should all the quance be forgotten and
never brought to mind should all the qu
be forgotten and days of
all for all
L my for all
L we take a c of kindness yet for
207 on a Tuesday afternoon 508 9960 500
it is New Year's Eve and it is a
beautiful beautiful afternoon and as she
just heard Phil deit say should be okay
for the fireworks tonight but later on
in the evening there could be some rain
and um so keep that in mind if you're
going out uh partying later on and
um plan accordingly right bring an
umbrella with you but don't
drive you don't want to be on the roads
trying to drive and then have uh wet
roads and all that kind of stuff either
right you don't want you don't want to
do
that all right just before the break we
we got into a conversation about
something I mentioned in the first hour
and that is the fact that Puerto Rico is
experiencing a massive blackout on the
island and
could take two to four
days to uh to get everything back up and
running the the power company down there
says it's a uh an underground uh cable
they're investigating it and so on and
so forth but it could take a while power
grid in Puerto Rico has you know it's
like Fred
Flintstone Fred Flintstone's uh you know
uh a power grid it's that old and IND
just repair and they had a big hurricane
Maria back in
2017 and that further decimated it but
um it's been held together with Elmer's
Glue Scotch tape and you a few other
adhesives since then and has been much
done to repair it and U over the course
of the last few years there has been uh
um corruption prosecuted in Puerto Rico
the mayor of the
capital city
has been um indicted and I'm not quite
sure if
um what the results of the trial might
have been at this point I just I don't
recall um but in any event that has
happened and there is it's it's complete
the island is completely run by
democrats and um you know my question to
you and our good friend who calls us uh
who's a native of Puerto Rico you talked
about4 billion dollar in female money
being spent in Puerto Rico since Maria
um that's only a drop in the
bucket
and it's only a drop in the
bucket compared to all of the money that
we send there
annually and when you send money to gez
particularly one of your one of your own
provinces you would expect that the
money not only is being used
wisely um but it is there's some kind of
oversight and that somebody's making
sure that the money is being put to good
use and you obviously cannot
[Music]
uh count on the folks in
[Music]
um in the Puerto Rican government to do
that but what about here in the United
States isn't
anybody conducting any kind of over
oversight at all I mean look we're
sending billions down there for a a
power grid that we know has been you
know decimated since before the
hurricane in 2017 already in bad shape
and so we're going to spend billions of
dollars to upgrade the the power system
and it obviously we haven't done it and
they haven't done it and we haven't
checked we haven't said we're going to
withhold money until you get that power
system
fixed we haven't done that
so who's who's watching this is you know
this is the pisser about you know
government Aid going to places we send
money and we don't make sure that it's
being spent properly but you know the
other it's one thing you know you can
look at Puerto Rico and say you know the
the four folks in Puerto Rico they're
being screwed over by you know by the
United States is not taking care of them
this is their property why AR theying
care of well the people of Puerto Rico
are voting for the same Crooks the same
crooked
system they don't want change oh no we
got to keep the Democrats in the
Democrats have kept them in the shape
that they've been in for
years but yet they resist
change and they'll complain well the
United States hasn't taken good enough
care of us you know Washington isn't
taking good care of us we are property
after all of
the of the United States we should be we
should you know be be in good shape or
we're
not
so something needs to be
done
to make the system work better the
people in Puerto Rico deserve a a power
grid they can count on the United States
the people of the United States that
live here on the mainland deserve to
know that the money that they're sending
to PTO Rico is being spent
wisely I made the analogy in the last
hour about you know how the kind of
relationship between the United States
and Puerto Rico is like a you know a
divorce situation so you got you got
Daddy over here right and daddy and
mommy split up and then Daddy and Mommy
have a couple of kids so Daddy goes his
own way and he's sending sending the
alimony and the child support every
month as he's supposed to do but he's
not checking in to see how it's being
spent or that the kids are being brought
upright he just writing the checks and
then then just and Mommy On the other
hand's got a drinking problem and
Mommy's going out leaving the kids with
babysitters and stuff like that so she's
not exactly using the money wisely or or
