California True Colors Garden & Learning Center - the UC Master Gardeners

It was six phases, so it took us six years to complete. The plants have all done very well. We've continued to maintain them on a weekly basis or on an as-needed basis. The irrigation, which is actually soaker hoses, drip irrigation, has been excellent for us. We don't have to water a lot. We water approximately 20 minutes, about two times per week. And in the summer, we may have to increase some watering. The hardscape, we did have, of course, assistance from the Parks and Rec Department to put a lot of it in place. But for the majority of the work that has been done here in the garden, it has all been done with volunteer efforts through the Master Gardener organization. And we certainly are most grateful for our partner, Cayegas, and for the funding that they have provided to us for us to actually be able to procure the plants and get the other items that we need to keep the garden going.
