Hello everyone, welcome to another video about the best of 2024.
Today, I'm going to share with you what I consider the 20 best makeup releases of 2024.
Recently, I posted my video about the best purchases of 2024 in pharmacies.
So, as the video was just about purchases, that didn't necessarily mean that these products were released this year.
Most of them were, but there were also some that I just didn't try until this year.
So, I'm going to leave the video link in the description box and I'll also put a little card here
in case you missed the video that was totally dedicated to pharmacy products.
There are some repetitions of that video in this video, but truth be told,
most of the products I'm going to talk about in this video are medium to high standard.
All right, let's get started.
I'm sure I'm not the only one to think that, but 2024 was the year of blush.
There were so many blush releases this year.
It was kind of impressive.
Actually, I have 6, yes, 6 blushes in this video.
Not 6 blush tones, but 6 blush formulas from 6 different brands that were selected for this video.
I took into account the range of tones.
I took into account the ease of mixing, the pigmentation, the duration and,
in my humble opinion, you really can't go wrong with any of them.
So, I'm going to start with the powder formulas.
The first is the Poses.
I love these blushes.
They have their own compartment in my brush and each tone is perfect.
I have so many favorites in this formula.
I can't even start choosing a favorite.
Now, most of them are matte.
I think it's this tone, Su-1, which is the one that has a little, yes, a little shine.
So, if you don't like shine on your blush, then I wouldn't choose Su-1.
But the rest of them, I'm almost sure, yes, are matte or with a satin finish.
Look at this color, look at this color.
It's called Adrenaline.
It's so pigmented.
I just passed my finger and it was amazing.
Amazing pigmentation.
This is an amazing formula.
Fenty Beauty also launched another fantastic powder blush formula, highly pigmented and long-lasting.
This is the Fenty Cheeky Swag.
I only have one tone of this so far.
This is the Lollipop and I used it several times in the summer.
It looks beautiful with a tan.
If you have fair skin, you will want to use this blush with delicacy.
Okay, let's go to the liquid blushes.
These are from Giorgio Armani.
I bought all of them with my own money.
They were not sent to me.
I started with the tone 52 and then I saw Sabrina Carpenter's makeup artist show the two tones she uses to get the beautiful, beautiful pink blush from Sabrina Carpenter.
And even if I have several other blushes that could probably give me the same result as these two together.
But I admit that I have a problem and I am easily influenced.
So, I bought two more tones during the Sephora discount event.
No, actually it was these two 52 and 53 that Sabrina's makeup artist used to do the look.
But I also wanted to choose a peach color.
So, I bought this tone, which is 50.5.
5, is that right?
50.5
Why 5?
These are great because they start, I don't mean transparent, but very transparent.
But they can be built basically the opposite way of the liquid blushes from Rare Beauty.
That start very strong and you have to be very careful with the amount you use, if you can't exaggerate.
These are much easier to use.
They are suitable for oily skins, as well as the liquid blushes from YSL.
So far, I only have a tone like this, which is 37.
And this, in my opinion, has a slightly blurred effect.
So, if you have dilated pores like me, you can see how I'm blurring, maybe to see if my camera can focus.
1, it really spreads and looks very retouched on the skin.
If I remember correctly, I have this in a video entitled something like luxury makeup that is worth the money, worth the investment, and I still defend it.
I think this is a great product, especially for those who have textured and dilated pores.
So good!
And I have to admit, I was kind of surprised by how much I liked these blush filters from Huda Beauty.
I bought two shades so far.
Melancia and Café com Leite.
Café com Leite is the perfect tone if you want that natural tan look on your skin.
And this product also blurs the skin.
And again, this tone in particular is kind of like that tan tone, but with a touch of mauve, but it's not purple, so you won't look hurt.
I feel like I'm doing a terrible job explaining this, but I'm doing my best.
I'm trying not to make this video last an hour and a half.
I also really like their size.
I like the packaging and this watermelon tone.
I could put ... Wow, I have so much on my fingers now.
I could put a little of that.
I think it would still match the look.
I love this watermelon tone because I love a blush half reddish peach.
And it blurs very easily, even if you've already applied powder, which I did.
So, so beautiful.
I'm loving these blush filters a lot.
