This recipe has got everything, it's cozy, it's satisfying and it's got a lovely kick of heat
and it's ready in 20 minutes, a brilliant midweek meal that the whole family will love.
Hi I'm Nicky, welcome back to our kitchen where we show you how to make delicious
family-friendly recipes. This buffalo minced beef spaghetti ticks all the boxes of my family
for a quick easy dinner that's absolutely delicious and guaranteed clean plates all
round so let's get cooking, we're going to start by putting the pasta on.
Now I've got a large pan of salted water coming to the boil over here and we're going to cook 300
grams which is about 10 and a half ounces of dried spaghetti, you can use any pasta you like with this
dish but I like spaghetti best. Now the rest of this dish comes together while the pasta is cooking.
Heat a large frying pan over a medium to high heat and once that pan's hot we're going to add
in 500 grams or 1.1 pounds of minced beef, then sprinkle on two tablespoons of cajun spice mix
and half a teaspoon of black pepper. Stir it all together and fry for five to six minutes,
stirring often and breaking up any large pieces of mince as you go until that mince is nice and browned.
Sprinkle over a crumbled beef stock cube and stir together.
Now we're going to add in a finely diced onion, a finely diced red and yellow bell pepper,
two cloves of minced garlic and two sliced jalapenos.
Stir together and cook for five minutes stirring often until that onion softens slightly.
Now add in a small bunch of roughly chopped spring onions,
60 mil or four tablespoons of hot pepper sauce, a tablespoon of Worcester sauce,
a tablespoon of cider vinegar,
100 mil which is about a third of a cup plus a tablespoon of double or heavy cream,
and then sprinkle on 50 grams which is about half a cup of finely grated parmesan cheese.
Stir it all together and bring to a gentle simmer. By now that spaghetti should be ready
so we want to drain this spaghetti reserving a cup of that starchy cooking water.
Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the minced beef
and add a couple of splashes of that pasta cooking water to loosen up the sauce.
Toss it all together using a set of tongs until the pasta and the mince is all combined.
This is going to be spicy, creamy and so tasty.
And now we're ready to serve, divide the pasta between bowls and top with some sliced jalapeno,
a sprinkling of parmesan and some crunchy garlic bread.
And that's my buffalo minced beef spaghetti, lots of layers of flavour with a spicy creamy kick,
and if you love those buffalo flavours too then why not try my buffalo chicken pasta
or this amazing buffalo chicken burger, see you over there.