raising their children properly so
you've got children that are being
caught up in the middle that are
suffering same thing with our
relationship with Puerto Rico you know
Daddy Uncle Sam is sending the
[Music]
um sending the
check totally ignoring how it's being
spent mommy on the other hand
is using the money for things other than
what it was intended
for not taking care of the children
just somebody needs to step in and
somebody needs to say that the
relationship between the mainland and
the island of Puerto Rico needs to
change there needs to be a change there
and and maybe we will do that through
the Doge do or Dodge however they
pronounce it and um and figure out a way
to get a
reliable infrastructure
to the people of Puerto Rico that the
citizens of America are paying for
including the Puerto Rican our Puerto
Rican brothers and sisters are paying
for and
deserve and we're not just throwing
money in the in the in the
ocean which continues to be the
situation but again you know the people
always have a responsibility the people
need to elect better
leadership in Puerto Rico or the island
they need to they need to elect better
leadership people that are going to be
responsible and
responsive and not corrupt and people
that are going to um perform
oversight and Puerto Rico has
representation in
Washington they're not voting members of
Congress but they are there why are they
not sounding the alarm why why does the
media not talk to people from Puerto
Rico nobody seems to care you know it's
like Haiti off the coast of uh it's not
a US property but I mean hades's off the
co we send billions of dollars to Haiti
too we don't give a damn what goes on
over there we don't care about
it if we don't want to be there maybe we
should get out of there I'm not quite
sure but
uh speaking about wasting our money
Immigration and Customs Enforcement ice
has ended two programs that provide
Social Services to illegal immigrants
who are released into the United States
interior telling lawmakers that one
brings immense cost with little
Improvement and that another is out of
line with Isis
Mission the agency responded to
representative Byron donals of Florida
and 15 members of Congress who wrote to
ice in May asking for more information
about the alternatives to detentions
program which monitors illegal
immigration not in ice detention the
um or illegal immigrants are not in ice
detention the agency defended the
program and said it was um an efficient
and effective program for monitoring a
segment of the illegal immigrants on
Isis non-detained
docket ice only has around 40,000 beds
available at one time and while it has a
um non-detained docket of nearly 7.7
million people a number that has soared
during the bid administ
ation 181,000 are enrolled in the
alternatives to detention monitoring
program where migrants are monitored
either by an app check or a GPS
monitor but in recent years the agency
has also created separate programs to
offer various services and assistance to
those not in detention in the letter the
agency says some of those programs are
ending one is the wraparound
stabilization service which ice says
began in February of 2020 and involves
working with NOS to offer services that
provide
psychosocial and behavioral health
support for vulnerable
immigrants and their families who would
benefit from additional stabilization
Services I say the program stopped
referrals in July and that the program
was ineffective
in what it sought to do having only a
2% higher compliance rate from those who
took part in Services compared to those
who did not it's amazing yet we can uh
keep on spending money uh for these
programs and um so I'm glad to see that
even before the new sheriff arrives in
Washington ice is taking steps to save
you and me money on these insane
programs initiated by this current
Administration 50899 60500 thanks for
hanging on you next to
wbsm oh hey Barry happy New Year Happy
New Year my friend how are you fine
thank you thanks yeah um when I'm done
with you at 3 o'cl I'm going to go
outside and plant my
garlic yeah this is the time of year you
plant your garlic um plant it in the
winter and it'll be done by uh late
June I oh
I'm sorry I didn't hear that last part
oh um you you plant it now you plant it
in the winter it's a cold it's a cold
plant a cold weather plant yep gar just
like broccoli
kale potatoes that's why broccoli and
potatoes grow well up in Maine um
including garlic but but you plant the
garlic now the cloves and I I just
opened up a clove I'm want to plant 12
little cloves out of a pole clove light
in my big pot outside I'm going to do
that when I after you're
done yeah I didn't know you could do
that yeah this is right right now every
year I plant my garlic right on the 31st
of
December okay well I'm learning
something new from talking to you I and
I I I love it that's what I love do
about doing this job I'm always learning
something new you learn something what
