Hello everyone. Welcome back to my channel, where skin care is about progress instead of perfection.
Because perfection doesn't mean that everything always and everywhere goes viral.
Especially on TikTok. There is no day when you don't see a new viral product.
However, there are some that really stick because they are good.
They are decent. They are very, very good and people love them for good reasons.
Since I love Korean skin care and car beauty in general so much,
I always find that there is a better Korean alternative that usually makes it more affordable.
That's why I would like to introduce some of the most viral, best-rated and most sold skin care products of today
and tell you which, in my opinion, are the better alternatives to car beauty.
So let's start with the lip balm from Summer Friday.
Its main ingredient is shell butter.
Hmm. Isn't that in everything?
It's not bad. It gives intensive moisture and helps to repair skin barriers.
We have Muru Muru seed butter, which is rich in fatty acids and also gives moisture.
Sodium hyaluronate, essentially hyaluronic acid.
And then there is also mizika in it to add a subtle shimmer, which I found surprising because it doesn't look shimmery.
It looks like a normal lip balm.
So I think that mizika is somehow unnecessary.
But people also love the lip balm from Summer Friday because it is available in different shades.
It is nice and thick. You can build it up if you want it lighter or thicker.
Excuse me.
M, it is shiny like a lip gloss.
But with all these moisturizing benefits, right?
But here is one that, in my opinion, is the better option for you
if you are looking for something that has good lip balm ingredients
but also goes a step further, but also offers the choice of colors.
This is Code Glow Colors Lip Lip Serum.
Here is one of them. I have more, but these contain glycerin, which is a really strong moisturizing agent.
In my opinion, glycerin is much better than sodium hyaluronate to really moisturize your lips.
We also have Shea Butter, which is rich in these fatty acids,
which hold everything together and moisturize your lips nicely.
We have squalene, which provides really light moisture care
without leaving a greasy, heavy feeling.
We also have glutathione, an antioxidant that helps the skin of your lips in general.
Then we have apple mint extract, which has a calming effect
and provides a refreshing feeling and a slight tingling without itching the lips.
In fact, it calms irritated skin.
Then we have cedrol. Cedrol is a natural compound
that offers calming and anti-inflammatory properties.
It is vegan and available in six different colors with a grapefruit finish,
which Carbeauty simply does best.
Let's compare it.
When it comes to moisture care, both products use Shea Butter for deep care.
Code Glow Color goes one step further with glycerin and squalene,
when it comes to moisture care.
Both are very effective.
And of course Summer Fridays contains sodium hyaluronate.
Since I focus on moisture storage and cushioning effects,
I simply prefer glycerin over sodium hyaluronate.
As far as the antioxidant and calming properties are concerned,
Code Glow Color Glutathione contains a strong antioxidant and apple mint extract,
which offers a calming effect.
Summer Fridays does not produce any specific antioxidants or calming extracts in its formulation.
In puncto texture and finish, Code Glow Color aims for a grapefruit finish
with a natural shade that is suitable for daily use.
Summer Fridays, on the other hand, offers a shiny finish
with a subtle shimmer thanks to the contained mycica.
That's the real clue for me now.
No, not the clue, but the deciding factor for me.
Price compared to quantity.
Code Glow Color costs about 8 pounds for 15 ml product
and Summer Fridays 23 pounds for 15 grams.
In summary, Code Glow Color Lip Serum,
in view of the price and the more comprehensive content profile,
offers a much more exciting and advantageous mixture
of moisturizing, antioxidant and calming agents
The inclusion of glycerin, squalene and glutathione is the A and O for me
and it is a much better option for everyone
who are looking for an effective lip care with added value at a affordable price.
Controversial, but let's take an icon.
Porous Choice BHA 2% compared to KRX Blackhead Power Liquid.
You can really compare them. I'll try.
So, Polish Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Peeling.
Of course, it contains salicylic acid, a beta-hydroxy acid,
which helps to peel the skin, to free the pores and to reduce mites and acne.
We have green tea leaves here, which are an antioxidant.
They also help to soothe the skin.
Methylpropodyl and butylene glycol are basically solvents
to improve the penetration of active ingredients.
And that costs, I think, 32 pounds.
Yes, 32 pounds.
They are available in different sizes.
One of my favorite BHAs is KRX Blackhead Power Liquid.
Its main component is beta-salicylic acid with 4%.
This is an alternative to salicylic acid due to the Korean regulations for salicylic acid.
Beta-salicylic acid is a mixture of salicylic acid and betaine.
So you get a kind of mild version of salicylic acid.
But to make it short, I'm sorry.
Beta-salicylic acid is said to be only about half as effective as salicylic acid.
So if you use 4% beta-salicylic acid and 2% salicylic acid,
you balance them out to a certain extent.
But it's just a lot softer.
We also have alfalfa extract here,
a natural source of salicylic acids that are basically anti-inflammatory.
You should peel, but that's not really the case.
Ninomid helps to improve the skin tone and skin structure.
Sodium hyaluronate actually also helps to moisturize the skin.
And panthenol soothes the skin and gives it moisture.
Both products are great products for me
to use the respective version of salicylic acid or BHA.
However, Corex with beta-salicylic acid is a much softer version for slightly sensitized skin,
but from which all people can really benefit.
You should maybe just use it more regularly as a Polish choice.
Corex also has all these additional advantages with Ninomid.
It gives more moisture and has calming properties.
I have the feeling that you get more for your money with Corex.
That at a slightly lower price.
Both products are effective.
They are both effective.
What I want to say is that there is this idea
that we really have to use strong active ingredients so that they are effective.
And if the skin has just gotten used to a certain percentage of an active ingredient,
then you have to go to the next higher percentage.
I don't necessarily think that's true.