Now, if none of these liquid blushes are in your budget, I strongly recommend that you try these Morphe Hot Shot blushes.
I have the Fireball tone.
It is very similar to what Huda Beauty's Angel Watermelon Blush Filter leaves on the skin.
It's a little more pink, but it's the same thing.
A little drop. It's very liquid. It pays off.
They look natural and last a long time.
They are great, especially for the price.
When it comes to eyeshadow palettes, I have four that I use the most.
I talked about one of them in that video about the best purchases at pharmacies
and I also posted a video dedicated to them because that's how I really love them.
The formula really impressed me.
The pigmentation, the ease of mixing, the ease of use,
are basically the criteria I have for blush or any makeup that I recommend to you.
I feel that all these products are of very high quality, no matter the price,
and I really feel that you will not be disappointed.
So, back to eyeshadow palettes, the Morphe Artistry Palette Gold Seeker.
I used this one in the video about the favorite purchases at pharmacies, if you want to see.
I will also leave the link to the video dedicated to these palettes.
They come in three different colors and are very good, so they are worth the investment.
But if you only buy luxury products, it's okay.
Don't judge here. The Natasha Denona Golden palette is my favorite.
I think I bought them all.
No, I didn't buy the purple one, but I bought all the other palettes she launched this year,
except for that purple one whose name I can't remember.
I recently bought the Emidia Warm Palette, and although I liked it, I liked this one more.
Now, of course, if you don't like warm tones, you don't like the way they look on you,
then this will be an easy choice.
But I have another favorite, which are the cool tones, which I will address soon.
But this palette, I end up using a lot.
If it's not for her, if I feel like doing a complete and sophisticated makeup for the day, and sometimes I use it.
I'm the kind of person who loves makeup and sometimes I decide,
ah, I want to do a complete look with just one brand,
or, today I want to do a complete look with all my favorite luxury makeups.
Even if I'm not making a video, it's something I think about when I sit on the brush and start to put on makeup,
because the whole process is therapeutic for me, it's a creative escape valve.
So, these are the thoughts that go through my head.
And when I want to use one of my best high-quality makeups,
I usually get a shadow palette at the 9th rate.
And this is the one I'm using today.
Honestly, I'm crazy about her.
So, if you're looking for cool tones, this is the latest release of the last few months or last month.
This is the Huda Beauty Ice Nude.
So good! The history of colors is dazzling.
It has mattes, it has sparkles, it has shiny finishes.
The packaging is beautiful.
You have this big mirror here that already has my fingerprints all over the place.
When I saw this palette for the first time on social media, I said to myself that I wouldn't buy it.
But of course I bought it anyway and I don't regret it.
If I'm in the mood to use cool tones, this is it.
As an observation, my Color Pop of Quartz eyeshadow palette, which is not new,
but it's one of my favorite cool-toned eyeshadow palettes.
And if you're looking for the perfect neutral eyeshadow palette
and accessible with the perfect combination of mattes and sparkles,
please, please, please buy a Morphe Nude Ambition.
And yes, I have some Morphe products in this video,
but I'm not sponsored by Morphe, nor am I on their public relations list.
I really like their products.
And why is my voice changing?
Okay, I just drank a little water. I hope that helps.
So, back to the palette.
Nude Ambition.
I've used this or I've used it in some of my recent videos.
If you watched my end-of-year health update chat,
This is the palette I used in that video.
It's an essential item.
It doesn't matter if you're a beginner in makeup
or if you've been wearing makeup daily for the last 30, 40 years,
for me this is an indispensable and infallible palette for such an affordable price.
I have palettes similar to this one from other brands that cost 2 or 3 times more.
No, you don't have the beautiful luxurious packaging with a mirror,
but it's very, very practical and very, very good.
Now, when it comes to foundations and concealer,
I feel that there weren't many releases this year.
I may be wrong.
Or this or they simply weren't releases for my skin type
or they're just the ones I don't use often.
I know that in my favorite semesters I talked about the About Face foundation,
which I still think is very, very good.
Unfortunately, I tried to find a darker shade for when I self-tanned
and tried all the Uta shades that I thought could work, but none worked.
So, for me, there's something wrong with the range of shades.
I managed to find a good shade for how I am now,
but I wanted one for when I'm using one of my dark self-tanners
and not tan my face and want it to match my body.
