Hi guys, how are you?
Hello!
What's your name?
Owen Walsh.
Owen!
Where are you from?
I'm from Wexford.
And you're obviously a musician here.
I am indeed.
Do you play full-time?
What do you do?
Part-time musician, now part-time rugby coach, just trying to be a rock star.
Wow.
Living the dream.
Trying to.
What are you going to sing for us today, Owen?
I'm going to sing Toxic by Britney Spears.
Alright, looking forward to this.
Okay, let us have it.
Okey-dokey.
Alright.
Baby, can't you see I'm calling?
Should we wear a warning?
It's dangerous, I'm falling.
There's no escape, I can't wait.
I need a hit, baby give me a hit.
Slowly, it's taking over me.
And the taste of your lips, I'm on a ride.
You're toxic, I'm slipping under.
With a taste of a poison paradise.
I'm addicted to you.
Don't you know that you're toxic?
Intoxicate me now.
We are loving now.
Think I'm ready now.
I think I'm ready now.
Intoxicate me now.
We are loving now.
Taste of your lips, I'm on a ride.
I'm addicted to you.
Don't you know that you're toxic?
Self into that, Owen.
I appreciate that.
And I'll take Britney any way I can get her.
That was really fun.
And so different.
And so passionate.
Who knew that toxic could be so passionate?
That was amazing.
Let's talk to the judges.
Louis, what do you think?
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.
Because I love that song.
But I love the way you changed it.
It's nothing like the old Britney arrangement.
And I love your voice.
And I love the fact you gave it 100%.
Thank you, Louis.
Denise?
Yeah, I love the song choice.
I thought it was very different.
And for me, the performance is really, really important.
And you so got into it.
We felt every word.
Really good.
I love the way you lashed it out so much that when you're finished,
you had to walk away from the situation.
It was so good at the end.
To go back again and go, oh, God, was that me?
Yes, that was me.
Yes, it was you.
You're as good as your strawberries from your county.
That's what you are.
So well done, Wexford.
Well done, Owen.
Brilliant.
So we're going to go down the line and take our votes here.
Denise?
It's a yes from me, definitely.
Jason?
Total yes.
Well done.
Thank you very much.
Go ahead, Louis.
Owen Walsh.
Yes.
Thank you.
And it's a yes from me, too, Owen.
You got four yeses.
Awesome.
Thank you.
How do you feel?
Four yeses.
Awesome.
Great comments.
Yeah, I know.
That woman was so nice.
I'm petrified of Louis hating me.
No, he didn't.
He loves you.
Hey, my name is Owen Walsh.
I'm 23, and I'm from Wexford, Ireland.
Ireland's got talent.
I don't need to say Ireland.
I live in Wexford, in Goree, in a lovely little village
called Ballycanoe.
And I live basically next door to the family house
with my granny.
I'm just taking care of her now at the moment.
My two passions are rugby and music.
I play rugby for the local team.
I coach rugby five days to six days a week.
And if I'm not playing rugby, I do a lot of songwriting.
And this is sort of trying to get my music up
to the level that my rugby is at at the moment
because I love coaching rugby.
But at the same time, if someone said in the morning,
there's your record deal.
Go tour the world.
I'm gone.
