Does the Bible say anything about current events? It certainly does. It's
our focus to be culturally relevant and to communicate a perspective from the
Scriptures. As Christians we should have a biblical perspective of the news and
be able to share that perspective with others. Welcome to today's news and
biblical views. In 1st Chronicles chapter 12 verse 32 the Bible says that the men
of Issachar understood the times and knew what Israel ought to do. We ought to
be students of our times, understanding what's happening in our culture. We are
Americans for the most part. What is happening in America but what is also
happening around the world? And then we should have a biblical perspective on
these things. Today we're going to be talking about the Assyrians and we have
an author, evangelist, a man of God with us today that's going to be talking on
this subject. And we'd just like to say for those of you in Lancaster County,
Harrisburg, and York, and Gettysburg, Carlisle, you're probably very familiar
with Dr. Ron Susack. And so we introduce him to you today. Ron, welcome to today's
news and biblical views. I can't believe I'm here with you. Great to see you. We've
been friends for a long time and now Rob and I are going to be new friends. Good.
And a beautiful studio. You guys are really shooting the stars. Well, thank
you. Ron, do you remember when we met? You had me at your church to preach. Okay.
But that's when you got fired. Yeah. 1982, Niagara Falls, North American Baptist
Conference. That's right. Bill Mummert, pastor of Gettysburg Baptist Church in
Gettysburg, introduced us and that was 1982, 39 years ago. Amazing. It's been a
long time. So Ron, God has really captured your attention on Assyria. But before we
just get to the topic, just tell us a little bit about your life, your ministry,
your wife. Well, I was raised near Pittsburgh and my wife was raised in
York. And when we got married, we decided to compromise and move to York. Okay. Made
for a happy marriage. And my wife's a singer and God has blessed her in a
wonderful way. She's had a great ministry over the years. We've done a lot of
crusades together and a lot of conferences. And then, a bishop in Africa
and I became very concerned about the trend away from the gospel that we saw
hitting different continents, talking about everything but the gospel. And the
commission that Christ gave us is the gospel, the pure and simple gospel. And so
we said, well, we can either sit here and gripe or we can do something. So we began
to conduct great commission summits across Africa. And God, we held one in
England as well. And God has blessed that in a wonderful way. Then COVID came. And
that's when we began to pray. And now the Lord has opened up television for us. And
we started televising the March 1st. And just yesterday, we were given a channel on
Roku. So interesting things are happening. So we're thrilled.
So Ron, the Assyrian prophecy, this is a book that you wrote just recently. So why
should we be concerned about the Assyrian people?
You know, it's interesting. The Assyrian people, to give you a real quick
background, we know them from the Old Testament. And if you only know them from
the Old Testament, you'll tend to have a very dark view. Well, they were hard on
Israel. Therefore, they're bad people. Well, they happen to be the creators of the
cradle of civilization. They happened to have been the geniuses of the world for
many, many centuries. And they were hard. And God did discipline them. He brought
them down in 612 BC. But what nobody knows, we've never heard it here in the
And many of the East don't know it. Three years after the resurrection, they began to
follow Jesus Christ as a nation. And they became the mega voice of the gospel for the
first 800 to 1300 years after Christ. They took the gospel from northern Iraq. They
were in northern Iraq, the southeastern part of Turkey and part of Syria. And that
was their nation. And they took the gospel from there all the way to China. China
called them the luminous religion. We found a plaque buried in the ground with
that, China commending them. They took the gospel through Thomas all the way to
India. They are our spiritual parents, and we don't even know it. Wow, that's
amazing. Wow. Ron, glad to have you on the show again. Yeah. And how did God draw you
into actually writing the Assyrian prophecy? Great question. It began probably
40 years ago, and I didn't know it was a call. I was sitting in my study, reading
the book of Isaiah, and I read the prophecy. Israel, Assyria and Egypt. We
actually have that text if you want to read it. Let's put it up and read it. In
that day, there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and Assyria will come
into Egypt and Egypt into Assyria, and the Egyptians will worship with the
Assyrians. In that day, Israel will be the third with Egypt and Assyria, a
blessing in the midst of the earth. Think about that. These three nations are going
to impact the whole world with blessing, whom the Lord of hosts has blessed,
saying, Blessed be Egypt, my people, and Assyria, the work of my hands, and Israel,
my inheritance. Well, when I was done reading that, I did a dangerous thing. I
leaned back in my chair, literally in my little study, and said out loud, God, did
you make a mistake? There are no Assyrians. That's how dumb I was. I did
not know my history. They were brought down as an empire, but never ended as a
nation, and now they were fragmented into tribes, but they became the
mighty voice of the gospel for hundreds of years, until God allowed them to be