do you think's going to happen with the
atlas tax um is that is that ever going
to be taken down or from what I
understand all that's left there is the
office building there like a shell of
the office building and um I guess they
did a remedial cleanup there and
yeah I'm not sure the extent of the of
the environmental impact if it is still
um if it is still dangerous there I mean
I you know I would imagine that even
though I I don't think they did it like
an extensive cleanup like they did out
in the harbor that's taken years and
years and years I think it it was what
about a year year and a half that they
they took to clean up that site yes and
it's been what about eight nine years
now and they took that chimney down also
and I was a friend you remember the old
town bar over there right across the
bike pass where the and now they're on A
Street in East for
Haven yeah no I don't I don't remember
that no they were located there and my
friend Larry he bought that property oh
probably about 15 years ago and he was
the only only one that bid on it he got
it for a quarter million dollars right
across the old BPW land over there he
rents it out to small businesses and
stuff like that but he told me something
very interesting about 10 years ago
what's going to happen with that Atlas
taac bar the Steamship Authority has
rights to that property and even Larry's
property at the the Old Town Baron and
right now the authorities right at
halfway Bry down south street at the
bottom on the Krishna River and they're
already there um repairing their ships
on the
fies which I'm sure you've seen over
there yeah did you ever hear of that uh
that in your grape vine uh your sources
that the Steamship Authority has the
rights to those to those properties no I
didn't know that Steamship Authority
what would they do with it I don't know
but they have the rights all the way up
the bike path right to Buzzard Bay train
bridge yeah that's interesting there's
an awful lot of development that's going
on um um boy I tell you I wish that the
we can get rid of these damn windmills
and and do further development but um
that thank God we have Donald Trump in
there so maybe maybe he'll do something
about that yeah well I think he will he
says he will anyway we'll see thank you
my friend I appreciate it thanks uh for
the for the topic 508 9960 500 you're up
next in wbsm thanks for hanging on hi
good afternoon Barry hi happy New Year
to you happy New Year yeah so I just
wanted to touch upon a few things
because you know was interesting I was
listening to Chris's show and and um you
know it got me to thinking how all these
cities talking about Brockton and New
Bedford have so many problems but like
you said they're all run by democrats
yeah you know and and it's high time
that people I hope that your listeners
and everybody make their New Year's
resolution to start paying attention to
what is going on locally and start
paying attention to what your elected
officials are doing are not doing for
you because there's so much that they
are are not doing for the taxpayers that
it's absurd and we have got to start
really putting our foot down in making
these people do their jobs and I'll give
you a perfect example with our
legislature and people can read about
this if they go online to um uh
massresistance dorg Mass fiscal is a
great group mass resistance.org is
another great group that expose all that
is going on in Massachusetts along with
the newspaper the Boston broadside which
exposes a lot of things that people
really are totally unaware of but um you
know basically on Massachusetts uh
legislature is scamming our citizens
because what they're doing is they are
voting like one person they're talking
about this they're informal sessions
where they have one House of
Representative voting to pass a 700 $30
million bill one person one person yeah
now the Massachusetts state
constitution demands that there is a
quorum when they're passing bills but
yet they don't care the representatives
don't care they don't even show up so
they call it an informal session and you
know they're not showing up they're not
doing their job but yet they're still
getting paid no I agree with you 100% I
st it earlier that you know if I was a
member of the legislature I would be
there even though um just because it was
my job I mean I would at least feel an
obligation to be there even though all
the actions happening in Clos behind
closed
doors yeah but they don't care they
don't care you know this this one woman
Kathy lint she's a state committee woman
she had the mass GOP um State committee
members take a vote and a lot of these
people voted no that they did not want
want to demand that there was a quorum
and some of the people who voted no are
our own some of our own local um State
committee people who claim to be
conservatives who claim to be
Republicans but they're not they're all
part of the Rhino uh package you know so
that's the other thing that anybody
who's an independent or a republican you
