When Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) prayed
Allah instructed him to hang a serpent on his staff and place it like this
"So, the tradition is that whoever among the Jews was bitten by a serpent
As they looked at the staff of Prophet Moses "PBUH", they would be healed
This is one of the narrations."
And there is also a narration
That when the snakes saw this serpent, they would flee and run away from there
The reminder you see here,
Which is related to the staff of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him)
Has been shaped like a cross
Similar to the
Crucifixion symbol associated with Prophet Isa "peace be upon him"
Prophet Isa Peace be upon him was believed by them to have been martyred on the cross
Although we do not accept this belief
This shape was created by an architect named Italian artist
"From here, you can see Jerusalem if the weather is clear
However, also this time when we have come
The weather is covered with clouds and is not clear
I think, as a suggestion for them,
If they place a telescope here,
It would make it much easier to view Jerusalem from this spot
Since we cannot enter
At least we should be able to see it from here
I believe they should consider adding this
So, the entire area you are looking at is mount Nebo
Everything you see here is part of it
And over there, in front, is the Dead Sea
From there, you can see that
This side is within the Jordan, and beyond that is occupied Palestine
Here, Israel is currently present
And directly in front is Al-Maqdis
Where Prophet Isa "peace be upon him" in the water
Is believed to have baptized or purified by Prophet Yahya "peace be upon him"
I am not sure of the exact wording in Urdu
In Arabic, this act is referred to as 'Al-Mikdas'
Which is practiced by every Christian community as part of their worship
Okay
And in front, you might see some parts of the River of Jordan. From this direction
Brother Usman, you were asking a question
The event I was mentioning about the 40 years,
When Allah Almighty forbade the Children of Israel
What was the question?
My question was, the verse in the Quran
[Arabic]
Speak in Urdu
What happened after the 40 years ended
What happened after that?
Then, after that, there was still a battle
And it was Joshua "peace be upon him" who led them to victory
Insha'Allah, I will take you all to that place, and for my viewers as well
I will take them there in another vlog, Insha'Allah
He is the only prophet for whom, as you know,
Allah Almighty halted the sun on Friday so that the sunset would not occur
-Ask why? -Why
Should we not tell it after going there?
We will explain it in the next vlog, as the noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said
[Hadith]
That Allah Almighty has never stopped the sun for anyone
Except for the victory of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him)
[Quranic verses]
Moses (peace be upon him) told his servant
Why that the sun was halted for them?
Because they were fighting in jihad to enter Jerusalem
Insha'Allah, we will explain that event with tafseer (exegesis) over there
Here, on top of the mountain, different types of olive trees have been planted,
Many prominent people who come here
But there is a tree here that they have kept separately
The Pope, during his visit in 2000, planted these trees here
After 25 years, this is the condition here, as you can see
There are also some olive fruits on top, which you can see
This was its condition at that time. Now, after pausing it, you can read it here
As you keep walking,
You will find traces of ancient times, where there was once a settlement
Meaning, the remnants of a place of worship will be found both outside and inside
This is a museum, and here I will show you the route of the pilgrimage for the Jews
How their pilgrimage route is
You can see the 'Tariq Al-Hujjaj Min Al-Quds,
Or mount Nebo
Which shows that in those times, later when Bayt al-Maqdis was conquered
The Jews used to come here to perform their pilgrimage on top of this mountain
The reason for this was that, as they had denied (the truth)
They later realized the sins they had committed in ancient times
To atone for those sins, they used to come to this mountain as a form of pilgrimage
Meaning they came here intentionally
They would come to visit this mountain
And the path to it has been shown here
This is the judicial area where we were standing
Where does it lead upward? Somewhere around here, we used to stand
Below us are the Dead Sea, which I showed you from above
And beyond that is the entire area of Jerusalem, and here is Bayt al-Maqdis
So from here, the Jews used to come this way
This is the Jordan River, which you can see
And somewhere around here is the designated place of Prophet Isa "peace be upon him"
Insha'Allah, we will also try to show you that as well
So this is all part of mount Nebo and the Red Hill."
Al-Kasib al-Ahmar which I used to tell you, it's meaning is
A mound of red soil, in one sense, is what I am explaining
This is the original color you are seeing of mount Nebo
These are the pieces of mosaic art
In Arabic it refer as Al-Fusaye Fisa
They are small stones of different colors
That were used to create engravings and patterns in those ancient times
You can see how small stones were used to create paintings in those times
These paintings looked exactly like this back then
However, with time, it has changed
This is a new one they have made, based on the style of ancient times
"This mount Nebo, in ancient times,
[Arabic]
Were people assigned here to protect the holy sites like Palestine, etc
There used to be a cave here as well
Its door during the Byzantine era was this
Meaning it was opened and closed with a stone
So, Allah knows best I have not seen it personally
But the door was brought here
Which you can see
You can see it here. Behind me, you can see the place of Prophet Musa "PBUH"
As I mentioned, the death of Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) occurred in these areas
But Allah knows best. We do not know the exact location
Nobody knows for certain, even regarding the grave in Palestine
There is no definitive opinion
That Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) is buried there. Allah knows best.
There's one more thing I want to show you
These are three hands that have been made
If you look here, this is one, this is two, and this is three
"Basically, these three hands represent the three Abrahamic religions
[Quranic verses]
The symbols of the three hands
Judaism, Christianity, and Islam
In this regard, three hand marks have been indicates here
his has been made later; it's a new creation
I hope that
About mount Nebo, the history of the Israelites and Prophet Musa PBUH
I have provided you with the details regarding
The incident mentioned in the Qur'an
I have provided you with the details regarding
[Quranic verses]
Allah Almighty says: We will narrate you the best of stories
This is the story from the Qur'an. I hope you all liked it