pounded into obscurity, and they are the most persecuted part of the church to
this day. Tens of thousands have been martyred because of Jesus Christ. Tens of
thousands. There was a time when two-thirds of their nation was wiped out
at one time, and so as I began to learn this, I really was getting more and more
intrigued. The story's in the book. I hope everybody will get this book and
read it, because it's our future. It's happening now. We are clearly
walking through the door into the end of the end times, and so if you
want to know where God's going, this book will give you another
road marker where God is moving, so we can move with Him. But the fascinating
thing is that they are more decimated than ever in their history. They are now
because of ISIS attacking them. In Iraq? In Iraq, in northern Iraq. There
was about a half million left in Iraq till ISIS attacked. Now there might be a
quarter of a million at the most left. The rest are scattered. We have them in
New Jersey. We have them in California, Phoenix, Arizona, Australia, Sweden,
Germany. They're all over the world, and so just like God did with Israel, God's
going to regather them and take them home. Wow, amazing. So they're making a
great impact following their conversion. Oh, my word. We're here today
because of them. They were the original voice of the gospel, and that was not
brought into our history books, and we in the West are really ignorant of the East,
the strains of theology and their teaching and so forth. So they are
written, and by the way, I'm an evangelist. That's my passion. The Great Commission
is my whole life, and I shared with both of their patriarchs, the one retired,
and now they have a new patriarch, and both of them have placed their blessing
on what we're doing, and I shared with them, when God takes you home, every
camera, every news camera in the world is going to be focused on you. How did you
do this? Who are you? Where did you come from? What's this about? And I said,
please, I'm doing this so that when those cameras are focused on you, preach
the gospel, just like your forefathers did. Preach the gospel. And so I think
that God, a friend that helped me with the book called this the bookends
of our age. They launched the gospel, and I see them being raised up of God
as a mighty voice at the end time. Wow, that's exciting. Well, gentlemen, we're
going to take a brief break, and we're going to come back and continue the
discussion about the Assyrian prophecy. So thank you for being with us, and we'll
be back after this message.
Today's News and Biblical Views is produced and recorded in the studios of
Lighthouse TV. Positively different.
Welcome back to Today's News and Biblical Views. I'm Rob Fields along with
Pastor Larry Bird, and today we have with us a special guest, Dr. Ron Susek, and
we're talking about the Assyrian prophecy, and really fascinating to hear
about what has happened to the Assyrian people and the influence that it's had
upon the gospel, as you were saying. You know, Ron, how come we haven't really
heard about the Assyrians until now? And probably even just a follow-up question
on it, it seems that they were driven almost into annihilation and obscurity.
Absolutely. What would be your thoughts on that?
Satan is permitted by God to challenge everything God's doing. It's a permission
of God. He can challenge it, he can fight it. And Satan well knows, from a biblical
perspective, he knows very well that when this prophecy is fulfilled, he's in the
pit for a thousand years. He's fighting tenaciously. I'll just give you one
illustration. I could walk you through history and give you many, but we don't
have time for that. But at the end of World War I, well, at the beginning of
World War I, England and France found the Assyrians up in the Hakadi
Mountains. They went there just for security. Nobody saw them for centuries
because everybody wanted to kill them. And they said, look, if you help us
win this war, we know who you are. We will give you your land and
protect you till you become a sovereign nation again with your own state. Well,
they said, okay, England, they're a Christian nation. We're Christians, so
they'll stand by their word. France is a Christian nation, Roman Catholic, so
they'll stand by their word. When World War I ended, and this is in the book,
this is documented in the book, when World War I ended and the League of
Nations began to divide up the Middle East, they would not even let the
Assyrians in the door. And one Brit said to the Parliament in Britain,
this angers me every time I say it, he said, there are times when the affairs of
the state are more important than morality. We don't have to stand by our
word, let them die. And as a result came, in 1933 then, came a massacre, and I
won't go into, the details are in the book, it's just a lot. But this is why
they have been pounded into the ground in World War I. World War II, we did the
exact same thing. We came back and said, please help us. And by the way, these
people are so tenacious, when they make a commitment, they don't go back. They've
been persecuted and died for Jesus for 2,000 years and have never betrayed Him.
And they've never been vengeful people. They are people of peace. When they are
restored, they will be a peace factor in the Middle East. This is critical to our
geopolitical scene. This is critical to what's happening today and is critical
to prophecy. Every Christian needs to understand this and begin to get with
God in prayer for God to bring this to pass.