really have to start breathing down the
the necks of these people who you know
uh to walk the walk instead of just
talking the talk they better start
walking the walk otherwise they're going
to have to go we have to call them out
we have to pay attention and we have to
get things changed because this state is
really um you know we're going to be in
deep doodo in 2025 if we don't get going
the other thing is this NB um NBTA
housing extortion yeah you know a lot of
these communities we a lot of the
communities are not part of the MBTA
communities but yet uh Mara hey and the
Attorney General they've changed like
the Attorney General changed the rules
to be like any Bus Station instead of an
MBTA bus station you know so if you have
a bus station you have bus service in
your town oh you're a you're a a joining
NBTA town no you're not so you know
again you got to talk to your your
planning uh people on your planning
board you select people and make sure
they stop pushing back but it takes we
the people to do this so you know new I
think a good New Year's resolution for
everyone is to start like Donald Trump
said fight fight fight well you know if
you're remember back during the Obama
Administration Obama had um passed these
through executive order uh to force
communities um to build um you know
rural communities to build uh low-income
housing and and apartments that they
they didn't want to do and and Obama uh
tried to force that Trump um overturn
that immediately upon taking office and
uh and then the Biden people put it back
and now you've got um you've got Mora
Healey and her attorney general that are
trying to force in fact they're suing
local communities to force them to build
housing out in places like Berkeley and
and Milton and other places against the
will I'm not sure that that's going to
withstand Supreme Court muster uh
because I don't know it hasn't it hasn't
in some towns but it's called the NBTA
Community well it's it's going before
the state Supreme Judicial Court it
hasn't been heard yet um but it will be
heard in 2025 but we may have uh we may
have um the the new Trump Administration
step in before the ever even heard I
don't see where uh it is constitutional
to tell a community you've got to build
uh this kind of Housing and you got to
put it here I think that that's an
overstep uh by state government it's an
overstep by federal government uh to
tell local communities what they want to
do or to threaten to withhold state aid
or federal aid from them if they refuse
to do that so we'll see uh what happens
and I'm looking forward to seeing a
resolution to this
case yes but we all you know we all have
to stop putting our noes to the ground
RH Stone and uh forget about texting
tweeting and all this other stuff and
start paying attention start reading
things and people attending meetings
that's the other thing attend your local
meetings go to your town meetings go to
like your um you know when they're
planning the budget get you know get
involved in that and see where your
money is being spent because everybody
complains about everything but they
don't really do anything so you know we
need to start changing the state because
no one can CH no one can save it but us
I mean the politicians certainly aren't
going to going to change it I mean some
of the new we've elected a few new
conservatives and and I know some people
are true blue conservatives there are a
few others that really aren't so
hopefully some change will take place
but they need people to stand behind
them and uh help them you know they need
our help so and we need more people to
run for office too younger people with
uh yeah with with high energy that want
to go in and fight the fight Kathy
appreciate it my friend thank you and
you have a happy New Year I've got to
take a break 508 9960 500 we're coming
right back after this day with us right
here in

you still be able to get your daily fix
of hoe and um and then a little bit of
uh reminiscing with Howry for an hour
each afternoon right here on wbsm all
right 50899 60500 let's get to you calls
and you're next in wbsm thanks for
hanging
on Hey Barry hi New Year to you and your
family happy New
Year uh the reason why I'm calling is
that you was talking about Puerto Rico
and um what why don't they just make
Puerto Rico a state you know I don't
understand that why don't they make them
a state yeah not make a mistake well
there's been quite a bit of debate about
that for a long time and um it's not
clear at this point there's been various
polling over the course of the years
about whether not the folks in Puerto
Rico even want to become a state um so I
mean there there's a lot that needs to
be worked out uh before that could
happen um and as a friend from Puerto
Rico pointed out a little while ago
there's so much corruption in Puerto
Rico the government system there is uh
very much different from here uh on the
mainland so there would have to be a lot
of reforms and but I'm not sure there's
