Hello, I'm Rachel Weisz.
Welcome to my British Harper's Bazaar cover shoot.
Style, I think it's two things.
I think it's how I really dress in my everyday life
and then a fantasy life.
So real life, what I've learned about style
is whatever's the quickest way to get dressed in the morning
is the best way.
So I just stick to jeans, t-shirts, boots,
things like that.
But then I have a whole fantasy alter ego
which doesn't get dressed up much
but is like vintage 1970s Yves Saint Laurent.
So what I've learned is it's okay
to have a fantasy life and a real life.
Beauty in general is often something
that is slightly off center or imperfect.
It's free, it doesn't cost you money.
It's sleep and water.
Two things that I think are essential.
I'm lucky at this point in my career
in that I can choose jobs.
When I started out I just,
any job that I got offered to pay the rent.
But now I can choose and I think when I started out
I just, everything was interesting.
And now not everything's interesting to me.
There are some things that I really want to lean into,
certain kinds of stories and that's a lot of fun.
I love being a mom.
I guess that's the thing I learned about family.
Love.
There's all different kinds of loves.
There's love for your kids, love for your parents.
I have girlfriends that I've been friends with
since I was a kid and that's a very strong love.
And then a marriage which is a totally different
kind of love.
I think confidence is really hard to fake.
Maybe some people are good at faking it
but I think you either have some inner confidence
or you don't.
I think it's a hard thing to put on.
It's having belief in yourself
which is I think really challenging for everyone.
I think we need feminism in the world.
I celebrate the differences between the sexes.
I think it's wonderful that we're really different.
I think we kind of need each other
to balance each other out.
Come along a long way but I think there's a long way to go.