Ron, do you think that, now you've met some of the top Assyrian leaders.
Yes.
And they, I mean, their theology is solid. I mean, this is biblical right out of
the Word of God. You must be born again type of approach to the understanding of
the gospel.
They don't use all of our terms. But when you get past the terms you discover,
they get it. They've had it. And they're into terms that were used by the early
church 2,000 years ago. We are the ones who changed terms. We're always changing
terms. You know, we got to get up with the lingo and so forth. They are still
speaking Aramaic because that's the language of Jesus. Now, not all of them
speak it, but they are the stakeholders. And there are many ways that they are
developing towards us through media. But we are also discovering they are holding
things that we need to get back to.
Where are they now? Where are the Assyrians?
All over the world. Because when ISIS attacked in northern Iraq in 2014 and
15, there were about a half a million Assyrians left, another three and a half
million scattered around the world. And we don't know how many are in sex slavery
because they have been, their daughters have been kidnapped and sold into sex
slavery, raped. I mean, the story is so ugly. You don't even talk much about it.
It makes you sick of what has happened to these people. But they're scattered.
Their daughters are scattered across the Middle East. We don't know how many are
under robes now into forced slavery, pleading with God to set them free. And
so I'm convinced that once that new nation begins and they find out that
there's a safe zone to run to, they could become probably a nation up to 10
million people overnight. But right now there are some in northern New Jersey.
They are in northern and southern California, Phoenix, Arizona. They are in
Australia, Germany, Switzerland. They're all around the world.
And many of them have just come here since 2014.
Many have, yes. And again, it's for survival. In fact, I got to tell you this.
I have talked with some of them on the phone who said, yes, tell my story, but
don't use my name. They're still terrified that they're going to be hunted
down and killed here in America. That is that they are in post-trauma. It's
incredible. So it's not just overseas, but they could be watching the broadcast.
Oh, yes. Yes, absolutely.
Wow. Yeah. Well, and what would you see, you know, with prophecy coming into this?
What would you see as their future, especially with such a hard, hard journey
that they've had here?
Our goal is to to begin an awakening.
We need to awaken the church worldwide to begin to pray.
And we are working to awaken governments.
I'm not free to speak to this openly now yet publicly.
It'll come out eventually.
But there are some pretty high level people that are now reading the book and
they're beginning to talk about these things.
And so what what we are looking for is eventually that when this movement becomes
strong enough, both politically and spiritually from the church and the and
politics, that they discover these people have a four thousand year legal right to
that land and they've been kicked out of their homes.
And so all they need is protection.
That's all.
Just give us our land back.
And there is plenty of land there.
It's not like we got to throw people out to get them in.
We have sections that there's plenty of land.
Just give us the right for our sovereignty, because we have a four thousand year legal
right to that and protection and we'll build the nation.
You'll have to do it for us.
We'll do it. And they're brilliant people.
They'll do it with with this prophecy that you read from Isaiah.
Do they have to be a nation almost like Israel as official nation?
Do they have to be established as a nation and ordered for that prophecy?
I argue that because the Bible says it and some of them have given up hope and they
think that, well, let's be a viral virtual nation scattered around the world.
No, there's a highway connecting the three of you.
It's the highway of holiness.
And we talk about this in the book.
Explain it. Every Christian needs to know this.
That highway of holiness is a literal highway, but it's also a symbolic highway, a symbol
that when the Messiah comes, the whole world is going to have to conduct itself the same
as they do on that highway.
No evil people will be allowed on that highway.
No evil people will be allowed in America or any any other nation that is corrupting
the courts, corrupting our schools, corrupting our our commerce.
So the highway of holiness is the standard of the coming reign of Christ.
Wonderful, Ron. Thank you so much for sharing.
We're going to take a break and we're going to come back and continue a little bit more
in our discussion. Thank you for being with us on today's News and Biblical Views.
We'll be right back after this word.
Welcome back to today's News and Biblical Views.
And today we're talking about the Assyrian prophecy with Dr.
Ron Susack, who is with us.
It's just been an incredible discussion to hear about what the Assyrians have gone
through. But as we continue on, we'd like for you to see this little video clip about
the book and and just to catch an eye of a little bit of a glimpse of the story that
is in the book.
And he who sat on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
Right. For these words are true and faithful.
The world is not ending.
God is preparing a new world soon to begin.
An ancient nation thought lost to extinction is soon to rise anew to prepare for that
day. Isaiah identified this nation in a prophecy that has been hidden in plain sight for
some twenty seven hundred years.
Its name is Assyria.