there's a consensus um here on the
mainland or even in Puerto Rico as to
whether or not that that's uh something
that everybody wants to
do but wouldn't that clean it up I mean
if they you know voted in people that
were you know the people they want that
they trusted yeah but you can't force
the people of Puerto Rico to become a
state if they don't want
it um I'm not too sure about no not
might as well be a state I mean they
come and go as they please and you know
everything is the same St well there's
some in Puerto Rico that still like the
idea of self-determination and and um so
I I'm not sure I mean I think there
certainly should be a discussion on it
and there has been both in Puerto Rico
and here in in the United States and um
so I'm not I'm not sure that that uh
that is even close to any kind of a
resolution at this point or that that
were even close to any kind of a um um
you know unanimous decision on this I
think there's still a lot that would
have to be worked out before that I was
to go forward I believe the people of
the United States would have to vote on
that too it would have to be U because
that would change the Constitution if
I'm not mistaken and you would need to
have a vote of the people to do
that yeah I was one that's why one of
the questions I was going to ask you
next but I guess you just answered it
well what do you think about what's
going on I mean the situation is one
where we are I mean they are a property
of the United States we're providing
them with millions of dollars and yet we
are not you know forcing them to do what
they need to do to take care of their
people right that's why I you know I you
know I was just kind of thinking about
it and I said Gee you know I hear you
know corruption this and Corruption that
but their government and I said well if
the people you know were in charge where
they could vote in you know their people
the people that they
trusted and you know they had some sort
of representation and then you know
maybe that would be the answer to
solving the corruption well keep in mind
that would mean changing the political
structure that would change um that
would change two instead of having 100
Senators we now have what 102 senators
and we have more members of Congress
so there's a lot of things to consider I
mean um you know just saying oh let's
add this place as a as a as a state and
you know there's a lot of things to
consider a lot of things for the people
to consider and and and not just the
people here but the people on the island
as well so I don't know um certainly I'm
always open to the discussion I'm I'm
not again I you know I I I'm not for
forcing people to become uh a state if
they don't want to be a state and um so
I'd have to hear more about what folks
in Puerto Rico think about this you know
you would think it would be the right
thing you you know United States
promotes democracy I mean we fought well
you would think that right you would
think that the you know George Bush told
us that if we go and invade Iraq and
throw uh Saddam Hussein in the in the
hcal that the people there would pour
out into the streets and welcome an
American democracy and that wasn't the
case was it and we found that we we do
that all over the world we go into
countries and we Nation build and tell
them how to run their place and um you
know even though Puerto is a province
it's still you know an island off the
coast of the United States I'm not sure
they want to be told what to
do yeah that's that's it would be nice
if you if there was a way that you could
put that to a vote with with the with
you know the state I mean uh the
province of Puerto Rico to find out
exactly you know instead of just here
say well some people want it some people
don't but if they put it to a vote it
would give it a better barometer of what
they really
want yeah no I I agree with you 100% I
mean I would like to have more clear uh
reporting on the issue and and and
finding out you know exactly what the
folks in Puerto Rico think and also what
the people um on the mainland think yeah
that would be yeah that would be
something to explore yeah that makes
sense yeah but yeah I mean because it
would have certainly would have a a
great impact on all of us so I think
that I think we need to have a national
discussion but I'm not sure we're close
to that point at this at this time I'm
not sure that uh somebody just texted me
why don't we trade Puerto Rico for
Greenland um
so and so I I don't know I mean you know
again we you've got to to some extent
you got to hold the people in Puerto
Rico uh maybe to a large extent if they
keep voting for people in Puerto Rico
that are going to take and misuse the
billions of dollars that we're sending
an aid you know something's not right
there I know if I was uh you know from
Puerto Rico I would vote you know to
become a state and you know get people
in there that's going to represent them
in a better way than what's going on I
mean anything is better than what they