So, that's why I don't have any new foundation in this video.
And as for concealer, there were some very good concealer releases this year,
like Nessa Mirix and Westmini.
I didn't include them because I still get caught using my concealer at the D9 rate,
my KFI or Armani concealer.
Recently, they sent me the Tower 28 concealer that I thought was released this year,
but when I searched, it was actually released in 2023.
So, if it had been released this year, I would have included it in this video
because I'm loving the Tower 28 concealer.
Okay, enough talking about what's not in this video,
let's talk about the facial products that are in this video.
This product is one that I consider makeup and skin care
because it is a moisturizing preparation, and this one is from Merit.
It is a great moisturizing preparation for the skin.
If you want to do your makeup quickly and don't want to have to use a moisturizer,
then apply sunscreen, primer and then apply your foundation.
This is putting these two steps together in one for you.
You will get great hydration, regardless of your skin type,
and it's not too much for oily skin like me.
It doesn't leave my face with too much shine throughout the day.
It goes well with all the foundations I've used and helps with makeup durability.
At least that's what I noticed.
I think this product was released in August and I've been using it regularly since then.
Unless I'm using a foundation like Armani Luminous Silk, which is not suitable for oily skin.
In this case, I use this foundation and then apply a primer that absorbs the oiliness.
Sometimes I use it alone as a moisturizing primer, but sometimes I add one more step.
As for the powder, I couldn't talk about my favorite makeup releases of the year
without mentioning this Too Faced Soft Born This Way Powder Blush.
This is how my old one is, I still use it.
But during the Sephora discount event, I bought another one,
because why not buy when I can get a 20% discount, right?
So, I bought it.
And now I'm confused because this one and this one look different.
So, I hesitated to put it in this video because now I don't know what to think about this powder.
I loved this one.
This one is drier.
It doesn't have the same kind of softness.
Where's my sponge?
I didn't bring a sponge.
I have to get one.
I found this huge one.
It stands out.
I just launched these sponges.
There are smaller ones, but this is the closest I've found.
So, I think we're going to use this big one.
I loved it.
I loved it and I've been talking a lot about it for months.
However, this one, although it's not bad, doesn't seem to shine.
It looks a little drier.
So, I don't even know what to do about it because I don't want you to take this powder and think about what Risa was talking about.
It's not as good as she said.
But I also don't want you to miss the opportunity if most of them are like that.
In the end, what I'm going to say is that if you don't want to run the risk of not getting the perfect one that I bought originally,
I would say that the second best highlighter, softener and concealer for the area of the eyes that was launched this year is the Tower 28.
And I strongly recommend that you watch this video that I posted a few months ago comparing the new Powder Cosis, the Tower 28 and the Too Faced.
Okay, let's move on.
Actually, I have a mascara to talk to you.
And I talked about it in a very recent video.
It may be the video I posted a few days before, where I talked about products that I thought I wouldn't like, but I ended up loving.
But, even having talked about it, I have to include it in this video.
It's Charlotte Tilbury's Exaggerated Volume Mascara.
In the past, I was never impressed with Charlotte Tilbury's mascara.
I thought they were ok, but not better than anything else I found at the pharmacy.
Not better than any other eyelashes mask at the same price I've experienced in the past.
I kept seeing people praising this mask a lot and, as always, I gave in to advertising.
And the advertising is real.
This mask is fantastic.
I loved the applicator.
This mask really does everything I want a mask to do.
I want it to hold the curvature.
I want it to give me length and volume without forming lumps.
I want it to look like I have false eyelashes on my thin and blonde eyelashes and it really is true.
I, personally, didn't have any irritation in my eyes with it.
No peeling or blurs.
My other favorite high quality eyelashes mask of this year is the Peptide Mascara by Iris & Romeo.
But I have to admit that I like this Charlotte Tilbury's Exaggerated even more.
Ok, let's talk about lip liners.
It's LF Creamy Lip Liner, Maybelline Lifting Liner and the S101 Lip Liner.
The best of the year.
Normally, I like high quality lip liners.
I like Charlotte Tilbury's lip liners.
I like Makeup By Mario & Chanel's lip liners.
But this was the year in which two incredibly affordable lip liners formulas were launched.