My new book, The Assyrian Prophecy, reveals how Assyria will join with Israel and Egypt
to bless the world under the soon coming Messiah.
Amid today's chaos, God is searching for righteous people through whom he will bring the
prophecy to completion.
When you reach the end of this book, one question will be in your mind, Lord, what would
you have me to do?
So, Ron, how could we get the book?
What would be the best way?
The least expensive way is just to go to the website, The Assyrian Project.
Be careful, not the Assyrian prophecy.
It's a for the Assyrian prophecy, but the Assyrian project dot org, the Assyrian project
dot org.
There's a nice discount on it.
We're doing that because we just got to get the story out and we need all the help we
can to get this story out.
And so and I hope the people will drop us a note and let us know of their interest.
We'll do what we have a couple of magazines.
I don't think, oh, you've got one right beside you.
If anybody writes to us at Ron Susack, Box 3007, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, I'd love to
send you a copy of this new magazine called The Assyrian Awakening.
And just just get your background information on it and become familiar, because only God
can make this happen.
Humanly speaking, it's impossible.
They're they're a goner of a of a nation.
But God said, no, he's called them the work of my hands.
And I think that ISIS really stepped on something dangerous, touching the work of God's
hands. But God's got to bring them back.
And so I really hope that people will awaken with us.
Ron, you know, when we think of prophecy, some people, they get afraid.
They think, oh, prophecy is not to scare us.
It's to prepare us so that we're ready for what God is revealing.
It will come to pass.
Yeah, it's God's word will come to pass.
What are some of the goals of the Assyrian project?
Well, the first goal is we need to awaken the church worldwide to begin to pray.
Only God can make this happen.
And I'm glad for what you said about it's not a scary thing.
If you study the book of Revelation, it's exciting, very positive because God is the one
in command. And he's doing this not out of anger, but out of wrath.
His wrath is coming out of his love.
You wouldn't listen to me when I blessed you.
So now let me show you what sin can do and millions are going to come to salvation.
And there's tremendous worship and praise found throughout the book of Revelation.
Nothing to fear in prophecy.
If you have any fear, just be on the wrong side of the fence.
That's why the people have fear.
They're not on the right side.
Precisely.
To come to Jesus.
Exactly.
So first thing we want to do is awaken, educate the church and the political scene.
And we are now seeing inroads into the political scene.
There are politicians who are really getting interested and talking about this.
Secondly, we need to see we are going on media now.
We began on March 1 televising.
It's not only about the Assyrians.
It's about exactly what you guys are doing.
And that is bringing a biblical perspective of world events.
And this is part of it.
The Assyrian thing is part of it.
And so we are planning to do a very serious, very high tech documentary on the
Assyrians because we need to educate.
Once enough people get the picture and it's God's time.
Then it's going to begin all the right people that know how to move this thing
forward because it's going to demand a lot of assistance to get them re-established as a
nation. So it's a huge project.
But what we do know is going to happen.
So, Ron, real quick with a few seconds left here.
Our viewers, what can they do on behalf of the Assyrian people?
Right now, the biggest thing, and I know this sounds like a cliche, but I mean it.
Get into this book, read it and and recognize the power of prayer.
Jesus was was set up in Psalm chapter two.
Jesus was established by God as the king of kings and lord of lords.
But he said, ask me.
He said to his own son, ask me and I will give you the nations.
Well, he already set him up there.
There's something in God's economy that what he's going to do.
He now calls for prayer on Earth.
What did Jesus tell us to pray?
Thy will be done on Earth as it's already established in heaven.
So we need Christians who will begin to really pray that God will orchestrate the events of the world.
Open eyes, open hearts.
And I don't know how much time we have left, but 12 seconds.
OK, 12 seconds. I won't go there.
I'll come back sometime.
OK, Ron, thank you very much for being with us.
May God bless you and continue to stir your heart with this message.
And we would encourage you.
You'll see information on how you can get the book, the Syrian prophecy.
And remember, prophecy is not to scare us, folks.
It is to prepare us for what is coming.
Jesus is coming again.
We see world events coming together, wars, rumors of wars, earthquakes, pestilences.
All of these things are pointing to the fact that Jesus is coming.
Are you ready to meet Jesus?
Have you been born again?
Have you repented of your sins?
Have you received him as savior and lord?
For by grace are we saved through faith and that not of ourselves.
It is the gift of God, not by works.
Lest anyone should boast.
You can't be saved by doing good works, but you can be saved by faith and faith alone.
Open your heart to Jesus.
Believe, receive and then go and do his will.
Thank you so much for watching today's program.
God bless you.