have yeah me well some people might
disagree with that I don't know and
again I haven't gotten inside the heads
of the people in Puerto Rico so um I
don't know enough about how they feel at
this point but I'd like to find out more
uh good uh discussion my friend I
appreciate it Happy New Year to you and
your family 508 996 0500 you're next to
wbsm good afternoon hi Barry hi I just
wanted to say I didn't I didn't get a
chance to talk to you yesterday and um
say hey welcome back from your vacation
oh yeah and now you get to go have fun
tomorrow Yeah tomorrow's a day off and
then we're back on Thursday and then
it's right back to the grindstone now no
vacations for a long time no no hey at
the top of the hour you sounded you know
your voice you still sound very sick you
know but now I the last hour I'm like
geez your voice is starting to sound a
little better well that's good and maybe
you're just getting used to hearing it I
don't know I I still I have a cold it's
not I'm not dying but you know how cold
you are right it's tough to breathe
sometime with a cold and is oh yeah it's
definitely difficult to hear because my
head is blocked up and I wear hearing
aids anyway so it's it's makes it a
little bit more difficult to hear but
other than that I'm going to be all
right well I look forward to talking to
you on on Thursday I want to go over
something with you I've been waiting for
you and um so yeah I but I definitely
wanted to wish you a happy New Year well
I appreciate 25 woohoo yeah can you

1975
yesterday I know time is flying but you
know what I've been waiting until this

think this is going to be a really
really I just got a great feeling about
this year I think so for myself for
everybody I certainly hope so yeah all
right well we'll keep the positive
energy going and I'll talk to you on
first thing thank you my friend
appreciate it 508 9960 500 is a number
yeah I mean 2025 I mean it just seems so
wow so weird
um seems like so
futuristic wasn't it anybody any fans of
the old TV show Lost in Space I'm not
talking about the newer one but the old
one back in the the 60s weren't they
supposed to
um I don't know weren't they supposed to
be in like 1999 wasn't that supposed to
be uh where they were
seems so futuristic even 2001 A Space
Odyssey remember that with hell the
computer so futuristic and here we are
in
2025 sometimes I think 2025 in In the
Year 2525 remember that song by zegger
and
Evans it's kind of weird but that'll be
here before you know it's only 500 years
away right 50899 60500 let me grab a
break we're going to come right back
after this St thanks to a veteran and
service
member we can help we can give our
veterans a special event where they too
can create their own Cherished Memories

life I want you to imagine for a moment
you're in a hospital you are the patient
connected to an IV bag there's a
constant parade of serious doctors
countless tests endless pokes and a

welcome back of the program I was just
mentioning that song so if you could why
not play it for those of you who have
never heard it before it is 246 that's
been a long time that was out in the
late 60s uh zor and Evans and you look
at the video I've got the video on in
front of me here and I love the way
they're dressed and um one of them I
don't know there was Z or or Evans uh in
the um uh in the duo here but one of the
gentlemen is wearing a neckerchief do
you remember back in the old days
you can see this if you watch the old
Scooby-Doo uh run reruns has a necer
chief around it I think they would call
it a necer chief right around I may be
way off but I think that's what they
called it and it was like a a a a silk a
kind of like um
[Music]
um what am I thinking of handkerchief
right that that you might stuff in your
pocket but it's long and it goes around
your neck and it was a
ring that you slid the two ends through
the ring and and pushed it up toward
your neck and then you had those two
things hanging down you know what I'm
talking about right remember those I had
forgotten all about him until I just saw
that video a couple of seconds ago and
was saying wow my God we actually wore
those things back in the day uh that was
pretty
bizarre I mean you know we got some
pretty bizarre clothing styles these
days too but I mean those those are
pretty bizarre out with bell bottoms and
stuff like that back in the day
um yeah
so it's New Year's Eve how about
that 34 um perc No 3 and 4% to that
three no I'm sorry three4 of a percent
three qus of Americans no percent
involved let me try that again three
quarters of Americans so that's 75%
there we go 75% of American voters want
Pro Second Amendment judges nominated at
the federal level
wow 75% of American voters want Pro
Second Amendment judges nominated at the
federal level so a poll conducted by
mcland and
Associates H released by the Second
Amendment
Foundation three quarters of American
voters believe it is important to see a
pro Second Amendment judge nominated and
