Hello everyone, my name is Mohan Hamza and I'm a student at
University of West London. My student ID is 21600969
and I'm currently pursuing Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
So today my topic is about AI in healthcare transforming
patient care. So this presentation will explore how
AI is revolutionizing patient care focusing on its functionalities
Let's get started. So an overview of AI in
healthcare enhances how care is delivered through three functionalities.
First, predictive diagnostic. Second, personalized treatment plans and third
operational efficiencies. Now the three key functionalities or
applications. The first one, predictive diagnostic. For
example, AI can analyze medical genetic
medical genetic data to predict Alzheimer's diseases
years before symptoms appear, giving patients an early advantage for
intervention. Now the second is personalized treatment plans.
AI tailors treatment based on individual data.
In cancer care for instance, AI analyzes genetic profiles to recommend
therapies most effective for the patient.
The third, operational efficiencies. Now AI hospital workflows by predicting
ambulance demand and managing patient flow,
ensuring timely care and efficient resource use.
Now for a demonstration, imagine a scenario
where AI potential disease recommends precise treatment and ensures hospital
resources are efficiently allocated all in real time.
These capabilities showcase how AI's transformation
brought potential in healthcare. So in the next slide, evolution
and impact of AI technology. Evolution AI in healthcare has involved significantly
starting with basic decision tools and advancing to deep learning models.
So capabilities of diagnosing diseases like cancer and
diabetic retinopathic. Major milestones include
integration of AI into radiology and the development of natural
language processing system for analyzing medical records.
What impact happened? The societal
implications are profound. AI reduces diagnostic errors, improves accessibility
and lowers healthcare costs. And the future prospects or the trajectory
looking ahead, AI is expected to further integrate with robotics for surgery and
wearable technologies for continuous health monitoring.
However, challenges such as data privacy and algorithm bias and ethical concerns
must be addressed to ensure equitable and responsible use.
To conclude, AI is truly transforming healthcare by enabling
earlier diagnosing, personalized care and optional excellence.
Understanding these technologies is truly crucial as it shapes the future
of patient healthcare and global healthcare delivery.
Thank you for listening.
