The two first met back in January 2006, when Scarlett was brought in to host an episode of SNL season 31. The two kept in touch after that, and more than a decade later, the two sparked dating rumors when she appeared on the SNL season 42 finale in May 2017. While the couple kept their romance quiet, they clued in fans when they reached an important milestone in their relationship. In May 2019, the two revealed they were engaged, with Scarlett confirming the news when she hosted SNL for the sixth time in December of that year.