confirmed at the federal
level the poll asked quote how important
is it to you to get judges confirmed and
nominated to the federal courts who make
it a priority to try their best to
strictly follow the Second Amendment of
the US
Constitution 76% of respondents said it
is
important another question asked how
important is it to you that our
political leaders in Washington DC
protect and defend the Second Amendment
rights in the US Constitution of law
abiding gun owners 77% of respondents
said this is important as
well when asked do you think that
President Donald Trump will make it a
priority to protect and defend the
Second Amendment rights of law abiding
gun owners 63% of respondents said
yes
yeah Jim mlin commented on the polls
results saying the overwhelming
majorities of Voters want their
political leaders in Washington to
defend second amendment
rights furthermore three out of four
voters say it is important to nominate
and confirm judges to the federal courts
who will make it a priority to strictly
follow the Second
Amendment and nearly two and three
voters think that President Donald Trump
will make it a priority to protect and
defend the Second Amendment rights of
law abiding gun
owners a fourth pole question asked who
do you think will do a better job of
protecting the Second Amendment rights
of gun owners in America the republicans
in Congress or the Democrats in Congress
59% of respondents said Republicans
versus only 24% who said
Democrats Second Amendment Foundation
founder Alan gotle also commented saying
this survey underscores the prevailing
public perception the Democrats have
become the party of gun
prohibition the numbers also Justified
saf's commitment to defend Second
Amendment and our various Court
challenges winning Firearms Freedom one
lawsuit at a
time it's a lot of Americans we you're
talkinging about 75% of
Americans that includes Republicans
Democrats and independents right so
there's an awful lot of people out there
who um
a part of that signate majority you
generally hear from the
vocal
minority on issues whether those issues
be gun
ownership and second amendment rights uh
even things such as transgender
rights
um you know so many other issues it's
generally
the vocal minority that's out there
banging drums and screaming and yelling
and hey hey ho ho and it makes it almost
seem as though that's the mood or the
attitude of the country when in reality
it is not always but those are the
people that make the noise and that get
the media
coverage you know I mean another example
of that is look at the um look at the
the story we had been told months ago
about how um uh the abortion issue was
going to kill Trump because every woman
voter out there was Voting from the womb
right Trump could never get the women
vote because it was all about the
abortion thing for women and Women
Voters and that proved not to even be a
slight factor in the election not at
all but yet
the vocal minority LED you to believe it
and and the media picked up on it and
played
it played it big
you know sometimes it's it's better to
listen to what's not being said and
who's not saying it than to listen to
what's being said and who's saying
it because often times the people who
are vocal are in the minority and are
not
expressing the interests and the and the
opinions of the majority of the people
in this case the overwhelming majority
of the people 75% of American voters
want Pro Second Amendment judges at the
federal level yeah if you'd listen to
the politicians and the media that you
wouldn't believe that to be true would
you but you know just as was the case in
2016 and the case in this recent
election people knew what they
wanted people had decided on on on what
they wanted and they didn't feel a need
to go out and yell and scream and bang
pots and pans and yell ho hey hey ho ho
they just went about their business and
then delivered their
votes and when you talk about this poll
I mean this is certainly the same kind
of thing
right always interesting
stuff when you do hear from the people
and you do ask the I'm not going to
pretend for a moment that this poll was
uh maybe
conducted on behalf I mean again we had
the uh the poll was conducted by mlin
and Associates and released by the
Second Amendment Foundation well yeah a
little bit of a special interest there
right so I guess we take polls with a
grain of salt
um but we have seen other polling you
know like for example immediately after
a school shooting or a mall shooting
they'll conduct a snap poll and you hear
people oh yeah get rid of guns we got to
get rid of guns and but the reality is
within a couple of weeks of that the the
numbers of people seem to um go back to
supporting the Second Amendment you got
to question the validity of a lot of
these
polls just ask Trump about the poll in
IO all right my goodness all right I'm
going to wrap it up right here we're
going to take a break we're going to
come back and wrap the show so stick
around you're listening to WB