And, again, it's the LF Creamy Lip Liner that costs only 2 dollars and the Maybelline Lifting Liner.
Today I'm using the Lifting Liner in the color it contains.
And I used a liquid lipstick by NYX, whose name I will put in the description box.
And I finished with one of my favorite lip gloss releases of the year, the Huda Beautiful Filler Glossies.
All the five shades I bought.
And if it launches more shades, I'll probably buy these two.
I think there should already be two or three shades that I don't have just because I think they won't look good on me.
But with the Maybelline Lifting Liner and NYX Liquid Lipstick, I put this Honey Tone on top, which is beautiful.
If you like a peach nude, these are very bright.
I can't say that they increase the volume of the lips.
Actually, I'm not going to say that they increase the volume of the lips.
Whenever you put a gloss on your lips, they will look fuller just because of the reflection of the light.
Honestly, the only products to increase the volume of the lips that I've tried and that really seemed to increase the volume of my lips are the Too Faced Lip Injection, which hurts, I think.
I think they burn, and the glosses to increase the volume of the City Lips lips.
These are the only two that I really think increase the volume of the lips.
Even if just a little.
Anyway, even if they say they increase the volume, I think they are, most of the time, very good lip glosses.
And this is my verdict on the glosses to increase the volume of the Huda Beauty lips.
Don't buy them hoping that your lips look like you just did a filling.
Maybe someone will disagree with me.
I'm sure many will disagree with me, but I buy because I love the shades and the gloss.
I love the durability and the fact that it doesn't come out of the lip line like other glosses.
I want to go back to the lip liners quickly just to say why I think they are so good.
I think the price of the three, especially the ELF, which costs only two dollars, is very, very good.
I think the three formulas are very creamy.
I think the shades are very, very good.
I, in particular, prefer the pencil that you point to.
I'm not a big fan of rotating lip liners.
I like some that I keep on my list and that are rotating.
But if I were to launch my own lip liners, they would definitely be traditional pencils that you point to.
So, I only have one of these ELF so far.
I don't have any bright lip oil, but I have three more coming, which I ordered on the ELF website because the stores near me were sold out.
I just put my hands on the Princess Cutie and I was so impressed that I bought several others, because they are very cheap.
And this color, Princess Cutie, is really dazzling.
I have a lot of high-quality glosses that look and give the feeling of being like that.
But I read some reviews saying they thought the shine was kind of grainy, which made my lips feel.
Maybe it's because I don't usually use gloss alone.
I usually use it on top of a lip liner and maybe a lipstick or a liquid lipstick.
Maybe that's why I don't feel any of that grainy look that some people talk about.
I mean, I can let you know when I get the other three shades I ordered, because maybe it depends on the shade you're using.
But I don't feel any kind of grainy texture when I use this on my lips.
And I call it one of the best releases of the year because, once again, it rivals many high-quality glosses at $20, $5, $30 and $35.
So, why not spend only $8 instead of $30 if you're getting comparable quality and results?
And so my final product in these best makeup releases of 2024 are the Gloss Fenty sticks.
If you remember a few moments ago, when I was talking about the false huda beauty filter glosses,
I mentioned that they don't come out of the line of my lips and I always use lip liner.
And, honestly, I don't have many thin lines around my mouth.
However, these Gloss Fenty, the originals, always end up coming out of the line of my lips or running down my chin,
which is a shame because I think the colors are so beautiful.
So, when they released the stick version, I ordered two and then two more because, like the original glosses, the range of shades is fabulous.
There are many beautiful shades, but I can have that shiny look without worrying about the shine running down my chin and I can use it alone.
They have enough pigment to be used alone.
I don't need to apply anything underneath.
I just use a lip liner and then apply the stick and that's it.
And I think they last a little longer than a traditional lip gloss.
Lip gloss glasses, in case you haven't noticed yet, they're not the most durable products you can use on your lips.
But I personally don't mind reapplying my lip product, especially a gloss,
because it's usually something that can be done very, very quickly, without even needing a mirror.
And these gloss sticks are especially easy to use without a mirror.
But as I was saying, in my experience, they last longer than a traditional gloss on my lips.
All right, guys, another video of the best of the year has come to an end.
If you liked this video, please give it a thumbs up, I really appreciate it.