In my experience, I love these softer alternatives
that I can use more regularly over the week,
instead of itching my skin two to three times a week.
For me, the Corex BHA Power Liquid is a great alternative for everyone
who want to choose a softer, but still super effective approach.
Tata's Water Cream is not necessarily my favorite,
but it is extremely, extremely popular.
Tata is very popular on TikTok in general,
despite the really high price.
I will compare it with something that is always considered an effective replacement,
the Rectin Calming Lotus Cream.
I have the feeling we haven't talked about it on this channel for a long time,
for a really long time.
Let's take a look at Tata first.
Their main ingredients are always more natural,
but the same goes for Rovine.
One of the main ingredients of Tata is the Japanese wild rose,
which supposedly narrows the pores and smoothens the skin structure,
together with the Japanese leopard lily,
which helps to control excess oil
and to support natural cell regeneration,
which I have never heard of before.
The Hadassi Minus 3 Complex,
a mixture of green tea, rice and algae,
has anti-aging properties and ensures a healthy shine.
I think this is Tata's own little combination,
which they have put together there.
Sodium hyaline also helps to moisturize the skin, of course.
And then gold, there is only gold in it,
and it is used for a radiant shine.
It is very expensive.
The product costs 63 pounds and I'm honest with you,
it doesn't seem like many of their ingredients
really rely on science and effectiveness.
And that's not because they are natural.
I love it when nature can beat science
and create great things.
But in my opinion it sounds like you would pay a lot of money.
If we look at the Rottin Clean Lotus Water Cream,
I don't know when they added clean to the product name,
I don't know, but we also have lotus flower extract in here.
So they also focus on flowers as one of their main components.
75% of it is contained in it.
They claim that this cleanses the skin
and helps to maintain its oil and water balance.
Then we have ingredients such as niominamide,
which help to improve the appearance of the skin tone,
enlarge large pores and strengthen the skin barrier,
glycerin, which is a great moisture donor,
panthenol, to soothe the skin and provide with moisture.
Also soothes the skin.
And this costs 2,016 pounds.
If we compare them,
both really focus on a kind of pore refinement
and oil control.
Both have this light, watery, creamy gel cream texture,
which dissolves on the skin like water.
In my personal experience,
my skin dries out much faster with the Tata Water Cream.
It just seems to disappear from the skin too quickly,
especially from my dry spots.
The Rovin Lotus Cream, on the other hand,
I refuse to say that the Rove is a clean water cream,
stays a little longer.
You feel well supplied with moisture.
It is nice and light for my oily T-zone,
but moisturizing enough for my cheeks.
I just think that I am worth my money with it.
And to be honest,
the gold in the Tej product is, I think,
gold in skin care, to be honest.
And I have the feeling that the Revia Cream
really focuses more on moisture supply
and barrier support.
And although both creams have unique advantages
that are tailored to different skin care needs,
Tata seems to be more focused on those
who are looking for pore refinement,
oil control and anti-aging benefits
while Rovin offers a moisturizing
and soothing experience with skin-brightening properties
and some pore-refining properties,
even if they don't really prove it.
Although these are often played against each other,
they are somehow different.
But that tells me that people don't want
what the Parcher often claims of their product,
if that makes sense.
What they want is a nice, light, watery cream,
a deep, moisturizing, watery cream,
which Rovin, in my opinion,
Let me know what you think about it.
If you try both, let me know in the comments below
what you think of it.
Now we have to compare Carave and Aura.
Of course the moisture creams from Carave
and the Bararia 365 cream from Aura.
First take a look at Carave.
An icon, a modern icon for good reason,
isn't it?
Its main ingredients are of course ceramides.
These are essential lipids
that restore and preserve
the natural, healthy barrier function of the skin.
We all know what ceramides are, don't we?
They are one of the most important ingredients
that I pay attention to in my skin care nowadays.
It also contains hyaluronic acid,
M, glycerin,
so a nice mixture of moisture donors,
cholesterol,
which supports the barrier of the skin again
and improves the moisture storage
so that it doesn't dry out
and it costs $15.49
in the normal size.
My favorite cream,
the Acid Barria 365 cream from Stura,
also contains these ceramides.
Both Carave and Stura
advertise their ceramides
with these very special
methods of preparation.
Aura has these small, exploding capsules
that you can see on the skin
and they claim that this helps
the ceramides and cholesterol
and basically their ceramide complex
to penetrate better into the skin.
We also have niacinamide and squalane here.
So the moisture creams feel less greasy.
Glycerin also serves as a moisture donor.
Allantoin also soothes the skin,
which, in my opinion,
is very important for a ceramide cream
because you often use a ceramide cream
because you have ruined your skin.
Therefore, it is nice to have something
soothing besides all the ceramides
and the healthy ingredients.
While the Carave moisture creams
naturally concentrate on the reproduction
of the skin barrier with ceramides
and hyaluronic acid,
they also donate a pleasant moisture
to people with dry to very dry skin.
The Aura cream, on the other hand,
combines ceramides with nionamide squalene
and thus offers moisture,
strengthens the skin barriers
and soothes the skin.
Therefore, it is also suitable
for sensitive skin.
Aura is more expensive,
but I personally think
that you pay for the formulation here.
At Aura you get a really good formulation
and I don't like the feeling of Carave.
Fortunately, this is not a video
about a cheaper alternative.
Carave is inexpensive,
but offers more advantages
and more useful ingredients.
So while you achieve an improvement
of your barrier functions,
you also get an improvement of skin tone.
So it really depends on you and your budget
when it comes to this product.
I don't think there is a big difference,
but I can really feel it in the formulations.
But let me know what you think
of these alternatives.
If you have tried them and think
that the originals are better,
